Christabel was glad he was making an effort. Any woman would feel the same way. But there was a part of her that got jealous.
Because she knew that at one point, Arlan was also showing effort towards other women, especially Mary.
Stop thinking silly stuff. Christabel chastised herself. There was no point thinking about the past. At that moment, they were together, and Arlan loved her more than anyone else.
With that in mind, it did not take long for the negative thoughts to be pushed back inside her head. She focused her attention now on Arlan.
