Bella’s Pov

I wasn’t surprised when silence filled the area around us. That’s why I had said what I said so loudly. I wanted to embarrass Lucas the same way he always did me.

“But at least he feeds me and makes sure my needs are met. Who really needs happiness when they have a rich and controlling husband who could care less about anything but themselves?” I asked.

“Your your food Mrs. Connery.” A waiter stuttered as they set my food down. “Look at that just on time.” I said as I looked over at Lucas mockingly l.

“See he always makes sure I’m fed even when I would rather starve than eat.” I sang as I looked back at the food. I forced a huge smile on my face as I grabbed a small piece of sushi.

Without paying anyone any mind I put the sushi into my mouth and smiled as I chewed it. I could only hold in the moan of satisfaction as all the flavors hit me at once.
