Well, because she was proud, arrogant and annoying. I just wanted to put her in her place.

I ran a hand through my hair and sat down at my mini-bar where I sipped my whiskey.

I couldn't take off the look she had given when they told her that her account would remain frozen from my mind, and it was killing me.

I hated feeling like that. I don't think I've ever felt like this except with Diane, but that was different, of course.

I poured another glass of whiskey for myself and fell asleep with that thought until the next morning when I got ready for work.

I walked into the office where Raya was already placing some documents on my table, and I cleared my throat, "good morning sir" she said.
