Ethan's POV

It's a text from my investigator, one that made me freeze up immediately when he sent it. I haven't even clicked on the file he attached to the message.

“What’s wrong?” Annelise's voice brought me back to reality. The phone in my hand was about to fall, but I held it tightly again before it could.

“It's a text from the investigator. We finally have something against Ken with this,” I said and handed the phone to her. She took it from me immediately and read the message.

The shock on my own face from before came up on her own too. “Wow, this is so good," she commented, a big smile replacing the shocked expression on her face before.

"Right, let's load the file so we see the hardcopy of the text,” I said to her, and she nodded. I downloaded the file and soon viewed it.

This is just the perfect proof to put Ken behind bars, and we'd utilize that soon. The file just showed that I wasn't the one who drove the car that night; Ken did.
