I stood up after sitting out with Mr. Sterling for a while, "uhm... I'll head inside."

He nodded, and I walked back to our room, wondering why he had been so nice to me.

Taking me out to the beach to sit with me was not something every boss did with their secretary.

I gasped and rushed to put away my sleeping pills once I saw them on the table.

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair again before lying back on the couch.

It was just around 4am, so I couldn't roam about the place like I would like to. I had only seen a fraction of the establishment, and it had been in the night too, so I sat up to do some work on my laptop.

I gathered the reports that Mr. Sterling had asked for, glancing at him momentarily when he walked back into the room, and he laid quietly on the bed, while I worked, though I could feel his eyes on my back.
