Willow’s POV Izzy and I gave the men an hour head start before we left for the cabin. We wanted to make sure that they all headed to the mines and were all gone from the cabin when we arrived. Chance’s POV As soon as the Moon Witch’s eyes locked onto Alpha Hunter, I began to slowly make my way to Shawn in the shadows of the outer rim of the cavern with Alpha Reese following me. Damon and Alpha Conner stayed behind and I knew they had Alpha Hunter’s back. Willow’s POV I couldn’t believe that I had let my guard down and let myself be taken by Celeste, right in front of my mate. The look on Alpha Chance’s face as we disappeared right in front of me told me that he would come for me at any cost, but I worried about his safety and the rest of the packs. Shawn’s POV It has been days now since the Alphas saved me and the Moon Witch took Willow. I was mad at the world and wished that they would have just left me there to die, if it meant that Willow was here at Red Moon safe. The wounds that I had suffered at the hand of the Moon Witch took me days to recover from and when I was finally released by the pack doctor, I took off in my wolf form and ran as far as I could, trying to ease the pain of not having Willow here beside me. Chance’s POV As I walked into the meeting room, I was glad that Shawn was by my side with what I was about to do. All eyes turned in my direction as I walked in and I knew it wasn’t because of me but because Shawn had finally joined us since we rescued him from the Moon Witch. “Alpha Shawn, it’s nice to see you joining us today.” Alpha Hunter says to Shawn, but I know once he hears what we have to say he won’t be thinking that. Willow’s POV Days, maybe even a week has passed, and I find myself going mad being in this cell alone. The only person who comes into the room is Celeste and I am thankful to her for bringing me food and water, but I honestly don’t know how much longer I can take being kept in here. My wolf side is itching to be free, but the invisible magical wall is preventing me from shifting and I feel like she is clawing me from the inside out. Thankfully, my father hasn’t returned and I haven’t had to listen to his harsh words, even though they have been haunting my dreams. Willow’s POV I held Celeste’s hand as she maneuvered us down the dimly lit hallways that seemed more of a maze and I knew if it wasn’t for her I would have been lost in a matter of seconds. Trusting Celeste was a leap of faith and right now I had no other choice than to believe that she was now on my side. One thing I did know was that we were heading in the right direction as the howls became louder and I knew the wolves were here for me. Chance’s POV Word got to me that Willow had made it out of the tunnels, and I knew that Celeste was with her. I motion to Alpha Hunter that they were safe and that we could move forward with our plan. Our men then slowly started to retreat, and the second part of our plan went into action as Alpha Hunter motioned to his men to set the detonators. There was only one problem to this plan, and it was we hadn’t encountered the Moon Witch or Willow’s father since we raided the old mining headquarters. It made me wonder if they had already headed to Canyon Ridge with receiving my letter and I just hope that Alpha Conner and his men were prepared for them.
