Annelise's POV

My heart practically deflated, my hopes dashed away suddenly. My throat died up instantly as every spittle in my mouth dried up too.

“What?" Ken was the one who asked, i couldn't bring myself to say anything.

“Yes, she was signed out earlier this morning." She replied to him and looked down at her phone again.
