Annelise's POV

His eyes were hooded as he stared directly into mine, the darkness in those eyes was one that made me feel butterflies appear in my stomach.

“Thank you." I whispered with my face heating up.

“And this even makes you look more beautiful." He said as his hand gently came on my stomach, his touch warm and reassuring.

“And do you know what I love most about you?" He asked, and I shook my head.

"Your cheeks when you blush.” Now I know that he's just teasing me. My face was all colored from blushing so hard.

My cheeks were now practically on fire; it was really hot. I tried to hide my face with my hair, but he seemed to know what I was about to do as he lifted up my head with his thumb.

“Stop teasing me." I said, trying to sound bold, but the words just came out like what would be from a mouse.

"Who? Me? I wasn't teasing you.” He kept a straight face as though he wasn't doing what he was currently doing.
