In the Mancini Clan...

"My King, the kidnappers were one hundred precent werewolves. They covered their scent. They took the highway south and then left in helicopters," Clyde's Secretary Jace reported. "We are now investigating which pack they belong to. Not all of them are wealthy enough to own an aircraft and that brand of vehicles, so we may know within hours which trail to follow."

Clyde sat up straight on the bed, still unable to believe that Joanna had been taken. And now he learned that ordinary werewolves were behind all this.

"How dare they mess with me! Do they even know who I am? Let me know as soon as possible which Alpha dared to challenge me, I will deal with him personally. His last minutes are ticking away. If that bastard lays a finger on Joanna..."

Clyde half-shifted into his Lycan, his wolf unable to bear the thought of not being able to protect Joanna. Xin adores his human mate, he was the one who drew Clyde's attention to her when they first met.

Prince Clyde's Point Of ViewDamn it!!! I didn't see that coming. If Joanna were the mate of a werewolf, it couldn't be anything but an Alpha. This operation was far too big to be set up for an ordinary pack member. Rather than approaching me to discuss the issue, he resorted to kidnapping my wife like the criminal he truly is.Shit no, I couldn't leave this case like this. Joanna was mine, I even had the wedding book in my pocket as proof of our commitment. Alpha should have kept his hands off my wife and just called in the Council. If he had done so, Joanna would undoubtedly turned his ass down, she would have rejected him and choose to stay by my side instead. Humans don't experience a mate bond like we do, and whatever attraction she felt wouldn't be enough to pull her away from me permanently.Sybille's words deeply troubled me. Joanna betrayed my trust by spending the night with the Alpha and keeping it from me. That hurt, a lot.Probably she couldn't challenge t

In the Mancini Family Living Room…Natali helped Clyde to the chair next to her father and sat down on a small couch beside him.In front of them stood Alira, with Jace standing at a distance. The Secretary called Prince Alessandro in the mind link to drop whatever he was doing and sign up to the living room with the utmost urgency. The man was in the study working on his laptop when he received the message.‘What's going on, Jace? I wanted to finish some work to allow Clyde could focus on the case with Joanna. Couldn't you do it without me for a while?’ he asked, his eyes still glued to the screen.‘Actually, no. This whole meeting is all about you, Alessandro. I hate to break it to you, but that lady Alira is here. She has been here for a few days now."With a jerk, the Prince's head was up and his face turned into an iron mask.He knew what his father was up to but had no intention of taking Alira as his mate. What they had was a temporary fling that he had no plans of making into

Carlo pulled away from Alira, but his hand was like a vise around her throat. His eyes were like hot coals, gone was the moment of euphoria of having finally found his mate. Instead, he now saw a potential criminal who had done serious harm to his family.Everyone in the living room jumped to their feet as Clyde and Jace surrounded the couple."Alira, you better come clean. There are two of the strongest Lycans among us, and I cannot stand alone to protect you. The best thing you can do at this moment is to confess," Jace dryly suggested to the woman. "We already know that Sybille has something to do with this. Now we want to know what your part is. And make no mistake, nobody here is in the mood for games."The woman swallowed several times and looked anxiously at her mate. But Carlo's priority was his brother, the mate bond was less important to the throne now."Yes, the closer you are to the truth, the better for you. I am your mate, but my feelings are secondary to those of the Cr

Alpha Abel’s Point Of ViewMy mate had been in my pack for three days now. Hex, my wolf, couldn't stand being close to her, the scent of another man on her made him frantic. That day, when I picked her up and carried her to the car, he went crazy. He was furious that another man had touched her. The horny beast within me had eagerly anticipated reliving that night, it was all he'd talked about for days. Darn, my Beta reacted the venue too late. I had instructed him to act before she entered the church. Now here she was with a wedding ring on her finger, making Hex even more ferocious. Joanna's Point Of ViewThe more I listened to the Alpha, the clearer it became that he had no plans of releasing me any time soon. His resolute gaze and commanding presence made that abundantly evident. I needed a different approach, perhaps earning his trust would grant me some freedom here. Being confined to that room for days felt like torture and was ultimately futile. Meanwhile, Clyde must have been consumed by grief, I couldn't help but wonder if he already knew the truth. I held back my anger and turned the Alpha."Is my husband aware that I'm here?" His eyes flickered darkly and his face tightened. it was clear he didn't like my question."If you're referring to your human lover, not yet. However, that will soon change as we’re in the process of annulling your marriage. It’s a mistake you need to correct promptly," he growled. "Besides, you won’t see him again; your life is with me now."Frowning, I lowered my gaze to my hands. This Alpha truly believed he coul

Alpha Abel’s Point Of View Seeing Joanna doubt her human lover was the beginning of his end.Liars never won a game, and my mate was very susceptible to this kind of slip-up. She clearly came from a sheltered environment where deception was highly charged. The various emotions on her face did not bode well for the man. Good for me."Oh well, it didn't matter. Sybille was an ordinary werewolf, maybe she wasn't completely related to the man," I explained. “And there were still werewolves running around who had at least one human parent.” Of course, I knew that Sybille was a full-blooded werewolf and probably a pure one at that. But I used this opportunity to win my mate over as if I wished the man no harm.In the meantime, Eric was keeping an eye on the family, and now that he was back in contact with Sybille, we would know what steps they would take to get Joanna back. I was not worried about the police overseas, they had no jurisdiction in America. And by the time Jo

Her body felt so warm, enough to heat up the little space between us.I closed my eyes for a few seconds to savor the heavenly sensation my mate was instilling in me. Tilting her chin upwards, my thumb traced over her bottom lip. She trembled at our touch and slowly raised her gaze to meet mine, her gray eyes were truly captivating beyond compare. That unforgettable night, I had barely taken the time to study them. Yet now, with them so near, I realized my life would feel incomplete without their presence. But there was no chance of me losing out on this, they belonged to me and I intended to immerse myself in their essence for the rest of my days."You are beautiful," I murmured against her lips. Still Alpha Abel’s Point Of View"Alpha, there was a board meeting tonight. The stakeholders of the Merimen Trust Fund had requested an explanation about a transfer of two million dollars to an offshore investment company outside of America. They thought it was highly suspicious."Elena, my private Secretary, bumped into me as I entered the packhouse with Joanna. Her eyes were glowing red, something serious was definitely going on here. My Secretary was usually very level-headed and confident. The few times I had seen her in this state, Woodland Investment had been on the verge of losing hundreds of millions."Calm down. Let's go into my office and talk about this. How much time do we have before the meeting?" We walked quickly to my office, I pulled Joanna along with me."About four hours. That's not much. Do you know anything about the transfer? I don't." I sat down behind my desk and settled my mate on my lap. Fortunately, she didn't protest and I could concentrate

Still, I could tell he was excited, though for a different reason. The prospect of seeing Janice again consumed him. Third Party …The atmosphere in the packhouse felt utterly unsettled following Joanna's departure.Even though she didn't interact much with the pack members, to us high-ranking and close staff, she was like our cherished ward who required extra protection and care. We were more than willing to offer it, safeguarding her from the world's harshness and ensuring no harm would befall her.Now she's gone for good, Clyde is determined never to lose her again. The intensity in his eyes reveals everything, his love for her surpasses even the value of his own life. However, the void left in the packhouse is unmistakable, everyone can sense it deeply. The Luna seat where she usually sat is now vacant once more, and Emma, our cook, still inadvertently sets an extra place next to mine every day.Just like it is today."Emma, you can take the plate away," I reminded her for what felt like the hundredth time. Crown Prince Clyde’s Point of ViewHaving Joanna around every day was unsettling for my wolf..Xin persistently encouraged me to claim her, leading to frequent conflicts between us. He was impatient and refused to let her declare her love for us on her own terms. Joanna complicated things further with constant physical contact; her accidental touches and gentle kisses on my neck whenever she could send me into a frenzy. All I needed was a straightforward statement that she loved me — loud, clear, and unmistakable —spoken without any pressure from me. Sometimes I sensed she was on the verge of saying something important but then changed her mind at the last moment. In those instances, my heart almost leaped out of my chest with anticipation that my long-awaited moment had arrived. Yet she hesitated, likely lacking the courage to reveal her feelings fully.'You're just a coward, human!' Xin scolded me. 'You hide behind all sorts of excuses. Even if she doesn't say it out

A week had gone by since Clyde and I began working together, and it felt like we were perfectly in sync.We successfully brought the project to completion, and it turned out to be highly profitable for our company. Tomorrow marks its official launch, a moment I eagerly anticipate. Clyde greatly appreciated my contribution, complimenting me throughout the process."Joanna," Clyde remarked one evening as we finished up our tasks. "You've done an amazing job. Be sure to dress up for tomorrow because I'm taking you out on a date after the ceremony."His words sent a thrill through me, yet I couldn’t ignore the invisible wall he had recently erected between us. He rarely touched me now, though he didn't object when I leaned against him. My feelings for him were intensifying, and I'd moved beyond mere infatuation as these emotions ran much deeper within me. Clyde was the man I loved.I pushed away my fear of potentially going back to Moonlight Seekers and leaving him behind. This evening, I

Seated comfortably beside Clyde in his luxurious car, I marveled at the smoothness of the ride and enjoyed the refreshing cool air from the air conditioning. The leather seats were soft and plush, giving me the sensation of sinking into a cloud. I glanced sideways at Clyde, who remained focused as he expertly navigated through the buzzling streets of the city."We're nearly there," he said, his voice resonating with a deep, masculine tone. "I can't wait for you to see the project I'm working on. Your feedback is something I’m really looking forward to."I nodded, intrigued by the chance to contribute to his work. I was determined not to give him the impression that I intended to rely on him financially. Although we hadn't discussed specific working conditions, living in his home rent-free and sharing meals with him made a salary unnecessary. The added benefit of assisting him was being able to spend all my time by his side.As Clyde started outlining the details of the investment proj

Joanna’s Point of ViewAs I entered the magnificent villa, a wave of familiarity swept over me.It felt as though the very walls were whispering to me, eager to reveal their secrets. The further I went, the stronger my sense of déjà vu became; it was as if this house was a part of me.The detailed carvings on the wooden beams and the gentle hum of distant music felt familiar, even though I couldn’t recall ever being here. As I absorbed the surroundings, a young woman emerged in the hallway.Given her strong resemblance to Clyde, she had to be his sister. As I turned my face towards her, she observed me curiously, a question burning in her eyes that I couldn't quite identify. When she finally stood before me, it seemed like she considered embracing me but ultimately opted for a handshake."Hi, I'm Natali," she greeted with a gentle smile that didn't fully illuminate her almond-shaped eyes. "Clyde is my big brother and he's shared so much about you with me. One thing's f

Still Crown Prince Clyde’s Point of ViewOnce the jet was stable in the air, Joanna unbuckled her seatbelt and settled onto my lap. After our escapade a few hours ago, she became even more affectionate. Once she'd packed her belongings from the penthouse and set her suitcase next to mine in the hallway, she came straight over and wrapped her arms around me. She stayed close until we got back into the car, unwilling to let go of me. Even Janice and Jace couldn't resist making some lighthearted comments about it all.Janice was coming with us to Latin America. She was reluctant to leave her friend behind, and it wasn't difficult to persuade Zane to allow her to join us. He thought that after she rejected her mate and dealt with a unrequited love for the Beta, a change of scenery could be just what she needs at the moment. Meeting new people could be a welcome distraction and even allow her to refocus her life."Aren't you going to take a nap, love?" I asked Joanna as I g
