CHAPTER 28: FIGHT
I asked Brent when he was returning back to America in order to continue his career but just like always, he changed the topic. I knew something was not right by the way he was behaving. I asked him the same question again. He left his seat and went to the kitchen to get some water. I went after him and stood behind his back. He got shocked seeing me behind him. “What?” he asked. I asked him the same question again. He looked away and replied, “I’ll go back soon”. I asked him to tell me the exact date. He started to play with his fingers. He placed the glass on the table and asked me not to get angry at him.
He resigned from his position at the hospital in America and he was jobless at that moment.
I got shocked after hearing him. How could he quit his job? He must not be in right state of mind to lose such a perfect job. I got angry at him but didn’t have any words to say as his decision was really a stupid
