SIXTY ONE

A hug that could last a lifetime – she wished for such. One that embodied pure comfort, sheer warmth, and perhaps love.

Raven couldn't remember the last time she experienced something like that. Sure, her parents, before they died during the war some years back, were the best things she knew existed. To her, they and her mother were her world.

Funny enough, Raven could recall telling her brother, Chris how he and their parents meant the world to her only to get a response with;

‘Meaning you have three worlds, sis?’

It was ridiculous, but it happened when they were young – when she was happy. Those times, her smiles were sheerly genuine.

But after that war broke out, she lost two of her worlds and left with one she tried, but failed to protect. The more Raven's mind leaped into her pool of memories, tears welled in her eyes and fell unceasingly down her cheeks.

That day, she didn't mean to cry – no; Raven was feeling somewhat gleeful.
