Chapter 5 Consumed by the Beast

I heard footsteps drawing nearer, the sound echoing off the cold stone walls. My heart raced with dread, wondering who could be coming to visit me in this forsaken place.

The whisper in the darkness had given me a glimmer of hope, but I couldn't shake off the feeling of uncertainty.

As the footsteps stopped outside my cell, I held my breath, waiting for the door to creak open. The key turned in the lock, and the door groaned as it swung open. Three strong guards stood in the doorway, their faces stern and unyielding.

"Time to come out, slave," one of them barked, their voice like a snarl.

I winced as they dragged me out into the blinding sunlight. My eyes watered, but the horrifying growls I heard in the palace made my stomach turn.

The savage loud growls sent chills down my spine, and I knew I was in for a brutal fate. It was Prince Romain again, his beast had been unleashed, waiting to be fed.

"Where are you taking me?" I demanded, trying to sound brave despite my trembling voice.

"You'll find out soon enough, thief," one of them sneered, his grip on my arm tightening like a vice.

I struggled against their hold, but they were too strong. They dragged me through the palace corridors, Fear gripped my heart like a vice, suffocating me.

My mind raced with thoughts of escape, but my body felt heavy as if rooted to the spot. I was trapped, with no way out. The guards' grip on my arms tightened, their fingers digging deep into my skin like claws.

As they dragged me through the palace corridors, I caught glimpses of Sophia, her face twisted in a cruel grin.

Sophia's eyes gleamed with a sadistic pleasure as she watched me struggle. I felt like a helpless animal, being dragged to my doom.

I knew exactly where they were taking me - to Romain's lair.

The guards threw me into the dark, dank room, and I landed hard on the cold floor. The door clanged shut behind me, and I heard the sound of keys turning in the lock.

I scrambled to my feet, my heart racing with fear, as Romain, the dark prince, loomed before me. His massive form strained against the chains binding him to the wall, his beastly eyes fixed on me with a ferocious glare. The growls erupting from his throat echoed off the stone walls, making my skin crawl.

I tried to back away, but my feet felt heavy as if rooted to the spot. The guards had abandoned me, leaving me at the mercy of this monstrous creature. Romain's chains rattled and clanked as he thrashed against them, his eyes burning with a fierce intensity that made my blood run cold.

I tried to scream, but my voice was trapped in my throat, silenced by terror. Romain's growls grew louder, more menacing, and I knew I was running out of time. His hot breath washed over me, making my skin prickle with fear, and I felt his gaze like a physical touch, making me shudder.

The chains creaked and groaned, straining against the beast's fury. I knew it was only a matter of time before Romain broke free, and I was consumed by the horror that loomed before me. The Moon Goddess seemed to have abandoned me, leaving me to face this terror alone.

Romain's growls reached a deafening crescendo, and the chains started snapping, one by one, like brittle twigs. I trembled, paralyzed with fear, as the beast's fury intensified. The air was heavy with the stench of sweat and rage, and I knew I was on the brink of a gruesome fate...

The Beast pounced on me with lightning speed, its massive body hurtling through the air like a furry projectile. Its chains snapped and clattered to the ground, freed from their constraints.

I stood there, paralyzed with fear, as Romain's enormous paws swiped me aside like a rag doll, sending me crashing to the ground. The impact knocked the wind out of me, leaving me gasping for breath.

The Beast's hot breath washed over me, its teeth bared and ready to strike. Its claws dug into my shoulders, pinning me down with a grip like a vice.

I didn't struggle or squirm, too terrified to move. The Beast's eyes blazed with a fierce intensity, its gaze burning into my soul like a branding iron.

I screamed, but my voice was drowned out by the Beast's deafening roar, a sound that shook the very foundations of the room. Its jaws opened wide, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth, ready to deliver the final blow.

I closed my eyes, waiting for the end, but it never came. Instead, the Beast's grip on my shoulders tightened, its claws digging deeper into my skin.

I opened my eyes to find the Beast's face inches from mine, its eyes blazing with a fierce hunger. Its hot breath washed over me, making my skin crawl. …

I was trapped, helpless, and at the mercy of this monstrous creature. No one was coming to save me from its wrath.

The Beast's face was inches from mine, its eyes blazing with a fierce hunger that seemed to pierce through my very soul.

I felt my vision blurring, my consciousness slipping away like sand between my fingers. The Beast's hot breath washed over me, making my skin crawl with terror. I tried to scream, but my voice was trapped in my throat, silenced by fear.

The last thing I heard was the Beast's deafening roar, a sound that shook the very foundations of my being. It was a sound that seemed to come from the depths of its very soul, a primal scream that echoed through the chambers of my mind. And then... nothing. The darkness consumed me, a void that seemed to swallow me whole.

I felt myself being pulled down, down, down into the abyss, a helpless victim of the Beast's unrelenting fury. My thoughts grew foggy, my senses dulled, and I was left with nothing but the echoes of my despair.

The Beast's roar faded into the distance, a distant memory that seemed to haunt me even in the depths of my unconsciousness. And then, there was only silence.

A silence that was both peaceful and terrifying, a silence that seemed to hold the very fabric of my existence in its grasp.
