Eli pulled Lowena from the two girls. "What are you doing?"
Lowena looked back, and the two girls stood there with their arms folded, their faces expressions of annoyance.
"I was just dancing," Lowena defended.
"Just dancing?" Eli chuckled, "Lowena, they're vampires."
Lowena looked back at the girls. Her mouth opened, but no sound came out. The two girls rolled their eyes and began seductively dancing with one another once more.
"They have an allure about them; we all do; it's intoxicating even to us," Eli explained.
"You expect me to believe this?" she questioned.
Eli gently guided her to the next group of people dancing more effortlessly, fair-like, and beautiful. One girl had emerald green scaly skin with yellow cat-like eyes, and another looked like the waves of the water, different shades of blue and white from her dress to her hair.
"Nymphs," Eli explained, "They all have different strengths. Like Bashira, she's a snake type; Allura, she controls water elements; Lewellyn, a nature type."
"And I'll just click my heels three times and sing There's no place like home," Lowena sarcastically retorted.
Eli ran his finger through his thick locks of hair, realizing Lowena still didn't believe him after nearly transforming the night before. It would be a painful surprise when she finally did; he didn't want her to be scared.
"Hi, Eli."
A stunning, beautiful young woman sauntered over to the both of them with a seductive smile for Eli. Her long, wavy blond hair fell to her perfectly plump breasts, which were nearly overflowing and busting the seams out of her top. Her voluptuous hips were snug in her skirt, and her plump ass was peaking at the bottom.
"Arana," Eli greeted.
Arana poured liquid from a different brass chalice, the fluid trickling from the corners of her mouth, before locking lips with Eli. Lowena saw the thick purple-like fluid transfer to Eli's mouth and could have sworn she saw Eli's eye color change. Ironically, she wasn't jealous when he kissed her; it made her wish she could be in the middle of them.
"Hello, there."
Another stunning woman in a fiery red costume that seemed to glow when she was closest to fire approached Lowena. She blinked in confusion; her eyes looked like flames. It must have been the drink, she thought to herself.
"I'm Ethica," she introduced, gesturing a Phoenix chalice to Lowena in good spirits.
"I'm-"
"I know who you are," Ethica continued. Her eyes locked onto Lowena's, and she could not look away from her enticing beauty. Her cheeks blushed red.
"How?" Lowena questioned.
"This is your party, and you are wearing the initiation garbs," Ethica explained, stepping closer to Lowena and slowly raising the chalice to her lips so she could drink.
Lowena took a sip of the spicy fluid from the cup.
"Lowena! You don't know what that is!" Eli intervened.
"Why? It's not the first one I've drunk tonight," Lowena reasoned. "It's different from the last."
Eli's eyes widened in stress. "You can't simply go around drinking from every chalice presented to you."
"Why not?" she scoffed.
"It's possible to accept joining them once you turn!" Eli hissed.
"Whatever." Lowena rolled her eyes, the drink making her feel hot and soothed inside. "I thought I was turning into a werewolf."
"You can and will," Eli says. But in exceptional cases, you can be a hybrid, especially since you're a Luna."
"Hybrid?" Lowena cackled.
Her eyes met Ethica's, and a tender smile formed on her lips. Ethica stepped forward, gently pecking Lowena on the lips before walking away. Lowena frowned and began walking over to another group of curious-looking people.
They all looked to have different feather ensembles, antique shades of browns, oranges, hints of yellows, and golds, almost like toned-down Vegas showgirls. The music was different here; the chimes and beats were more poetic and effortless. She couldn't tell if they were hawks, eagles, birds, or other creatures from the sky. The air felt fresh in her lungs as she walked closer, hoping to observe them. Upon approach, one woman looked as if the feather wreaths on her ankles made her hover over the dirt, another twirling like ballet dancers, so stunning.
Another young woman approached, but she was dressed a little differently than usual. The feathers accentuated her slim waist, her copper skin glowing from the roaring flames of the fire, and the kind smile on her lips as she presented Lowena with yet another chalice designed like a large griffin. Ignoring what Eli had warned her, she took it in kind and sipped from what felt like fresh water; only Lowena had never tasted something so fresh.
Lowena looked back, but Eli was no longer by her side. Another woman was locking lips with him at another bonfire. Lowena figured this was her moment to escape his prying eyes so she could enjoy the party. The longer the liquid sat in her system, the more beautiful and euphoric everything became.
"You're beautiful," a handsome young man stated while kissing the back of Lowena's hand.
His sharp cheekbones, narrow eyebrows, pale skin, and touseled white hair were strange enough; dark red paint was smeared across his lean, bare chest and black leather pants. He had an aura about him that was enthralling and desirable. Unintentionally, Lowena stepped closer, gazing into his entrancing yellow eyes.
"You 're handsome," she admitted.
"Thank you," he cunningly smiled.
Lowena's cheeks flushed red as she backed away, dropping her head. "Sorry."
"Don't apologize," he reassured.
Lowena couldn't help but smile. Her eyes dropped to see what he was holding within his grasp. This chalice was black—no design, just black.
"You're not going to offer me some?" I teased him while pointing to the chalice.
The young man looked down at his cup and took a sip before slowly walking over to her.
"You'd take a drink from someone you don't know?" he asked while walking around her.
"Everyone else is because of this gathering for me," she sighed.
"So, Ms. Morningstar, do you want to drink from my Chalice?" he asked. "You don't even know my name."
"Tell me your name then," she demanded.
The young man stopped before her, looking deep into her eyes. "You can call me Kage."
"DKage," she repeated.
He nodded before pouring the last of the liquid into his mouth.
"Hey, I thought you-"
Before she could finish her thought, Kage seized the back of her head and pressed his lips to hers, spilling the thick liquid inside. It felt like electricity was pumping through her veins, and her heart quickened in excitement. Lowena's eyes widened in shock, uncertain how to respond to such an intrusion. She didn't know what was happening inside her, but she wasn't afraid.
"Get your hands off of her," Cade growled.
Cade seized Lowena's wrist, pulling her away from Derrick, "You know better, dead man." "Lowena asked for a drink," Derrick chuckled, "I couldn't tell the girl no." Cade growls like a wolf, baring his teeth like one. "Now, boys," Eli interrupted, "Let's not disturb this lovely night." Cade looked at Lowena, his hand still firmly on her wrist, "Come drink with your kind." Before Lowena could respond, Cade adjusted his hand so both their fingers interlocked and pulled her to a bonfire far from Derrick. Cade's grip wasn't as tender and gentle as before; now, it was firm and dominant. Lowena felt she had no choice but to follow. "Why did you call him a dead man?" Lowena questioned. "Lowena!" Cade sighed frustratedly, passionately grabbing Lowena before looking back down at her. "You need to start believing in what you are." Cade started walking again with a frustrated growl. Lowena bit her lower lip as they approached Aiyana. Aiyana's eyes widened at the sight of their ha
"Lowena? Lowena?" Eli rolled Lowena on her back, exposing her red, flushed cheeks and damp chest spilling from her top. "Did he do something?" he asked. "No," she denied, "I just feel strange." Another silent tear fell down her cheek. She felt afraid, nervous, and excited all at once. She had never experienced so many uncontrollable emotions. "It'll stop; the pheromones are leaving," Eli hushed while caressing her clammy cheek. Instinct caused Lowena to lean into his touch, "Everything is on fire." Lowena sat up, eyes glossy, looking at Eli for comfort. "It'll stop," Eli said, pressing his forehead to hers, his hand still holding her cheek. "Just breathe, Lowena." "Mmm," she whimpered once more, the heat within her body overwhelming her. Lowena grabbed his hand from her cheek and moved it to her breasts. "They're on fire!" she cried and moved his hand lower, "And here." When his hand was near her vagina, he locked it into place, "Lowena, what are
"Good morning," Kieran greeted with a tray of food. It wasn't a good morning for Lowena, though. She wasn't burning up like last night, but her body was still physically frustrated. Something she felt she needed deep within her, something different, but she couldn't pinpoint what. She removed her bikini and put on one of Kieran's oversized shirts to sleep in. The summer heat wasn't helping calm her nerves either. "Why are you bringing me food?" Lowena defiantly folded her arms across her chest. Kieran ran his free hand through his hair before placing the tray on the bed. "Eli wanted me to apologize." "Apologize for what?" she sneered. Kieran approached her, causing her cheeks to blush and look away from his dominating gaze. She remained still on the bed. "You know what." His voice was deep and seductive, making it more difficult for Lowena. "Or do I need to remind you?" She bit her lower lip, still unable to look him in the eye as he slowly moved his hand betwee
When Eli left, Aiyana entered Lowena's room and ran to her. "Are you okay?' she asked. Lowena was trembling, terrified, "W-w-werwolf?" Aiyana knelt in front of the traumatized Lowena; the look of shock on her face said it all. "Did you think it was a lie? You saw all different beings yesterday." "I thought I was hallucinating from something in the drinks," Lowena mumbled. "Are you okay? Your neck?! What happened?!" Aiyana rushed, grabbing the first aid from Kieran's nightstand and helping Lowena clean herself up. "He bit me," Lowena winced from the pain. Aiyana froze, "What?" "Eli bit me," Lowena repeated. Aiyana eased back, "Lowena, do you know what this means?" Lowena shook her head in confusion. "You don't know anything," Aiyana huffed while cleaning Lowena's wound. "He marked you as his own." Lowena walked back with Caspian, the rain easing til the sun came out to play. "It's amazing how you can do that," she admired. "It is mother nature; us fairies are bound to her in one way or another. Many are known to you as mythical creatures, such as the phoenix, griffins, and sirens. You may have seen them at the celebration last night," he explained. Lowena's cheeks blushed, and she confirmed, "There were these two women I first met; they looked almost like bats." "Those are the vampires. They have the most allure to them; they are the most predatorial. Their beauty enchants you, draws you in under their spell, and makes killing easy. They release a venom, similar to snakes than bats, that relaxes the prey, a euphoric opium if you will. "Wow," she hushed, "And the girls in the bird-like costumes? The ones that had scales?" Lowena stomped down the stairs, out the double doors, and into the celebration. At this point, she didn't want anything to do with either of them. Now wasn't the time for her to act rationally; it was time she stepped out of her shell. The loud drums echoed in her mind as she approached one of the bonfires. The heat from the flames wasn't scorching but relaxing, controlled even. "There you are," a seductive young woman whispered in Lowena's ear. Lowena turned, eyes widening in surprise to see the two women she had danced with the previous night before her once more, offering the bat chalice. She gladly accepted, drinking a mouthful of the thick copper liquid. It warmed every inch as it crept down her stomach. Lowena licked her lips, hungry, before looking back at both the girls. "What are your names?" Lowena asked. "Celeste," the shorter woman introduced. "Lucinda," the taller, slender one greeted. "I'm Lowena." The girls didn't respond but drank from the chalic
"I'll take you back," Kage offered. "Why don't I, since you brought her out here in the first place?" Caspian reasoned. "Why don't you both walk back with me?" Lowena suggested. Kage and Caspian scoffed, refusing to answer. Instead, they folded their arms over their chests, acting like sad schoolboys. "Fine, you stay here; I'll walk back alone," Lowena sighed over their antics. Kage and Caspian shook their heads, pacing between each other and watching Lowena walk away. At the same time, they both rushed after her, escorting her back to the party. After an awkward, short walk, they were all surrounded by happily drunk people. Ethica boldly approached the three of them, firmly holding her chalice. Lowena's cheeks blushed red, remembering the kiss they shared the night before. "Lowena, there you are," Ethica greete. "King, Caspian, King Kage." Both dropped their jaws in awe as if in the presence of royalty of an even higher status than their own. Ethica took advant
Caspian went down between Lowena's splayed legs and licked her most intimate area. Lowena's hands grabbed at the sheet, slicing and tearing into it with her werewolf strength. Wherever his tongue went, she couldn't help but match his rhythm. Her body wanted him, ached for him. She had never felt such desires before. Caspian sneakily slid his fingers inside her tight body, her legs wrapped around his neck. He placed his other hand upon her abdomen in the hope of easing the heat within her. Absorbing it wouldn't be the best idea, but she needed to remain a virgin until her birthday. The way her insides wrapped around his fingers made his erection grow; slowly, he felt the tension in her body ease. "Fuck!" Lowena moaned.
