Vivian couldn't sleep. She touched the second area on the bed and found it very cold which meant Ralph didn't sleep there at all. She shouldn't be bothered but that was exactly the way Charles behaved when they were married.
Charles would always return home at midnight. He lied about work into the night. He has always told her that he owed her no explanation but now, she knows he spends most of his intimate time with his mistress.
She will wait for him throughout the night regardless. Sometimes, he will come home drunk. Sometimes, he wouldn't even come home at all.
He doesn't care that she had spent a lot of time in the kitchen. He doesn't care that she will nurse severe back pain due to her sleeping on the couch regularly. Sometimes, she sleeps off on the couch without realizing it and meets her husband on the bed. He never cared to take her inside the room.
She pushed away those thoughts, not wanting to remember them anymore. Charles has hurt her enough. He isn't worth her thinking or stressing herself about.
"But where did Ralph go?" She muttered, getting out of the bed slowly. She checked the bathroom and realized he was never in the room at all.
Earlier, about thirty minutes ago, he walked into the room. She felt him watching her and she dozed off. But now that she is awake, she can't find him. Maybe earlier it was just a simple hallucination.
Vivian adjusted her robe and put on the flip flops. The main reason why she couldn't sleep was because she could hear right through the walls.
The moaning sounds. The screaming. The pounding. It was making her feel a terrible headache and a stupid turn on. Why would Charles be this shameless with Franca? Why can't they keep their voices down?
Vivian went out of the room and headed towards where the sounds were coming from. She has no idea why she is going there. She can't possibly go try to stop them because they are too drowned in their pleasure.
Gently, she brought up her shaky hands and opened the door slightly and silently. There they are; her ex - husband and his mistress.
It was doggy style. Charles had her back bent over his dick as he fucked her mercilessly. It is no wonder why she was screaming. What if their parents hear of it? Well, they are adults anyways but they should still have a little bit of courtesy.
Vivian's lips pursed upwards as she tried not to cry but the tears rolled down, one after the other. Charles has never touched her before. Most of the kisses they shared were forceful ones. Maybe he had to force himself to do it. It never felt like they were in love.
She has always cried to receive a one third type of affection from him. She has never been touched, talkless of going to this style in sex. Everything is ruined. She kept her virginity for Charles but the same virginity is still intact with no one to pop it for her. Maybe a random stranger will do that.
"It is wrong staring at them like that." Vivian's body jerked in shock. It was Ralph. He had just caught her staring at those having sex. Her cheeks had no choice than to heat up in embarrassment. This wasn't her intention at all.
Vivian didn't look at him. She still had tears in her eyes. "I am sorry. I just found myself here." She said, biting her lower lip slowly.
Ralph groaned and pulled her hands, leading her back to the room. "You don't need to watch them when we can do our own too." He flirted.
"Stop, Ralph. I am not your kind of woman." Vivian said shyly. But she called herself to order immediately. The last time she was shy in front of him, he acted like a total shithead and it wasn't going to happen again.
Ralph dropped her hands. "Yes, you are right. I like my women to be very experienced, not some wack virgin." He rolled his eyes.
Vivian felt annoyed by his statement so she removed her flops and jumped on the bed, using the quilt immediately. Who gave him the right to talk like that? Calling her a wack virgin? It's not her fault she is a virgin at twenty five years old. Silly!
The door closed and she knew Ralph just went outside. She cried herself to sleep. The next morning wasn't what she expected as she went downstairs after taking a quick bath and wearing her dress from yesterday.
"Where is your husband?" Bella asked.
Vivian was startled at first and right, she forgot she has another husband now. "Um, -- he is still in bed." She stuttered an answer, hoping her lies weren't obvious. They didn't sleep in the same bed! Her mind yelled.
"You look -- radiant." Bella smiled, welcoming Franca who sent a quick look at Vivian.
Why wouldn't she glow up overnight? She received the fuck session of her life last night in her husband's parents house. Isn't that great?
Charles just went straight to the dining table without looking at his ex - wife at all. Maybe he has finally peeled his thoughts and eyes off her.
"Why isn't Ralph down yet?" William asked, removing his eye glasses.
Vivian's eyes widened slowly. Obviously, she has no freaking idea. Oh God! She should have waited for him somehow. Now, she is to bear the burden and cover up with lies.
"Ralph -- he isn't so much of a morning person. You know, grumpy." Vivian smiled awkwardly as she lied.
Bella chuckled, "You know him so well already." Oh, wow. She is correct.
Breakfast was ready. They headed to the dining area as everyone had their seats just like yesterday. Vivian made sure to save a seat for Ralph while Charles and Franca had their seats opposite them.
"You called me grumpy?" Vivian's hair stood as Ralph whispered behind her ears.
"Can you stop sneaking on me like that?" She frowned, whispering back.
"Sweet morning, my love." Ralph said aloud, kissing Vivian's cheek. She managed to smile, knowing it was just for the family to see.
They began to eat, in peace. Just the clicking of forks and spoons on plates could be heard. Everywhere was silent until Bella broke the silence.
"We have to get you new clothes, Vivian." She said with a smile.
Vivian looked at her surprisingly. "What for?"
"I took care of that already." Ralph answered Bella indifferently but looked at his wife thereafter. "The shopping bags will arrive here in a few minutes."
Vivian had no idea what was going on. "I don't understand. Is there another party we need to attend?" She asked.
"No, you and Ralph have moved in here since yesterday night. You will stay here for a few months, with your husband." Bella explained with another smile. Vivian's mouth dropped in shock.
"No, you and Ralph have moved in here since yesterday night. You will stay here for a few months, with your husband." Bella explained with another smile. Vivian's mouth dropped in shock. She looked in between the two brothers. No, this actually doesn't concern Charles. She glanced at her husband and saw him smiling. Is he okay with this new development? Why didn't he inform her before now?Vivian hissed as she slapped his thighs. "You never told me!" She gritted her teeth in anger."My wife says she will have some watermelon juice instead." Ralph suddenly said and Vivian's eyes went wide again. He doesn't mean it. She hasn't eaten a single thing since yesterday. Bella had a concerning look on her face, "Are you on a diet, Vivian?" She asked.Vivian shook her head negatively. Shit! Ralph just put her in an uncomfortable situation. First, he didn't tell her about them spending months in his parents house and second, he is trying to deny her food? That's ridiculous!"I think his grumpin
Vivian’s heart raced as she approached the building for the first time. She had always imagined visiting him here, and today would bring her imagination to reality. She brushed her hands down her dress, straightening it, trying to calm the nervousness she was feeling. But the moment she stepped through the doors, her excitement turned sour. Faces turned toward her, eyebrows furrowed, searching her whole being like she was some alien.Vivian approached the front desk with her head held high. “I’m here to see Mr. Norman. I’m his wife,” she said. The receptionist looked her up and down and replied without a second thought. “I’m sorry, ma’am, but you don’t have an appointment.”“But I’m his wife,” Vivian repeated, her voice hinting desperation. “I don’t need an appointment to see my husband.”The receptionist’s eyes were on her. “I’m sorry, but Mr. Norman is very busy. You will have to come back another time.”Vivian clenched her fists, feeling her cheeks burn as several nearby employee
Charles leaned back in his chair, a smile stretching across his face as he looked her up and down with contempt. “Your fair share?” he sneered. “What exactly do you think you’re worth, Vivian? You’re nothing. You contributed nothing to this company or my life. Whatever you think you’re owed, you’re mistaken.”Vivian clenched her fists, feeling the state of humiliation and rage surge in her chest. She had had enough of his insults. He had begged her to help him out, but now, he pretended like he did not even recall. He was supposed to be her husband; the man she had given up her dreams and opportunities for, the man she had stood by, believing in him when he was at his lowest. And now he was discarding her like she was worthless and a piece of garbage.“Nothing, huh?” she shot back, her voice shaking. “Well, remember this moment, Charles. I gave up my dreams and contributed to the growth of this company. Just bear it in mind that I will make you regret it.”"What company are you talk
Vivian adjusted her uniform, hoping it looked presentable as she began her shift at the bar. It was not the life she had imagined for herself, but she needed the money. She was in a new city, with no one to lean on, and she was determined to make it on her own, no matter how exhausting it felt. But that night, she was really tired. Her head felt fuzzy, and she kept acting clumsy. By the time her shift ended, she was more than exhausted. She pushed through the back door, stepping into the cold night and making her way home.Suddenly, the blinding headlights of a car came out of nowhere, and before she could react, she felt a sharp pain and she collapsed on the ground.***When Vivian opened her eyes, the white ceiling and walls of the hospital room greeted her. Vivian sat alone in her apartment, her hands shaking as she stared down at the business card Ralph had given her, his name printed boldly across it.She had come here to escape the mess of her past, to start fresh and carve out her own life without anyone’s help or pity. But here she was—jobless, pregnant, and uncertain of what the future held. She decided to continue her life and pretend that nothing happened. As she was working, a customer crossed the line, grabbing her arm and pulling her close. Angrily, she yanked her arm free and slapped him hard across the face. "How dare you humiliate a customer? Do you know who he is?" Her boss yelled at her."Sir, you saw—""You are fired!" ***Taking a deep breath, she picked up her phone and dialed Ralph’s number. He answered almost immediately as if he had been expecting her call.“Vivian,” he greeted. “I take it you’ve made a decision?”She closed her eyes and sighed. “Yes. Let’s meet. I want to discuss the contract.”When she arrived
“Well, well, look who decided to show her face,” he sneered, trying to cut in. “I didn’t think they let just anyone in here.”Vivian’s jaw tightened. His words stung, but she forced herself to hold herself up high, meeting his gaze with composure. “Charles,” she said smoothly, “anyone can get in here, you know?"He smirked, crossing his arms. “What is a nobody like you doing here? Thought you would be hiding in some apartment by now.” His gaze drifted over her dress, looking as if he were searching for some flaw to point out. “Or did you hitch a ride with someone you found at the bottom of the barrel just like I did?”She had expected insults, so she came prepared. “Actually, I was invited. And you’d be surprised, Charles, how much the world has to offer once you get rid of rotten meat.”His smirk faded, a flash of irritation passing over his face. He had not anticipated her quick retort, and she took satisfaction in the faint look of surprise in his eyes.He scoffed, but there was a
An unsure look crossed Vivian's facial features as she stared back at those waiting for her response. Ralph just mopped out a chance for her to get a slice of her revenge against her ex - husband. "As much as I don't want to see your face, I feel like we should hear what he has to say." She struck a glance at Ralph, "How about we schedule a ten minute meeting?" A sly smile appeared on her face.Charles was flabbergasted as he stared at Vivian in anger. How dare she stomp on him with disrespect like this? Ten minutes meeting? What is he? Vivian was surprised that Charles could stop them on their way. She did expect he was going to. They had no business together. Why does it seem like he is pissed about everything?"What do you want, Charles?" Vivian rolled her eyes, folding her arms against her chest. She really doesn't want to talk to him but there is no much choice, is there?Charles scoffed, "You divorced me and hooked up with my brother? How cheap you are!" It does look like he is really pissed about it."No, Charles. You -- divorced me!" Vivian shot back angrily. He shouldn't try to gas light her at all. "Besides, I had no idea you two are brothers. You never mentioned any of your family to me." She added, looking in between the two men.Charles and Ralph stared at each other. It was very obvious that they didn't like each other one bit. "Do you know Charles?" Ralph's mother interrupted and Vivian's entire body got sweaty immediately. She trembled slightly as she couldn't look at the woman in the face. How does she begin to explain? It doesn't make sense. Is she supposed to start telling them how Charles is her Ex - husband and how she married his brother again, Ralph? It seems like she is a leech in their family. This is totally absurd. Immediately, she knew she couldn't stay there. She didn't think she could do this anymore.
