Amara's POV

After Esther and I went into her room, she gasped, "Ah! Amara, I had already forgotten to take you to our guestroom. I was just running away from my parents."

I smiled understandingly.

"I understand," I told Esther, and she said, "That's fine. My parents can be like that sometimes. So tell me, what really happened?"

"Esther, can we go and join your parents first for dinner, and then later we can discuss this. I don't feel like talking about Darlington right now," I told Esther as I walked into her beautiful room, which was painted in pink. It was similarly large to Darlington's room at the Briggs villa.

"That's fine. Let me go and prepare my bath first, but you didn't come here with your boxes. Why?" Esther pried again.

I sat on the comforter in her room, shaking my head, "No comments about Darlington, Esther."
