Chapter Three

Emma and I had been best friends for as long as I could remember. We were treated as sisters by everyone and practically lived in each other's houses. She was raised by her uncle as her parents had died in a pack war shortly after she was born. We had spent the majority of our lives together, as my parents treated her like their own child.

We stepped outside the house and turned to the road leading to the pack house. There were fewer people on the street as many people had already headed to the pack house. I had a lot of things I wanted to tell Emma. I wanted to tell her about Bri, but I had already promised not to say anything about it. Emma had been able to shift into her wolf since she turned 18 but had never mentioned anything about talking to her wolf. Why was mine different?

You will find out soon. The voice in my head said. Oh shit, I had completely forgotten again that bri could hear my thoughts.

"Are you okay?" Emma asked, looking at me with a worried expression on her face.

"I am fine. I was just….." daydreaming, bri said

"Daydreaming" I added

"About your mate?" She laughed

"I have just been thinking about it lately, what if our mates are from different packs, and we would have to live apart?", I asked, searching her face.

"Then I would pack my bags and come live with you". She said laughing. I could see the laughter on her face replaced by worry as she thought about what I said.

Emma was always the one who fantasized about romantic mates and the perfect prince charming. I shuddered at the thought of both of us finding mates in different packs and having to leave far away from each other.

As we approached the corner of the pack house, my mouth hung open as we reached the pack house. Usually scanty with one or two people in the clearing, it was now filled as there were a lot of people who were either gisting or had found their mates. I looked around for my father but I couldn't find him. I figured out that they might be busy with the arrangements. 

All packs were reverse harem packs. I could see different groups of mates around as everyone chatted and socialized. Wait, what if I was mated to two males? We will find out, bri said as I tried to wrap my head around what she meant.

I looked around the crowd of young men and women that filled the square hoping to find a familiar figure of my mate but there were a lot of people. Maybe I am not supposed to find my mate today, I thought.

Glancing around the crowd again, my eyes landed on two towering figures with their backs towards us, I could recognize them anywhere as I had always seen them on occasions like this, though I had never spoken to them before, one was Kian the Alpha of Solar pack while the other was Ezra, the Alpha of Eclipse pack, as I wondered why I had suddenly taken interest in them. They turned. I froze as my eye met theirs

Mate

My breath stilled in my chest. Suddenly, the world stopped on its axis. What? How? 

I felt my jaw drop open. Oh my God. We are all mates. 

I could feel a tinge of excitement inside me as Bri purred happily. What was she so excited about? I was still trying to digest the information.  As they walked up to me, I got a closer look at them.

Ezra was tanned skin with a thicker build, taller than the other by a few inches, and made of pure muscle. His red eyes stand out against his complexion and his coal hair is a shaggy mess.

Kian looked more like a Greek god. His light skin complimented his ice-blue eyes which sparkled when he smiled. He had a perfect body that looked like he spent hours working out. They were so perfect that I could imagine him without clothes on. snap it, Mia. oh my God, was I drooling.

Hey there, gorgeous, no reason to drool. We are you, Kian said flirtatiously, his lips pulled into a wide grin as I tried to hide the embarrassment on my face as I had been caught checking them out. 

That's enough, Kian. The tall, red eyes Alpha scolded him, a frown taking over his luscious lips before he stopped and peered into my face. His hands are inches away from mine. I am practically on fire from the attention he gives me. Stupid mate bond!

"Is our mate not the prettiest out here", said Kian as he takes my hand and gives me a reassuring smile that makes me want to spend the rest of my life in his arms. Ezra doesn't say anything as he walks behind us. I look around for Emma, but I can't find her anywhere. I figured out that I must have left her when I found my mates. 

I took another glance at my mates. Kian seemed like a happy being who had no worries as he flashed a smile to everyone who walked past him. And Ezra just kept a straight face while observing everything around him. He caught me looking at him as I looked away. 

"What's your name?" "Mia" I answered, not looking up at him. Kian chuckled and said, "I am Kian Alpha and solar pack and he is Ezra, Alpha of Eclipse pack". Ezra didn't look pleased that Kian helped him introduce himself but he didn't say a word. "I know", I said as they both looked at me. Had they expected me not to know them? They were fucking Alphas. 

As we approached the pack house, I had an odd feeling. I could feel bri getting tensed up too in my head. I looked up toward the main entrance of the pack house and my eyes landed on a figure. As he turned to face us, I felt a familiar feeling. I glanced over to see  Ezra and Kian staring at him with a familiar intensity. Very familiar. I felt my heart stop again. We had another mate.

I had three fucking mates!!!
