CHAPTER SIX:PERSUASION

CELESTE'S POV:

I angrily paced up and down. How could Zephyr do this to me? I had been there for him through thick and thin. How could he choose a disgusting rogue over me?

“Why, why, why!” I yelled,angrily running my hands through my hair.

How was it possible? Did she cast a spell on him? I mean there is absolutely no way Zephyr would fall for a rogue. Yes! That was probably it, I have to help him get rid of that dirty rogue.

Only I can be the Luna of this pack and Zephyr's woman, only me and there is no way I was going to allow a dirty packless wolf take that away from me.

I slowly began to calm down. I faced my mirror, a small smile graced my face as I began combing through my hair with my fingers. All I needed to do was get everyone in the pack to help me remove the spell that she put on him. If everyone is against it there is no way he would still be under her spell.

“You've got this Celeste, everyone will side with you.” I fixed my hair and dress before going out.

“Ronan.” I called out, he continued walking with his back towards me.

“Ronan!” I called louder and then he finally stopped in his tracks. He turned around and faced the direction I was coming from. I jogged towards him with a small smile on my face.

“Celeste.” He nodded his head as a form of greeting. “HI. How have you been? It's been a while since we spoke.” I smiled.

“What do you want?” He asked sternly. This was one of the reasons why I disliked Ronan, he thought he was better than me and he always treated me as if I was an annoying fly trying to land on his food. Everyone else in this pack loved and respected me but he and his stupid, ugly mate treated me like I was dirt.

“What do you mean, Ron?” I chuckled lightly. “We are friends after all and I was just curious how my friend is doing?”

He quirked an eyebrow and looked at me from head to toe.

“Friend?”

I bit my tongue to hold back the cuss words that I wanted to say. Goddess, I hated this man so much. All I wanted to do was kick him in the balls and beat the crap out of him, but instead I let out a light laugh.

“Yes.”

“I'm not gonna repeat myself again. What do you want?” He asked, his voice deepening.

I took a deep breath and the smile on my face instantly fell. I crossed my arms and looked around checking if anyone was around.

“The rogue.” I spat.

“What rogue?”

“The one Zephyr is keeping in his house. That rogue.” I said a frown etched on my face.

“It is none of your business…..Celeste.” He scowled. I took a step closer to him.

“Ronan. That woman is dangerous to Zephyr and to the pack. She must have cast a spell on him. I heard that she has powers. Maybe she used them to make him think that she is his mate.”

“Are you listening to yourself?”

“I know what I am saying, okay. That woman must have done something to him. There is no way Zephyr would fall for a rogue and there is absolutely no way the moon goddess would make something like that his mate.”

“Are you his mate?” He questioned.

“Ron…” he cut me off before I could finish what I wanted to say.

“You are not his mate or the moon goddess. This is none of your business. It is up to the Alpha what he wants to do with her. She is his mate, not you, the future Luna of this pack so speak about her with respect.” He growled before turning and walking away.

I could feel my insides boiling. I dug my nails into my palm, how dare he speak to me that way. I bit my lip till I tasted blood.

“Maybe I should just kill him.” I thought. How could he not see or understand what I was saying? Instead he insulted me, if he was not the Beta of this pack and Zephyr's friend I would have killed him a long time ago.

“Celeste.” Someone tapped my shoulder, bringing me out of my thoughts. I put a smile on my face and turned around. Mrs Montclair was standing there, a concerned look on her face.

“Are you ok?” She asked.

“Yes I am.” I faked a smile. This was all that stupid asshole's fault.

Her eyes moved from my hands to my lips, she quirked a brow.

“Are you sure? Your lip is bleeding.” She said,

I ran a thumb over my lips and looked at it. I forced out a chuckle. “Oh I wonder what happened.”

She slowly nodded her head.

“By the way, how is the Alpha's guest?” I smiled.

“I don't know. She is kept in one of the guest bedrooms. I am not allowed in there, only Mrs Draven is allowed to go in there.” She said,

Ugh of fucking course it had to be that bitch Kierra.

“Oh and has the Alpha gone there too?” I questioned.

“ I don't know but when I am there he never goes there. Only Mrs Draven takes her food to her.” She answered. I nodded my head.

“Do you not feel afraid, knowing that a rogue with strange powers is in the same house as you? I mean who knows what she could do?”

“I am, I do not know why the Alpha is even considering making her the Luna of our pack. He should have done to her what they do to other rogues.” She complained.

I smiled at her words, finally someone who was thinking clearly.

“I think she did something to our Alpha to make him think that she is his mate. There is no way the moon goddess would give him a rogue for a mate.”

She let out a loud gasp and her eyes widened.

“ Do you think she used her powers on him and brainwashed him?” She whispered and I nodded my head.

“Then we need to do something to save our Alpha.” She whisper yelled.

Awooooo!” a chilling howl pierced the bright sky.

A sudden sadness overwhelmed me, tears began falling down my cheeks. I looked at Mrs Montclair and she was on the ground sobbing.

I didn't understand what was happening. No matter how much I tried to stop, I couldn't stop the tears from falling.
