Damon. “Aria!” I yelled, I was standing at the top of the hill when I saw her, going around would take a while before I got to her, and I didn’t want that. I had seen the wolf attacking her, Peterson held me back when he knew what I intended to do. “I will be fine.” I told him and took his hand away from me, I gripped tight to the torchlight I held. “I will meet you at the other side, Alpha. I have to check around the woods if there are others, or something lurking around.” “Do that.” I nodded at Peterson, and without a second thought, I jumped down from the hill, perfectly landing on my feet. A lowly grumble came out of my chest, and I made my way down to them, the black wolf was on her body. “Aria!” I pushed the wolf off her body, and he rolled over to the side away from her, there was a stick on his chest, and his eyes were wide open. I gathered Aria in my arms. Her breathing was heavy, and her eyes were flickering. “Stay awake, Aria.” I whispered, and shook her. There was
Soren. I held Aria’s hand beside the bed while whispering and staring at her sleepy face. We had gone out of the room after a maid came in, dressed her and attended to her wounds. The jacket I had given her was stained with blood as well and I watched the maid take out the jacket and the clothes she wore, and dump them in the trash while I waited outside for her. When she was done, I went into the room, Damon left. I was alone with her, and I saw her diary open on top of her table. I let go of her hand, closed the diary, and dropped it inside her drawers. Then I went back to the bed, sat beside her, held her hand and prayed that she would be fine. There was a bandage on her head, and at the side of her ribs, and even her shoulders. “I’m sorry, Aria.” I muttered, and stroked her face with my fingers. I knew it was late, and past midnight now, and I should’ve been at the pack by now else I would get in trouble with Alpha Rowan but I didn’t want to leave Aria this way. I blamed m
Damon. I was outside her door, I heard her voice, she was muttering in her sleep. I couldn’t take another step from where I stood because he was there with her, Soren was in the room with her. He had promised to stay with her, I dragged a step back, I stared at my hands, it was stained with blood, I hid them behind me and hurried into my room along the hallway and slammed the door shut behind me. I went directly into the bathroom, and stripped the clothes off my body and turned on the showers. I watched as the blood washed down off my body, and my hand but didn’t wash the fact that I did something to the maid that attended to her. I gave her instructions on what to do and I didn’t trust her to let her go just like that, rumors could spread around the pack, and Soren didn’t know either what happened to her, and that her wound had covered up. I stayed for over twenty minutes under the shower, before I left the bathroom, and then I dressed up but I wasn’t getting dressed to sleep.
Damon. Someone touched me and shook me lightly, whispering my name, and I woke up with a startle. My heart started to pound so fast, as if it was about to jump right out of my chest. “Alpha.” The voice called, I glanced my hand tightly on my chest, and I was going to fall whatever I was sitting on, but the strong arm held me and forced me back on the seat. “Open your eyes, Alpha. I will get your drugs, get a grip of yourself please.” He said, and I forced my red eyes open, my heart hitting against my chest so hard. I glanced around where I was quickly, and it was the study room. Peterson was squatted, and was looking around for something. “Is everything okay?” Someone asked outside the door. “Yes, give me a minute, the study is a bit messed up.” Peterson replied because I couldn’t speak, and was struggling to calm my heart, and control my breathing. “I can’t see it, Alpha.” Peterson muttered, and stared at me. “Try and follow my breathing. In and out.” He stood in front of me,
Aria. I woke up with a splitting headache, and my eyes went around the place I was, I was lying on something soft and comfortable and then my eyes caught the chandelier hanging on the ceiling. I wanted to pull my hand away but then I noticed that someone was beside me, his head was down and he held my hand. I adjusted myself properly with a slight groan, and I touched his silky hair with my other hand, and wondered how I was able to get home and what happened afterward. I knew who was beside me because I was able to recognize him through his scent, why did he come back? I thought he had gone back to the pack, did he come back because of me. He lifted his head, and I took my hand away from his hair. “Aria, you are awake.” His hand went over my hair, and he let go of our hand, I was left with a strange emptiness when his hand let go of mine. I smiled at him, and tried to sit up but he held me down, and made me lay down back on the bed. “Don’t try to get up yet.” He warned, and r
Soren. I wasn’t able to sneak back into the pack as I do, my hideout was found out, and Kade was there standing with two of the warriors, his hands were on his hips and he had a hard look on. “You kept me waiting.” He said when he saw me. “…where have you been sneaking off too, running around corners with the borders like your playground and doing whatever you like isn’t it?” He asked and I stood before him.“You weren’t in the pack last night, where were you?”“You are not going to have me locked up are you, Kade?” “I only work according to the order of the Alpha, and if he wants you to be locked up, I would have to do just that and I don’t think you will be able to avoid that.” He said flatly, and gestured to the two soldiers beside him. “Take him.” “You don’t even know what happened and why I stayed out that late?” I asked as the soldiers grabbed my hands and forced behind me, and I felt a handcuff around my wrist, then they pushed me forward. “Am I not a criminal, Kade, why w
Aria. It’s been three days since the incident at the Pack, the mansion has been quiet and every time I see Peterson, I asked him if he had heard from Soren, and the answer I get every time from him was negative. And I didn’t know I would be able to reach him either, he told me not to worry about Soren, that no news means good news, and I wanted to believe it or rather hold onto that for a while. “…You are making Alpha Damon worry about you. I thought you could take care of yourself, don’t disturb yourself with him.” Peterson had told me, I wanted to challenge him, but arguing with him wasn’t going to prove anything. “I don’t control what your Alpha feels.” “You do. He wasn’t this unstable until you came to the pack, and you don’t want to know whose fault it was…” “I was attacked.” “We are working on that.” He responded, and walked away from me. That was the only time I heard from him, and every time he was in the mansion, I didn’t want to have any conversation with him. I di
Damon. Her lips against mine were soft, and I pulled her closer with my hand at the back of her head and when she leaned in, she gave me access to kiss her. I was gentle, I didn’t want to take a rush, and didn’t want to make her feel pressured but she asked me to make her feel that I needed her here, and I wanted her to feel through the kiss, just how much she torments me more than anything else. I wanted to disengage from kissing her but the more her lips tasted more desirable, and I was getting a bit more passionate and fierce and she opened her mouth, and kissed me back. A strangled sound came out from the back of my throat, and I knew I had to push her away from me. I broke off the kiss, but her forehead was still pressed against mine, then I let go of her. My hand dropped to my sides and I took a step back from her. I cleared my throat, “I will send the maid to bring you some food.” I didn’t want to hear what she had to say, so I turned away from her, and headed straight o
Author’s Pov. The fight was fierce, and there was a lot of blood, the moon didn’t come out as they thought it would. It was rather a dark moment in the pack, as it was covered with blood. Aria didn’t want them to kill either of them but wanted them to face judgement instead, they were defeated and then captured. Rowan thought that he stood a chance against Aria and Damon but he wasn’t able to get past just Aria. They were made to face the council, and Aria charged the other Alphas who came with Rowan for conspiracy. He denied that everything played out was a lie even when they attacked the pack. Abby had come in, he was surprised to see her, she came in with the help of Kade who held her since she couldn’t quite manage on her own. She started to bring evidence of what Alpha Rowan had done to her, her parents were in the courthouse as well, they came and brought evidence against Rowan. He couldn’t speak anymore or could defend himself for what he had done. Aria came up and re
Aria. The night was dark, there wasn’t even a moon in sight, I had felt, that something was coming, and we were getting prepared. The pack had been busy and everyone seemed to be preoccupied with one thing or the other, we hadn’t had a chance to discuss with each other and we had all been busy. “…I think they are coming this way,” Liam said as he met with me at the balcony, we were all gathered at the pack house but at different places at the moment. “They couldn’t wait.” “Knowing Rowan, that’s how he acts, and he does that fast because that’s how he thinks as well.” “So he’s coming here thinking that we aren’t prepared for him or what?” “He could think that way, that he’s about to launch an attack on our pack, and get all of us in one go, that’s probably what he’s planning.” “Then he must be stupid thinking we are just going to wait for him to attack and not do anything about it.” I tapped my hand on the railings and we stared ahead into the night. “Why did you leave Rowan?”
Rowan. “…isn’t it about time you take the mask off your face?” I asked with a groan and walked over to my desk, I sat down and took the bandage off my shoulder. The wound that I had sustained was very deep, and it took time for it to heal completely, but still, it left a scar on my shoulder. “I’ve to get Aria back. I didn’t hear from Denon and that only means that she must’ve been awake. That’s the reason he didn’t come back to find me, else he would have done that.” I tossed the bandage on the ground and exhaled. He blinked his eyes at me and wasn’t saying much, I frowned at the reaction that I got from him. “I thought we were in this together.” “You never told me about your plan to get married to her.” He said. “Well, it didn’t quite work out, did it?” “You should’ve told me about it, but you didn’t.” “You are hiding something from me too ain’t you?” I raised my brow at him. “Why don’t you take off your mask and then we can know if it’s worth it to trust each other.” He ch
Aria. The Alpha of the Crimson Pack knew who I was, and he didn’t hesitate to allow me into his pack, the second that I arrived there with Damon. He was the one who saved me that night, that’s what he told me. We followed him into the Pack, and his office, his pack wasn’t as big as Damon’s Pack, and his pack members were minimal, I wondered how someone like him could hold that power when he wasn’t even equal to most of the strongest and powerful packs in the country. “…I wasn’t the one who had bound your powers.” He said, and I raised my brows at him. “Then who did?” “Have a seat.” He gestured to Alpha Damon and me. “It was your mother.” He replied, and I blinked my eyes at him. “My mother did that?” “Yes, she did it at the very last minute, and had your powers bound, she wanted to protect you from him.” “You sounded like you knew my mother.” “I did. She grew up in our pack,” “When her pack was under attack, she requested help, but it came late, and when we got there the pa
Aria. I stared at Damon after she had shamelessly left the house, he was quiet, and we were all seated in the living room. “…we went to bury him today,” Kade said he was the one who broke the prolonged silence. I took my gaze away from Damon and stared at him. “You should have woken me up,” I muttered. “We didn’t want to bother you, and knowing how you feel about Peterson. We thought it was better to leave you out of it and tell you after, it wasn’t nice there, the one you saw here was worse than what happened there. His family was so tucked up.” Kade sighed. “I never liked him but, I could tell he had a lot held in him, and must’ve been through so much. Seeing the family he came from, I kind of pity him a little bit, they didn’t care about him or even choose to respect him on his last day.” Kade clicked his tongue. “…all they did was blame the Alpha for what happened.” Damon excused himself from our midst and took the stairs to his bedroom. I wanted to go after him but Soren sh
Aria. Damon had my bathroom prepared and made me get into the bathroom, he carried me down to the bathroom and placed me on the bathtub, he washed my hair gently, I could feel his tender fingers on my scalp and didn’t want him to stop. I bathed and left the bathroom with him, and he chose the clothes that he wanted me to wear before I could rest for the night. Next, he served me breakfast, and after I was done eating, he lay next to me on the bed and watched me. His fingers stroked my hair affectionately. “I had my hopes up…” His voice came up, and I leaned closer to him. “I thought I might not be the one that will end up as your mate and even if it wasn’t me, I was going to do what I had to, but I did hope that I ended up being your mate. Aria.” He confessed and I touched the bridge of his nose with a smile on my face. “My wolf chose you.”“What about you? Did you choose me?” “I did. We both did, Damon.” My hand moved down to his chest and he heaved a sigh of relief. He pulle
Aria. I didn’t say another word before he took me into his arms, he squeezed me against his body, holding me so tight as if I would disappear if he let me go and he didn’t want that. When he pulled away, he cupped my face in his hand, staring intently into my eyes, and slowly his gaze fell on my lips, and I kissed it.I didn’t wait for him to take any initiative, I took it, my hand wrapped around his neck, and he kissed back passionately. My wolf wanted more, and she didn’t seem to be satisfied with just kissing him, she wanted more at this rate, taking all of him, wanting to mate with him and have him claim us as his mate. We wanted our scent to be mixed with his, which would make us off limits, and everyone would know that I was his mate. He pulled away from the kiss and grazed his finger on my lips. He smiled at me, and we pulled away from each other. I had forgotten that they were in the room with me, when I turned, the bedroom was empty, and I didn’t know when they left the
Aria. I could feel my wolf, I felt her, it felt like the first time in forever, and she purred inside me. My wolf. I exhaled, and glanced around the room, staring at the strange face that had poked her face into me. She grinned and waved her hand at me. “I’ve lost some strength, hope you don’t mind if I rest up a little.” Her dark eyes were sparkling, and she didn’t smell like a wolf. “I’m not a wolf.” “Did you read my thoughts?” “Kind of.” And smirked. I glanced around and found six pairs of eyes staring down at me with concern. “She needs some time to rest.” The girl said to them, and she moved away from the bed, giving me some space. Kade sat at my right-hand side, Soren was on the left beside me and Liam stood. I reached out my hand to Kade’s face and touched it, he smiled at me and kissed my hand. I touched Soren as well, and he gave me a soft smile. “Thank you for coming back to us, Aria,” Soren muttered, his eyes glistening with tears. This was the man that they sai
Damon. We got to the Pack just like she said we would, and we used the portal that she opened. I ordered the rest of the soldiers that were in the Silverwolf Pack to retreat, and bring the chopper home. The portal opened in the bedroom of Aria, she was still on the bed, and Soren’s head was on the bed, he was resting. He lifted his head when he heard some sounds and was shocked to find us in the room with a strange-looking lady who didn’t have shoes on. She waved at Soren, and the portal closed up. She made her way down to the bed, and we followed closely. “Alpha Damon.” Soren stared at us. “We brought a witch.” Liam replied, “…she’s here to help Aria, and there’s a chance that she will survive it.” “I heard witches were hard to find and compile with, and how were you able to get one.” “We had no choice, and waited for her to come to us.” Liam sighed and walked to take a seat. “Glad, she wasn’t as harsh as I thought.” “You thought witches are harsh?” She smirked at Liam. “Ai
