Willow’s POV I was beginning to think that I had done something wrong. Alpha Chance hadn’t touched me in days since Alpha Shawn had gone missing and I was starting to believe that he was having second thoughts about me being his Luna now that I had taken Alpha Shawn as a mate too. Even after the doctor had cleared me at Crescent Moon, he had not touched me that night after dinner. Now standing here talking to him back at Red Moon, I knew it was time that I made the first move to see if he still wanted me. I let out a yelp as he picked me up and carried me to our room and I realized at that moment that he wanted me just as badly as I wanted him, but I couldn’t understand why he refrained from taking me. Once in our bedroom and the door was shut, Alpha Chance slammed his lips into mine, like he had been starving for days. I could finally feel his need for me through our bond and it was as strong as my own need for him. When I was on the brink of passing out from the lack of oxygen
Chance’s POV This morning when we left the packhouse, I made sure to show Willow some extra affection. For one I didn’t know how long we were going to be gone and two we may be going to come back into contact with the Moon Witch and after seeing how easy it was for her to take Alpha Hunter and Alpha Shawn, I was a little fearful that she might overpower me and that I might not come home from this. Willow had given me a few surges of her power last night and this morning when we made love. I honestly didn’t want to leave her in bed alone this morning but I knew I had to find Shawn. It was hard to leave her without one of us here to protect her but I knew that if the shoe was on the other foot, Shawn would die trying to save me. I just hope what powers Willow gave me is a boost to withstand the Moon Witch and take her down. The drive to Damon’s cabin went by quickly and so did the run we had to the mine entrance. This time Damon led the pack of Alphas since he knew the area better
Willow’s POV Izzy and I gave the men an hour head start before we left for the cabin. We wanted to make sure that they all headed to the mines and were all gone from the cabin when we arrived. Izzy seemed excited about getting to see the cabin and the land that Damon owns and I was sure it was because Damon probably told her all about it. It wasn’t hard for the two of us to sneak off the pack lands. Kyle was still busy with the cleanup and most of the other wolves in the pack were too. He had not learned to dual task yet like Alpha Shawn had when he was the Beta. My heart began to ache at that moment when Shawn came to my mind and I prayed to the Moon Goddess that the Alphas find him today. He had only been gone for a few days but the days without him felt like an eternity. Thankfully, I was able to recall the way to the cabin and when we pulled up the lane the pack’s SUVs were parked in front of it, but thankfully the Alphas were all gone by the time that we arrived. Izzy was t
Chance’s POV As soon as the Moon Witch’s eyes locked onto Alpha Hunter, I began to slowly make my way to Shawn in the shadows of the outer rim of the cavern with Alpha Reese following me. Damon and Alpha Conner stayed behind and I knew they had Alpha Hunter’s back. Alpha Conner was the only one of us Alphas that had magical powers to back Alpha Hunter if this became a magical power battle. Shawn’s head began to slowly lift and I knew he could sense my presence. I was only moments from getting to him. I took one last glance at Alpha Hunter who was now only about ten feet in front of the Moon Witch to make sure he had her full attention before I stepped out of the darkness and to Shawn. Once I was to Shawn, I could clearly see he was in bad shape and his hands and feet were bound with a material I was not familiar with and I wondered if it had been laced with magic. As soon as I touched the material, I knew it had been doused with wolfbane and knew why Shawn wasn’t able to move as
Willow’s POV I couldn’t believe that I had let my guard down and let myself be taken by Celeste, right in front of my mate. The look on Alpha Chance’s face as we disappeared right in front of me told me that he would come for me at any cost, but I worried about his safety and the rest of the packs. It was my own fault I was in this situation. I needed to find a way out of it, but by the look of the cell I was in, they were always planning on taking me. The cell was made of heavy steel that was not able to be bent by even my wolf and it was coated in wolfbane too. Then there was also a barrier of salt containing my witch side along with an invisible wall that I could feel major power coming from. This cell was definitely built to hold a Hybrid and I had to wonder what they wanted with a Hybrid, if Celeste was one herself. If Celeste was telling the truth she came from two powerful creatures and I was just a peon compared to her. My mother was just your typical witch and my father
Shawn’s POV It has been days now since the Alphas saved me and the Moon Witch took Willow. I was mad at the world and wished that they would have just left me there to die, if it meant that Willow was here at Red Moon safe. The wounds that I had suffered at the hand of the Moon Witch took me days to recover from and when I was finally released by the pack doctor, I took off in my wolf form and ran as far as I could, trying to ease the pain of not having Willow here beside me. But I realized that all the running in the world wasn’t going to stop the pain. The only thing that was going to stop it would be to bring Willow back to Red Moon safely. I could clearly see that the Alphas have been working night and day, trying to track the Moon Witch and even the Sun Witches, the Hybrids, and the Canyon Ridge Covenant was trying to help track her down. Izzy on the other hand was a complete mess. She was overwhelmed with joy that I was back but was sickened that Willow was taken. I think
Chance’s POV As I walked into the meeting room, I was glad that Shawn was by my side with what I was about to do. All eyes turned in my direction as I walked in and I knew it wasn’t because of me but because Shawn had finally joined us since we rescued him from the Moon Witch. “Alpha Shawn, it’s nice to see you joining us today.” Alpha Hunter says to Shawn, but I know once he hears what we have to say he won’t be thinking that. Shawn remains quiet and I move towards the table and say, “I need everyone’s full attention.” All the Alphas move around the table and I make sure to look for Alpha Conner in the room before I begin to talk. “Alpha Shawn and I just received a letter from our mate’s father. He is making demands if we want our mate back. These demands involve most of you at this table.” I say as I look around the table at all the Alphas that are present. “We don’t deal with demands.” Alpha Hunter says to me and I knew he was going to say that. Looking at him, I say, “
Willow’s POV Days, maybe even a week has passed, and I find myself going mad being in this cell alone. The only person who comes into the room is Celeste and I am thankful to her for bringing me food and water, but I honestly don’t know how much longer I can take being kept in here. My wolf side is itching to be free, but the invisible magical wall is preventing me from shifting and I feel like she is clawing me from the inside out. Thankfully, my father hasn’t returned and I haven’t had to listen to his harsh words, even though they have been haunting my dreams. It was a hard pill to swallow knowing how much he hated me now and it made me even more depressed, as I began to feel unwanted once again. The lack of my mates to confirm to me that I was wanted was beginning to also play a toll on me and I hadn’t realized that they were the reason that I was able to not feel so depressed in this world. The two of them not coming for me yet also made me wonder if they ever would and if
