WENDY’S POV “I suspect Melissa coerced Listowel into throwing me out. She was already standing in front of Listowel’s office when I got there. I’m very certain, this was her doing….” “Mmm… that lady. I hate her guts. Please, I’m all ears. Tell me what you need me to do?” My grip on my phone tightened as I replied, “I want you to……..” “What?” Ivy exclaimed. “Why would you need—” Just do it!” I shouted, annoyed at Ivy’s sudden demeanor. Wasn't she the same person that had just said she hated Melissa’s guts? Why then is she acting like I’m the bad one? “Just get it for me. I'm not going to hurt her. I just need to clear things out to get,” “Mmm…” I could sense the hesitation in Ivy’s voice. “But miss…, this sounds… extreme. Can’t you just—” “Ivy,” I growled in a low tone. “I’m not in the mood for lectures. And if for anything at all, you're the last person I would seek advice from. It’s either you get it for me or your father suffers the consequences. “I’m sorry m
WENDY’S POVStolling towards Melissa, “Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to show up,” I said, darting at her from head to toe. “May I know why you are here?” Melissa looked quite puzzled as she asked.“Oh.., spare me that pretentious act. You always want to be the bigger person huh?” “If you have nothing too important to say, I guess it is a bye then,” she said while brushing past to open her door. But I beat her to it. I rushed and blocked her access to the digital lock. “What the hell are you doing!” she snapped. A smirk played at the sides of my lips as I glared at her. Slightly leaning towards her “Yes…, I love to see you rebel. Bring the actual you out. I want the whole world to know that you're not as innocent as you look. You're a pretentious bi**h who does nothing but chase after men for money!”I guess my statement really got to her as I clearly could see the fury burning in her eyes as she halted in her steps. She actually looked a bit scary but I didn't flin
LISTOWEL’S POV The loud music playing at the bar was the perfect distraction to my thoughts. I came to this bar to reflect on my life and some choices I’ve made but the rhythmic music kept drifting me out. Humming the song, I periodically sipped the glass of whiskey that was on the counter before me. Moments like these always remind me of the past. The time when I lost hope of ever finding Melissa again. I remember how I used to drink myself to sleep every night, hoping that she would at least give me a call. Unconsciously, I asked myself, “I had it all, What went wrong?” as I drank the remaining whiskey in one gulp. The faint vibration of my phone pulled me out of my thoughts. Tilting my head to check who the caller was, I ignored it immediately I saw the caller ID and resumed pouring more of the alcohol into my glass. It was Kevin. He has been sitting outside in the car for a couple of hours now, waiting for me. So I assumed he was calling to tell me that it was late
WENDY’S POV At the mention of that b***h’s name, I halted in my tracks. My terrified expression instantly turned into a grimace as I thundered, “So this is what it is about?” Listowel’s angry face and demeanor remained unchanged as he demanded, “ I said. What were you doing at Melissa’s house ?” “Oh… she called to tell you that I went there. Isn't it? So you've been talking with her over the phone behind my—” “Wendy! Answer my question!” “Listowel! What in the world has that bitch done to you? You don’t even care about the fact that you threw me, your fiancée, out of your office like a piece of trash without a fl—,” I shouted back but my voice faltered midway. “Why are you worried about her instead of me? What does she have that I don’t have?,” I asked in a low tone, my eyes instantly turning red as they welled up with tears. “Don’t change the topic, Wendy. What right do you think you have for you to go over to her house and threaten her?” Listowel asked again, ignorin
WENDY’S POV Clinton chuckled mockingly and asked, “Who on earth dared to step on the almighty Macinni’s toes?” “Are you going to help me or not?” I snapped. Clinton is jovial by nature but this many questions of his were actually wearing out my patience. My chest tightened in anger as I awaited his response. “Chill… have I ever said no to you before? You came to me because you know I will do it, innit?” A triumphant smirk tugged at the sides of my lips at his acceptance. Clinton, my sneaky link, is the jovial type. He will always joke around whenever I ask him for a favor but he ends up doing it always. “But, wait. I hope you're not thinking I will do it for free. This thing is not easy to come by and—” “How much will it be?” His words died on his lips as I interrupted. I will send you the cost and the other details over text message…” Rolling my eyes, “Gosh!! I know you are dumb but I didn't think it was to this extent. Do you want to send it via sms? Do I loo
LISTOWEL’S POV The throbbing of my head woke me up this morning. I can't really tell if it is because of the alcohol I took in last night or not. But all that I know was that the pain was too unbearable for me to keep on laying down. Bending over the kitchen counter, I occasionally sipped the medicinal tea that I just finished boiling and took my phone and started scrolling through business feeds and blogs. The medicinal tea bags are from my grandma. For years now, even though I have workers who come around each weekend, my grandma still insists on sending me side dishes. It wasn’t until recently that she added medicines and gins to it. The ringing of my doorbell pulled me out of my thoughts. From the front door camera, I could see the workers who clean my house every weekend had arrived. I opened the door and allowed them in. “Good morning sir,” the oldest among them all greeted me as they strode to the storage room. “Good morning,” I answered and headed upstairs. A
LISTOWEL’S POV I slowed down my pace so that I could keep a safe distance. I know how worked out she's going to be if she sees me. And that would be the last thing I will want to happen. Occasionally stealing glances at her, my chest ached from longing. Just when I was about to avert my gaze from hers, I witnessed an unusual encounter. A man, suspiciously wearing a black playsuit approached Melissa.MELISSA’S POVMy previous encounter with Wendy had me boiling with anger even when after I woke up this morning. I’ve always lived my life without regrets but currently, I’m beginning to hate the day I accepted LISTOWEL’S offer to be his contract wife. Yes, it is true that my life was rocky and gloomy at that time but the consequences of getting involved with Listowel are gradually becoming overwhelming. After much reflection on the chaotic life I’ve had these past few days, I decided to descend to the park downstairs and exercise a bit while getting things off my mind. Forty-five mi
MELISSA’S POV The wailing of sirens filled the air. At long last, the paramedics were here. I wiped the tears on my face before turning to look in the way of the ambulance. “Hang in there okay, you'll be treated soon,” I said in a tone that was so comforting for someone I claim to hate. The crowd pointed in our direction and the ambulance also followed along. Some men in their uniforms brought out a wheel bed that had IV drips attached to it. When they reached our side, they carried Listowel from my lap and put him on the bed before moving him to the car. “Are you coming along?” one of them asked when he realized I was standing still staring at them with tears in my eyes. “Yes, yes,” I responded before rushing to board the ambulance as well. In the ambulance, I knelt beside him while rubbing the back of his palms. Staring at Listowel’s face, a pang of guilt pierced through my heart causing me to pray silently that nothing bad happens to him. WENDY’S POV Laying do
LETICIA’S POV I could see Melissa through the window blinds as I reached the floor on which her office was. For a couple of minutes, I glanced at her intended demeanor as she worked on her computer. She has that feminine, soft, and gorgeous aura which I understand she has been using to charm most men she comes across. Making a low sound, I cleared my throat and blinked myself back from admiring her before I proceeded to walk to her door. I raised my hands and knocked lightly on the door. Without waiting for a response, I pushed open the door and walked in. Upon my entry, she instantly raised her eyes from the computer and stared at me with an annoyed expression. The look on her face made me feel a bit guilty. Yeah, I should have waited for her to respond instead of barging in like that but… whatever. I was pissed at the fact that not only was she stealing Mr. Giovanni from me but also using me as their errand girl. Stretching the smoothie I had in my hands towar
LETICIA’S POV I hate to say this but Miss Muggins has been glowing and looking bright these days. Even after the drama Madam Gordon had come here the other day to create, she appears vibrant regardless. Anyways, I don’t really care about what goes on in her life like that. Well except for the fact that her presence in this company steals away the little attention I used to get from Mr. Giovanni. I remember how delighted I was at the time that she absented herself from work without prior permission. I remember how very well I was excited because I thought she wasn’t going to be spared. For that, I was very much sure of. I’ve witnessed quite a number of people being sacked from the firm without second chances because they didn’t hold up to their work ethics. That’s why I was so sure she was going to be fired and told her off the day she came to request for Mr. Giovanni’s telephone number. Rolling my eyes, “I guess she’s different,” I whispered lowly to myself. Gosh… Ever si
WENDY’S POV “What is wrong with you?!” I shouted, wiping off the wine stain from my dress as I glared at her. You rather should tell me what rather with you after you see this!” she gritted, the thud sound of the documents she threw at me syncing with her last words. My brows furrowed in confusion before I lowered my gaze to look at the documents scattered on the floor. “What are these?” I asked in a low voice while I slowly bent to pick up one. “I should be the one asking you that,” Grandma Gordon sternly remarked. My eyes widened in shock, my heart jumping to my throat as soon as my eyes came into contact with the document. They were; God have mercy…. Photos of me with…with Clinton. And they weren't just regular pictures but intimate ones! Who took these photos? And how did she get it? Or could it be that she hired someone to tail me? Wait? Has Listowel seen these? Gosh, I’m doomed. Doomed for good. I bent and started picking up the rest of the photos on the floor,
WENDY’S POV I had come to the beach to relax for a while because of the turmoil that was raging in my head. Recently, Listowel has become a hot topic in the city as videos of her with his supposed girlfriend have become circulating online. Most people have been wondering who his girlfriend probably is since there haven’t been any clear pictures of her with him. Listowel can deceive the public by letting Melissa disguise herself and claiming her to be mysterious but he can never deceive me. I know very well it is Melissa and those mysterious claims are bullshit to me. I’ve been tempted severally to reveal to the world that the mysterious person he claims to be his girlfriend is none other than his mistress. Melissa Muggins. But whenever I give it a second thought, I realize I will be the one in the negative as compared to what Listowel and Melissa will lose. If I reveal to the public that Listowel is with Melissa, people will start hooting and mocking me. They
MELISSA’S POV *****SEXUAL CONTENT AHEAD***** “Ughhhh…,” I let out a loud moan as LISTOWEL’S tongue moved slowly down there. I could feel my kitty slowly thumping up and down as it withered with pleasure. “Arghhh baby….,” I threw my head back as I cried. His tongue was doing wonders and it felt as if I was on cloud nine. Letting out a sweet cry, my fingers trailed through his hair as I struggled to keep lying in a single position. “Mmm…. It’s still sleek down there,” he paused and complimented before continuing, except this time he combined both fingers and tongue. My legs trembled, my nipples hardening as I felt my kitty squinting its juices. My breath hitched, the moans trapping in my throat as Listowel crawled up to suck my books while gently stroking my bud. “Oh…my…God…baby…Listowel….” My voice broke in excitement as I forced it out. “That’s it, scream. Scream my name baby,” “Good girl… I missed you so much Lisa,” he murmured, his touches and kisses adding more flames
****SEXUAL CONTENT AHEAD*** MELISSA’S POV He inched forward, wrapping his hands around my waist as he pulled me to his chest. He planted a soft kiss on my hair, savoring its smell before trailing his soft lips to the side of my neck. My hands instinctively leaned on his shoulders while my fingers seductively played with his ears. Goosebumps spread throughout my body as I took in a deep breath to calm the desire burning within me. “Mr. Gordon….,” I slowly whispered, the lewdness of it catching me by surprise. I could feel the heat his body produced immediately when I called out his name. “Mmm…?” Listowel grumbled, as he gently nibbled my neck. “Call me that again,” he said, his rugged breath fanning on my face as he uttered. He pushed my body tightly to himself as if he wanted me to enter his body. “You still have this effect on me when you call me Mr. Gordon,” he added. The gentle trail of his fingers from my nape, my back, my waist, and then on my thighs sends an electric
MELISSA’S POV Without warning, Listowel pulled me to his side, the chair I was sitting in making a small screeching sound that earned us some attention. “What are you doing?” I whispered under my breath while scanning through the corner of my eyes at the people staring at us. “Just trying to sit closer to my girlfriend,” he retaliated with a proud look. “You’re enjoying this, aren't you?” I squinted my eyes as I asked. He only cut me a small smile. Just as I had thought to change the subject, suddenly, a bright light flashed across our faces. Instinctively, I tilted my head and tried to hide but Listowel held my hands firm as he leaned closer to me and said, “Don’t worry about these people. As far as your identity is not known, let them do whatever. Let them wonder. After all, the only thing that matters is that I know who you are and how lucky, I am to have you in my life.” The air around me instantly felt hot, my cheeks slightly turning red as I used my hands to fan my f
MELISSA'S POV It’s been two weeks since I accepted Listowel’s proposal to be his girlfriend. For the past few days, Listowel has been making me feel like I’m on top of the world. We’ve been hanging out a lot, having fun here and there. The kind of excitement that has been coursing through me makes me wonder if I deserve all of this happiness. Slipping my fingers through the silk scarf I was holding, I gently rolled it before wrapping it around my neck, adjusting it in such a way that it would be able to cover half of my face. From the corner of my eyes, I could see Listowel gazing at me with a mocking expression as I was checking to see if I was well-covered. He stretched his arms and reached for my hands, squeezing them as he said, “Relax baby. No one will recognize you.” Shooting him a glare, “It is easy for you to say since you are not the one who has to hide.” I said, feigning anger. "That’s why I told you that we don't have to hide. I'm ready to let the whole world kn
MELISSA’S POV I gazed at him, for one an exasperated sigh. I placed my hand on forehead, before saying, “Are you done here? Or do you have an another ridiculous stunt to pull?”His eyes raised and it met mine, sending knot in my throat. He looked both defeated and disappointed. “What are you talking about?” He asked. “What am I talking about?” I asked, feigning anger. Pointing to my phone screen, “The ridiculous plot of yours to use Nancy’s daughter…..,” I paused, letting the word I had just said to sink in. I couldn’t believe I have just denied my baby right now. I had just lied to Listowel just to protect my baby from being denied by him but I rather have ended up denying him.Letting out a slow stead breath, i continued, “As an excuse to enter my house without permission didn’t work, so stand up and get going..” As if he was deaf, he sat still, fumbling with his fingers. Moments later, his lips parted while he looked at me right in the eye and blurted. “I came to apologize.”
