TERRA'S POV:

THAT EVENING:

Heartbroken:

We were now at the reception where a bunch of business acquaintances were congratulating us, the newlyweds. I was rather silent, just grinning in response. I had met Ross' best friends since childhood and the two of them were hilarious, they had a few stories to share but Ross wouldn't allow them. He looked like he was tired of this wedding and he wanted to be over..I kind of felt the same.

"Congratulations, my favorite Nephew. I had no idea you were even seeing anyone after Nina." Ross, who was smiling after sharing a hug with the lady, frowned at the name, Nina. This was the first time I had seen him smiling, and he looked breathtaking.

This is my husband…wow…I thought to myself in amazement.

"I'm happy to see you Aunty." She rolled her eyes in a full circle at his simple response then diverted her attention towards me.

"Terra, right?" I nodded in response as she held onto my two hands, staring at me throughly. She looked at Ross through the corner of her eyes and he raised his hands up in surrender before leaving.

"You are a beautiful woman, gorgeous even." She complimented, using her thumb to caress my hand.

"Thank you ma, you are too." I said in response, keeping a smile on my face.

She just kept staring at me for a moment and I shifted uncomfortably.

"I really hope you indeed have a blissful marriage, you know? You seem like a gem and my sister over there might not see it right now and I hope it's not too late when she eventually does." Her face held hurt and she sighed deeply letting my hands go.

"Congratulations again." She said then left me standing there trying to process her words.

So I was right that Ross' mom did not like me? Will she hurt me or do something to me?

My head was hurting and I was beyond exhausted as it is tiring to go about greeting people and maintaining a smile on my face. Evelyn and her boyfriend had left a few minutes ago as her boyfriend had an emergency. I didn't hear what exactly Evelyn had said but I heard a family member might have been rushed to the hospital. I just hope whoever it is gets well.

I felt so alone in my wedding, from where I stood I saw Ross speaking to the lady who was next to his mother earlier. I debated whether to walk towards them or just mind my business. I decided the latter would be the best as I was nosey.

"Hi." I announced my presence standing next to Ross who I felt kind of short beside.

"Hi Terra, it's so lovely to meet you like actually see you up close. You looked like an angel." She gave me an overlook and gave me a small smile.

"Thank you. You're…" I asked, I heard Ross suck his teeth and groan.

"I'm Nina, you will get to see me alot I assure you. Well, it was nice to meet you. Congratulations you two, I pray y'all have a bunch of kids." She giggled then walked away.

His ex-girlfriend at his wedding? Interesting.

"Are you ready to leave? The driver is getting the cars ready…" He started scrolling through his phone as we walked side by side. I had no idea we were going, I just kept following.

"Yes, I am. But umm…Where would I…sorry I mean we are staying?" I questioned and he looked up from his phone staring at me and then looked back down without uttering a word.

"Rude ass." I muttered under my breath and he seemed to have heard, making him scoff. It was announced that newlyweds were leaving and though most people had already left, others who were present wished us and threw petal of flowers on us until we entered into the backseat of his Rolls Royce, I made eye contact with the Real Mrs Anderson and she make a stank face walking away with Nina.

She really loved Nina.

After getting comfortable and they helped me fit in my gown into the car, the driver drove us out of the parking lot. I was about to speak but Ross set his phone down and pressed a button preventing the driver in front from hearing our conversation.

"Let me make a few things clear. My grandfather simply compelled me to get married to you which is why we are together now so do not expect anything from this marriage." I knitted my eyebrow together taking in his words.

"Also, I can assure you, that the years or however long we are together, I will ensure that you're safe and you live in comfort and luxury but do not expect any form of affection nor expect me to perform any duties as your husband. We leave our own separate lives all while living together, do you understand what I'm saying?"

I felt all types of emotions at this moment, all I got from all he had said was, he wasn't never going to love me so I shouldn't expect that neither was he even planning to be even be friends with me. All he could promise was to provide which basically entails comfort.

I nodded at his words facing the window and watching the day come to an end, and the night was just beginning.

At least Grandfather could rest well knowing I would be safe and I promise him, with or without Ross, I will make myself happy and avoid living in misery.

******

I had just settled into my room, my clothes and shoes including new things had already been arranged in the closets. I took a seat at the edge of my bed moisturizing my skin after about an hour long shower.

I cleared my throat realizing I was thirsty, I tied a pink robe covering the small nightgown I had found in my walk-in closet. One of the maids had given me a small tour after we got into the house and Ross basically discarded me, refusing to say a word.

He was such a weird, rude, annoying fellow.

I walked into the large kitchen and was glad at the utensils and equipment in there. I was so excited to explore and make a bunch of delicacies I had been planning on. I opened the refrigerator and stood there wondering where the cups were.

"Getting ready for your wedding night?" The maid I had met earlier, whose name was Maria, asked, handing me a glass cup.

"Excuse me?" I was quite startled at her unexpected entry, I hadn't heard her well.

"I'm sorry, don't mind me. Have a good night MRS ANDERSON." She quickly scurried out of the kitchen. I looked at her retreating figure puzzled, I let out a breath and carried my glass of water with me upstairs.

I arrived back in my room and set the glass of water on my nightstand then took off my robe. I sighed as I still hadn't gotten a message back from Evelyn. I plugged in my phone and was about to switch off the light when a loud knock came through my door.

"What are you doing here?" I stared at Ross who seemed drunk as anything. He just stared at me before attaching his lips onto mine and kissing me passionately.

This night marked the first time I had ever had sex and it was awesome. We went at it a couple times before we both passed out due to exhaustion after such a passionate night.

Our marriage was definitely locked in after tonight and I was happy.

Until the next morning when he woke up and shattered my heart into a million pieces with the following words,

"What happened last night should never have happened. It was a mistake, I was drunk. We should never have."

And picked up his belongings and exited out of the room.

I shook my head removing the thoughts of loneliness and second guessing my decision.A man who wasn't affectionate nor loving or even tried to be, after three months of living together, ninety solid days. He could never love me. It showed in how he let me get humiliated last night. Staying married will only make me look more pathetic and weak than I already seemed. I didn't even want to think about how people thought of me, the media, the public. They would all paint me as a poor girl who married into this family for money. My phone rang, jolting me out of my depressing thoughts. I cleared my throat and exhaled before picking up.“Hello?” I spoke softly.“Good day, Miss Terra. The divorce papers have been done and it will be delivered in about five minut

I ditched my old contact information, my entire identity, my surroundings, everything was different. I moved to Auriena which is about a ten hour flight back home. The whole country was pleasant and the estate I was staying in was fantastic. I had purchased a luxurious large duplex with about five bedrooms including a master bedroom with a king sized bed just for me, a gym, a kitchen with everything I needed, living room and so much. I had spent a lot of time picturing my children playing around. Yes, my children. Two months ago, during an ultrasound for a routine check up. My gynecologist realized I was having twins.“O My….Twins?” I asked with my eyes watering staring at the monitor.“Yes sweetie. Turns out your little bundle of joy was hiding her sister or brother. They were most likely middle class or not my type of wealthy, yet they were happy. But with everything I had and provided for Terra, she wasn't still happy. Could I blame her?
