Chapter 22: Who attacked her?

We both were anxiously waiting for Miss Sandy to wake up. But due to bleeding and anesthesia, it took her a long while to get into her senses. We both were sitting on a bench beside her. I was holding Brent’s hand as I knew that he was really sad to see him in such a situation. She slowly opened her eyes and started moving her fingers but both of us were not paying much attention to her at that moment. Then I looked her and shouted in happiness, “Look Brent, Miss Sandy woke up.”

Brent immediately looked towards her. He stood up from the bench and held her hand asking, “How are you doing?”

I ran to call the doctor or nurse attending her, while Brent stayed with her. After waking up she wasn’t able to talk for a while. Brent informed the police station that she was awake. Police came and started to inquire her. The officer who was in the charge of the case was known for his skills and honesty throughout the city. His name was Harris. H
