Annelise's POV

I was sitted in the living room, scrolling through the internet when the large doors were pushed open and Ethan came inside.

I thought at first that he was looking at something in particular when he stood by the door, looking towards one direction.

Till I looked at him really well to see that his eyes were closed, he just stood there. His bag was held loosely in his hand too, making me wonder what was going on.

He eventually opened his eyes then he walked towards the staircase immediately. He lifted up his leg at the base of the staircase where there's nothing there.

He gripped the rail tightly then place his leg on the next one which happened to be the first. He walked that way till he got to the middle and didn't move again.

I had already stood up subconsciously to help him when Rex ran. He couldn't see me since I'm in the corner and he sent directly from the door to meet Ethan on the stairs.
