Chapter 88

Annelise's POV

I booked a cab then walked to the estate's gate as I'm sure they wouldn't allow a cab to enter the gates. I used the nose mask from earlier on my face as I stood on one side.

I got a notification that the cab has arrived, I looked around me to see a black car parked in the other side of the road that matched the description of the one the driver gave me.

I crossed to the other side of the road and tapped on the window.

“Annelise Simon?" He asked after winding down the window.

I nodded and he opened the door of the back seat, I got in, adjusting my nose masks.

“To the city hospital please.” I said to him, my voice a little bit muffled from the mask on my face.

“Okay ma'am." He replied then started driving away.

I looked out of the window, already deep in thought as the car sped towards the hospital.

The drive was really quiet, the only thing that could be heard was the soft purr from engine, the man looks so focused on the road.
