TERRA'S POV:

FIVE MONTHS LATER:

It had been five months since I moved to Aurenia, and changed my entire life and name. I ditched my old contact information, my entire identity, my surroundings, everything was different. I moved to Auriena which is about a ten hour flight back home. The whole country was pleasant and the estate I was staying in was fantastic.

I had purchased a luxurious large duplex with about five bedrooms including a master bedroom with a king sized bed just for me, a gym, a kitchen with everything I needed, living room and so much. I had spent a lot of time picturing my children playing around.

Yes, my children.

Two months ago, during an ultrasound for a routine check up. My gynecologist realized I was having twins.

“O My….Twins?” I asked with my eyes watering staring at the monitor.

“Yes sweetie. Turns out your little bundle of joy was hiding her sister or brother. Listen..” My heart melted at the sound of two heartbeats and my tears threatened to fall.

“Congratulations. You're going to have two beautiful twins.” I was uncertain how I was going to handle two babies, but at the moment that was the least of my worries. I was simply gladdened by the thought of having two children who would love me so much, unconditionally, whom I will love just as much.

I was excited to meet them.

It was two days to my due date and I have been feeling so exhausted and frustrated. I could barely even sleep which is why since 3am, I have been up. I struggled to exercise for about an hour then proceeded to the kitchen to grab about ten different snacks and some leftover food from last night. I walked into my kids nursery coated in blue and pink, in hopes that I would have a boy and girl who looked exactly like me.

I mean, don't I deserve that after carrying them for nine months while going through so much weird cravings, pains, thoughts of anxiety.

About three months ago, I found myself crying in the bathroom and almost dialing Ross's number to call him and inform about his kids and tell him about my weird cravings. Luckily, Evelyn was around and she slapped my phone off my hand.

“Evelyn, what are you doing?” I wiped my tears and sniffled following her out of the bathroom.

“You were in there for too long so I got scared and decided to check up on you. And as luck would have it, I found you at the right time.” I pursed my lips and exhaled deeply.

“Just hand me my phone. I was just caught up in the moment.” I spoke seriously, cleaning my face but she looked at me skeptical.

“I will be with your phone for about five minutes. Don't worry you're going to thank me for this later.” She said then ran out of my room like a child and I chuckled weakly shaking my head at her.

I was currently living with a maid, a driver and a housekeeper. The duplex was surrounded with about five security men and that was all. My neighbors were also really nice. Right in front of my house was a newly wed couple who were always so happy and friendly, Gary and Cara. They had just moved to the country as well and based on what Cara had told me during their house warming about three months ago. Gary's family owned a huge chocolate factory which is why they were wealthy. She was such an energetic person, and she was just as excited as Evelyn for me to have my bundle of joys.

I took a seat in my study/small office and I found myself designing trying to drown the thoughts and imagination of my kids hating me about their father, having complications during their birth, losing one of them during labor.

Designing had been so therapeutic, I coloured and drew dresses and outfits for women and kids, Evelyn had complimented it every single time. Unbeknownst to any one, I had been making big plans on my creativity.

After designing about five dresses and kids clothing and feeling different pains which were somewhat bearable, I was startled by the voice of my housekeeper.

“Oh My Goodness, Miss Williams. I have been searching for you all morning.” I squinted my eyes as she opened the curtains and it was then I realized the day had broken.

I had changed my name to Catherine Williams and also in all my identification information. Williams after my mother's original surname and Catherine just seemed like a classy name. Plus I loved how people in this country pronounced it. My physical appearance had not changed so much, due to moving in and all except my fat weight and round big stomach.

My housekeeper, Miss Mary, was a woman in her fifties, who was agile and ready to work. She was so caring and treated me like her granddaughter. I was so appreciative that the Creator was surrounding me with people who actually cared and loved me.

“You still couldn't sleep?” I shook my head ‘no’ blinking repeatedly and she pouted.

“I was certain the tea was going to work, your little babies are really so stubborn.” We both shared a chuckle and she was right. Their kicks and how big I had gotten couldn't let me sleep comfortably.

“Go freshen up. I made some delicious breakfast.” I hummed in response to her word and stared at the red ball gown I was designing then closed the book. I rose up from the chair slowly and she assisted me due to my heavy weight.

As I walked away, I stopped when I felt water splash on my feet. I looked down, I stared back at Miss Mary who looked at me with wide eyes.

“Did your…” She stammered and I nodded repeatedly.

“My water just broke.” I announced and she helped me while announcing through the entire mansion. Evelyn's room bursted wide open and she ran towards me.

“It's time for me to meet my God babies?”

I started to feel pain and that seemed to answer her questions. The two ran about the entire house grabbing my baby bag, snacks and so many other things.

In most movies, it was at night the woman's water broke and by morning, the baby was out. But mine, mine was obviously going to be way different.

I was in pain but excited and scared at the same time.

****************

HOURS LATER…

In the midst of the commotion, as I tried to push out my children, due to the force one of my blood vessels burst and according to the medical personnels, it was uterine rupture. I had read about it during one of my researches and I was told it was more common in women who had twins. I was extremely scared, weak and sad when I heard them suggest a cesarean section. But instead of feeling sad, I just want both my kids and I to be safe and healthy. So even if I don't get to give birth to my babies naturally, I can handle it.

I was moved to the surgery room for the delivery and they had requested for the best doctor just like I heard Evelyn request for shouting.

As they injected the medication in order to prevent me from feeling pain, I just laid drifting away. With my eyes opened and different thoughts crossing through my mind as they worked, my train of thoughts was interrupted by the stinging pain in my eyes.

I was on the brim of tears but the next sound of my baby crying as one of them was brought out of me.

“It's a beautiful baby girl.” They announced smiling at me and I smiled trying to see my child. The sound of my baby tears brought me so much joy, I couldn't wait to actually see her. I saw one of the personnel cutting the cord and I smiled, catching a glance of her coated in blood.

They went ahead to clean her up, check her vital signs and whatever.

The epidural given to me had me feeling so relaxed, until the next words of the doctor.

“The other child isn't crying.” My heart began to race at the announcement of the medical personnel.

“Please is my baby okay?” I cried out questioning while the nurses were checking.

What if I had given birth to a still born? Did my baby die because I was stressing myself out? I tried my best to stay calm all through the period. Where did I go wrong?

The sound of my baby crying loudly interrupted my thoughts and I Exhaled in relief.

“It's okay. Your handsome baby boy is okay.” I smiled and stared up at the ceiling.

Everything was okay, everything would continue to be okay.

After stitching me up and cleaning up my little twins, I was handed my two greatest treasures. My daughter was on my left side and my son was on my right side for skin to skin contact.

I gazed at them as they fussed but their eyes were closed.

“They are so precious. Can we get their names in order to fill in the certificate?” The medical personnels asked, staring at me and my babies with adoration.

Suddenly my son opened his eyes and for a brief second looked at me and my heart raced with tears forming in my eyes.

“Eric Prince Anders…Williams..” I winced as I almost said Ross's family name. Though I hated him and his entire family, staring at my son who has a mixture of Ross's eyes and mine brought shivers.

“Eric Prince Williams right?” I nodded in response to her question.

“Eleanour Princess Williams.” I gazed at her as she slept peacefully.

“Alright ma'am. I will send in your family who have been dying to see you.” She politely excused herself then left.

I swore at that moment that my kids will be filled with so much love and luxuries. They were never going to suffer any humiliation and maltreatment.

They were royalty because they were from me.
