Annelise's POV

The next morning, I woke up throwing up everything I ate in the midnight into the toilet. The acidic taste of vomit in my mouth made me feel even more nauseous.

I staggered to the living room where I laid down immediately. Esther left food for me before she left for work but I just can't bring myself to eat anything.

I feel too weak and dizzy to get anything in. I laid there till I slept off again. Morning sickness has to be the worst thing about pregnancy.

I woke up to someone ringing the apartment’s bell rather too loud and hard. I groaned out in annoyance, who could it be?
