Joanna's Point Of View

The more I listened to the Alpha, the clearer it became that he had no plans of releasing me any time soon.

His resolute gaze and commanding presence made that abundantly evident. I needed a different approach, perhaps earning his trust would grant me some freedom here. Being confined to that room for days felt like torture and was ultimately futile. Meanwhile, Clyde must have been consumed by grief, I couldn't help but wonder if he already knew the truth.

I held back my anger and turned the Alpha.

"Is my husband aware that I'm here?" His eyes flickered darkly and his face tightened. it was clear he didn't like my question.

"If you're referring to your human lover, not yet. However, that will soon change as we’re in the process of annulling your marriage. It’s a mistake you need to correct promptly," he growled. "Besides, you won’t see him again; your life is with me now."

Frowning, I lowered my gaze to my hands. This Alpha truly believed he coul

Alpha Abel’s Point Of View Seeing Joanna doubt her human lover was the beginning of his end.Liars never won a game, and my mate was very susceptible to this kind of slip-up. She clearly came from a sheltered environment where deception was highly charged. The various emotions on her face did not bode well for the man. Good for me."Oh well, it didn't matter. Sybille was an ordinary werewolf, maybe she wasn't completely related to the man," I explained. “And there were still werewolves running around who had at least one human parent.” Of course, I knew that Sybille was a full-blooded werewolf and probably a pure one at that. But I used this opportunity to win my mate over as if I wished the man no harm.In the meantime, Eric was keeping an eye on the family, and now that he was back in contact with Sybille, we would know what steps they would take to get Joanna back. I was not worried about the police overseas, they had no jurisdiction in America. And by the time Jo

Still Alpha Abel’s Point Of ViewAs I assisted Joanna out of the vehicle, I closed the door behind her and gently pressed her against the hood. Her body felt so warm, enough to heat up the little space between us.I closed my eyes for a few seconds to savor the heavenly sensation my mate was instilling in me. Tilting her chin upwards, my thumb traced over her bottom lip. She trembled at our touch and slowly raised her gaze to meet mine, her gray eyes were truly captivating beyond compare. That unforgettable night, I had barely taken the time to study them. Yet now, with them so near, I realized my life would feel incomplete without their presence. But there was no chance of me losing out on this, they belonged to me and I intended to immerse myself in their essence for the rest of my days."You are beautiful," I murmured against her lips. "Please give us a chance, and I'll make amends for the way I brought you here and those long, lonely hours in that room. I had to keep you isolated

Still Alpha Abel’s Point Of View"Alpha, there was a board meeting tonight. The stakeholders of the Merimen Trust Fund had requested an explanation about a transfer of two million dollars to an offshore investment company outside of America. They thought it was highly suspicious."Elena, my private Secretary, bumped into me as I entered the packhouse with Joanna. Her eyes were glowing red, something serious was definitely going on here. My Secretary was usually very level-headed and confident. The few times I had seen her in this state, Woodland Investment had been on the verge of losing hundreds of millions."Calm down. Let's go into my office and talk about this. How much time do we have before the meeting?" We walked quickly to my office, I pulled Joanna along with me."About four hours. That's not much. Do you know anything about the transfer? I don't." I sat down behind my desk and settled my mate on my lap. Fortunately, she didn't protest and I could concentrate

Joanna's Point Of ViewLost in thought, I turned and walked into the apartment. The events of the last hour passed me by.The Alpha! My desperate reaction to his kiss was uncommon. I acknowledged that there was an undeniable attraction between us, but it was more of a sexual nature. It was nothing compared to what I felt for Clyde. Damn it, and I am still a married woman. And then his comments about his wolf buzzed through my head. Had I really had sex with an animal that night? According to him, he and his wolf took turns on me. Holy goodness! How hadn't I noticed any of this? This was unthinkable.Of course, at that moment I was in ecstasy, forgetting everything around me because of the infinite pleasure he was giving me. It was as if I had entered another world where only he and I existed and all that mattered was to satisfy our passion. It was sex and nothing else. Ordinary animal lust. But a few minutes ago in his office, we had a different experience. It turned out that we had o

Joanna's Point Of View"Miss, we know you were awake. Just open your eyes. Don't you want to know what happened to you?"The voice was soft and breathy, but unmistakably male. I slowly opened one eye to see two men looking at me in amusement. One of them had a black top and the other one was a deep blond. Both were solidly built, just under the bulky models on the covers of the sports magazines.Yes, it was decidedly childish of me to close my eyes again under the watchful eyes of the men next to my bed. With a slight smile, I opened both eyes."Yes, please. What am I doing here in the hospital? I remember being involved in a collision and being thrown from the back of the vehicle," I answered quietly. "But there were other people in the car. How did they fare?"The men turned to each other in surprise."No, there was no one else when we found you. We discovered you in the ravine in a creek. Luckily, the water level was low enough not to suffocate you," the handsome black-haired one a

Joanna's Point Of View StillGoodness gracious!I had hoped that Mr. Handsome was blessed with some brains as well. Nothing was more frustrating than to engage with a strikingly attractive man, only to discover he lacked wit or intellect. The imposing and irritated Alpha before me now had surely overlooked the finer details. "The doctor referred to you as Alpha when he entered, genius," I responded in a tone reminiscent of a kindergarten teacher. I rolled my eyes, which clearly infuriated him. It seemed the Alpha couldn't tolerate having his weaknesses highlighted. "Take it easy, little fish. I dragged you out of the creek yesterday, and today you're talking down to me?" he growled as he took a menacing step towards me. But his intimidating demeanor didn't scare me, I defiantly met his gaze head-on. He looked back at me in bewilderment, probably not used to such insolence. "How did you learn about werewolves? As a human, you weren't supp

Still Joanna's Point Of View It was a long drive to the pack, even though Blonde was driving at high speed. After everything that had transpired that day, I felt mentally exhausted and fell asleep shortly after we left. When Mr. Handsome gently shook me awake, he announced that we would arrive at his pack in five minutes. He handed me a warm refreshment wipe, which I quickly used to clean my face and neck.We entered a dirt road and soon came to a set of high gates. A man in a riot gear approached us, and as Blonde lowered the dark window, he slightly bowed."Alpha, Beta, I hope your mission was successful," the man said kindly. "Several hours ago, emissaries from the King arrived here. When I informed them of your absence, they indicated that they would return after some time, Alpha.""Messengers from the King? That's strange, they usually announce their arrival well in advance," Mr. Handsome replied in wonder. "Did they mention the purpose of their visit?""No, Alp

Joanna's Point Of View Still The days in the Moonlight Seekers pack flew by. I felt like I was getting stronger. After three days in the pack, I offered Emma my help in the kitchen. Sleeping and watching television was becoming dull, I saw no one but the maid who brought a tray of food three times a day.Emma understood my situation and seized my offer with both hands. We quickly became good friends, and she introduced me to some of her Italian recipes, which she insisted were Zane's favorites. Yesterday, I made lasagna for the Alpha table for the first time; according to Emma, both Zane and the Beta devoured it all. They even argued over who would get the last piece.Zane inquired about who made it as the taste was entirely different from Emma's. Upon learning that I had cooked yesterday, he praised me, which felt wonderful. Today, I prepared my specialty, Jamaican Jerk Barbecue Chicken and Pork with its signature sauce. To balance out the spice, I inc

As they stood before the grand, imposing doors of the Palace, Butler Clark came before them, his presence as steady as the ancient stones of the building itself.Clark was the same age as Alpha Maceo, but unlike the Alpha, who retained a youthful vigor, the signs of aging were etched deeply into the butler's face, revealing his years of service and loyal duty. Moreover, the butler was not as athletically built, nor did he move with the same fluid grace as Maceo.“Alpha, are you here to speak with the King?” he asked the visitor icy calm, his tone devoid of any warmth. “Please, follow me, the family is on the back terrace, enjoying a moment of respite now that Queen Joanna needs her strength.”Before the Alpha could offer a reply, Clark turned on his heel, clearly expecting the pair to follow him without question. The Alpha and his granddaughter exchanged a surprised glance, before stepping into the grand foyer. They walked through a long, winding corridor, passing a bustling, fragrant

"What did you say?" Alpha Maceo of the Falcon Crest pack thundered, his voice reverberating through the sterile confines of the Royal doctor's office. "Man, run the tests again! This… this cannot be true!"His face, normally a picture of composure and quiet strength, was now flushed crimson, a mask of disbelief and rising fury. He glared at Doctor Andrew, who sat calmly across the polished mahogany desk, his expression carefully neutral. Andrew held out the thin sheets of paper with the results. He read the conclusions aloud, his voice steady, each word a hammer blow to Maceo's bewildered mind, shattering the carefully constructed facade of his reality."Alpha, these are simple English words, and I assure you, I read them correctly," Doctor Andrew sighed, his eyes reflecting a quiet understanding of the turmoil raging within the older man. "And I assure you, I have run these tests five times. I could hardly believe it myself. But your wolf knows the truth. During the collaboration to

Kenrick had worked on his iPad the entire trip. He checked news channels reporting on events in the Kingdom and Woodland. He was meticulous, his brow furrowed in concentration. His phone also constantly buzzed and vibrated. His colleagues worldwide wanted his personal account of the events surrounding Alpha Abel and the Royals. He answered them with clipped, precise words, his voice a low rumble.Although he always treated her respectfully, she could clearly feel his underlying power.Kenrick was definitely Alpha material. His dominance and confidence radiated from him. The intense look in his eyes demanded obedience. His strong grip on her hand, when he did touch her, revealed his inner strength.Sybille knew she should not underestimate him.She had not interacted much with him before. In Woodland, a convoy of vehicles, somber and silent, rolled to a halt before the imposing, massive gates.Three vehicles peeled away from the main group, one of them a hearse carrying the body of the fallen Alpha Abel. A lone warrior approached the lead vehicle, where Kenrick sat in the back with Sybille. As the guard drew closer, he inhaled deeply, his senses sharp, and his eyes widened in shock."Alpha Kenrick," he stammered, disbelief thick in his voice. "We received no word of your arrival. We knew Alpha Abel was defeated since the pack link with him was severed, but the circumstances were shrouded in rumors."The warrior sprinted back towards the gates and pressed a button. The heavy gates began to slide open, granting the cars access to the pack lands. He sent an alert through the mind link, informing the pack of Kenrick's sudden arrival.A flurry of activity erupted within the packhouse. There was no time for formal celebrations or to prepare a grand welcome. Everyone rushed t

“Clyde,” Joanna murmured weak as she slowly opened her eyes, her gaze meeting his.The Crown Prince, his face carved in relief and overflowing with joy, kissed her all over her face as his heart is overflowing with gratitude. The past few minutes had been a terrifying ordeal for the entire family, a roller coaster of emotions that had left them breathless.“Yes, I’m here with you,” Clyde beamed emotionally. “You scared the hell out of me, my love. What would become of me without you by my side? If you ever decide to leave, don’t forget to take me with you, this life is nothing without you.”Joanna smiled, her eyes filled with a deep, unwavering love. With difficulty, she lifted her hand to stroke his face, her touch feather-light, her eyes shining with an affection that transcended words.“Will you mark me now? Once everyone had taken their seats and the Royals stood at some distance in front of him, Clyde addressed the attendees, his voice resonating with a solemn gravity.“As you all know, my wife, Joanna, was the fated mate of Alpha Abel,” he stated the obvious. “With his death, the bond was broken, not only with the marked mate but also with my wife. But Joanna is human, and she carries my twin pups, which adds an immense burden to her already fragile state.”He paused, letting his words sink in, as he heard gasps of shock ripple through the room. Some whispered among themselves, their voices laced with accusation, blaming him for what had happen

"Jace, I can’t bear to lose her," the Crown Prince softly growled with anguish, as he leaned heavily against the cold, sterile wall outside the ward where Joanna was being examined. His knuckles were white, his body trembling with suppressed terror."What could have caused all this? Was it the breaking of the bond with Alpha Abel?""I believe so. Sybille went through the same experience, but her Lycan helped her through it," the Secretary replied gravely. "Joanna is only half-transformed, and her wolf is still too weak. And the pups, man, this is dire."Fifteen agonizing minutes later, the doctor emerged from the examination room, his face a mask of grim concern, his shoulders slumped with a heavy weariness. Clyde and Jace rushed towards him, their hearts pounding with dread. The doctor's posture alone spoke volumes, painting a bleak picture."Doctor, my wife…" the Crown Prince stammered with fear.
