Many years ago, the human population was only sixty percent of the world's population. The remaining percentage consisted of werewolves and fairies. However, the fairies eventually disappeared, and it was believed that God punished them for their wickedness. But one fairy managed to survive and she became the second most powerful creature in the world, second to the righteous pack protector, and above him was the heavenly creators who lived in the heavenly realm.

Werewolves coexist with humans and are divided into two groups: the werewolves from the demon pack and those from the righteous pack. Each pack has its own powerful protector. Avaria, the powerful and wicked black fairy, served as the protector of the demon pack. She is the last surviving member of the black fairy clan. Lance, a half-werewolf and half-immortal, serves as the powerful protector of the righteous pack.

Due to their physical weakness, humans were targeted by Avaria and the werewolves from the demon pack, who wished to turn humans into their own kind. However, the werewolves from the righteous pack oppose this, as they believe it would disrupt the balance of nature. The two groups of werewolves engage in a battle with the help of their pack protectors. But Avaria can't defeat Lance and becomes obsessed with him. But her obsession turned into love and admiration. So she asks Lance to marry her in exchange for the peace of each pack and humans.

Lance accepted Avaria's condition and promised to marry her, but he was only pretending to love her. On their wedding day, Lance stabbed Avaria in the chest using a soul dagger, the only weapon capable of killing a powerful black fairy like her.

"How could you do this to me, Lance? You deceived me into marrying you and making me lower my guard so that you could kill me," Avaria exclaimed, clutching her blood-soaked chest.

"It's impossible for someone like me from the righteous pack to fall in love with a wicked black fairy from the demon pack," Lance cruelly replied. He then commanded the werewolves from the righteous pack to eliminate all the werewolves from the demon pack.

Avaria was deeply wounded, both emotionally and physically. She could do nothing as she witnessed her demon pack members being annihilated by the righteous pack. Avaria blamed herself for their helpless situation, acknowledging her own foolishness as the reason why her demon pack found themselves in that dire predicament. She fell in love with Lance and never suspected that he was plotting against her. She places the blame for their downfall solely on herself.

"I hate you, Lance! I promise that no matter how long it takes, I will return and avenge my demon pack members by killing you with my own hands!" Avaria curses Lance with her dying breath before closing her eyes.

However, before she dies, she manages to utilize the remaining power within her, and fueled by her deep-seated hatred for Lance, Avaria manages to seal her soul inside a wolf bead and escape. The wolf bead, seemingly possessing its own consciousness, selects a woman and enters her body to conceal and nurture Avaria's soul. Avaria's soul patiently waits, biding her time for the perfect time and the right person who will awaken her soul.

1000 years later, in the present day...

"Averei!! Open this goddamn door right now!"

Averei is jolted awake from her sleep upon hearing her father's loud voice and intense knocking on her door. Her father nearly breaks down the door in haste to enter her room.

She immediately rises from her bed and makes her way to the door before her father completely destroys it. Still groggy from a night of clubbing with her best friend Anton and other companions, Averie opens the door.

"What's going on, Dad? Why are you—"

.

Before Averie can finish her sentence, her father greets her with a forceful slap as soon as she opens the door.

"What the hell do you think you're doing with your life, Averie?! Do you want to be the subject of ridicule? Do you want to embarrass that much so you engage in such disgraceful behavior?" Arturo, Averie's father, is seething with rage towards his only daughter. He woke up early just to see a video on his phone of her daughter in an intimate activity with a man he didn't know in a restroom. The video was sent anonymously through a dummy account, leaving him clueless as to the identity of the sender.

"What on earth are you talking about, Dad? I don't understand you," Averie responds, perplexed. She lightly touches her cheek where her father's hand had landed.

"Don't pretend to be innocent, Averie. I know you understand what I'm talking about." Arturo shows his daughter the video on his phone, displaying footage of her engaging in sexual activity with a man in a dirty restroom.

.

As Averie watches the video, anger rises within her towards her father. He had slapped her without even verifying the authenticity of the video. "You slapped me because of this ridiculous video, Dad? You didn't even bother to ask me if it's real or edited?"

"That video is real, Averie. One of my acquaintances called me this morning and informed me that her daughter witnessed you having intercourse with that man in the video inside the restroom while someone recorded it," Corazon, Averie's stepmother, spoke suddenly. "Your father spoiled you too much that has led you down this path."

"Is that so? Were you there, watching me having intercourse with that man in the video?" Averie glares sharply at her stepmother.

"If I'm not mistaken, you're the one who sent this manipulated video to my dad, Corazon, just to make him angry with me. Am I right?" Averie accuses her stepmother.

Corazon begins to feign tears and play the victim in front of Averie's father. However, Averie can see through her stepmother's act and knows that the tears are insincere.

"I take responsibility for how you turned out, Averie. So starting now, I will rectify all your mistakes. Tomorrow, you will go to your mother's hometown and stay there while I clean up your mess," Arturo declares with a resolute tone.

"But I am not the girl in that video, Dad. Why won't you believe me?" Averie persists. Regardless of her efforts, in her father's eyes, she remains a spoiled troublemaker.

"My decision is final, Averie. Pack your belongings and leave the house tomorrow. Don't return until I allow you to come back. Do you understand?"

Averie doesn't respond to her father's words. Instead, she immediately closes the door and Chi remains adamant and refuses to open the door, despite her father's pleas. Slowly, she made her way back to her bed, tears streaming down her face. Averie recalled how her father had showered her with love, but everything changed after he married her stepmother and brought her and her daughter into their home.

Clinging to her pillow, Averie continued to cry, overwhelmed by the feeling of being an unwanted presence in their household. It seemed like her father wanted to drive her away.

Eventually, Averie composed herself and decided to leave. She packed her belongings and booked a plane ticket to Tacloban, her mother's hometown in the province. She didn't say goodbye to her father, feeling betrayed by his sudden change of heart. If he wanted her to stay away, she would oblige. It was better to seek solace in the familiarity of their old house than to endure the company of the people she despised the most.

After an hour-long plane journey, Averie arrived at Romualdez Airport in Tacloban City, Leyte. She patiently waited for Marvin, the son of Ernest, the caretaker of their ancestral house, to pick her up from the airport.

"Welcome to Tacloban, Averie!" Marvin greeted her cheerfully, his smile stretching across his face. Despite not having a close relationship with him, Averie simply nodded in acknowledgment.

"Let me take the car, Marvin. You can go home by public transportation," she said abruptly, reaching out to snatch the car keys from his hand. Averie wasted no time and hopped into the car.

Having visited her mother's hometown regularly, Averie was familiar with the route to Abuyog. It was just a one-hour drive from the airport to their house. However, if she were to commute, it would take almost two hours to reach Abuyog in Leyte.

Averie was just five minutes away from their old house when, unexpectedly, a truck emerged from a blind corner. It was as if the truck driver had intentionally waited for her to pass by before colliding with her car.

In shock and taken by surprise, Averie was unable to react in time to avoid the collision. The sound of the impact echoed through the quiet place of Terraza Village.

As the collision occurred, Averie witnessed the windshield shattering into countless pieces. A wave of horror washed over her face and her head forcefully struck the steering wheel. Overwhelmed by the impact, she immediately lost consciousness.

Averie fainted so she didn't feel strong energy coming out from her body and protected her not to getting hit and hurt by the broken pieces of the windshield. She didn't feel that energy but not the other people in that place. People who are not ordinary. They could feel the energy that they have been waiting for so long to appear after a thousand years.
