Bella’s Pov

“We could’ve just stayed at the hotel.” I murmured as we walked into the party that was not indoors but outdoors. The cool breeze that occasionally swept through had me wanting to go back to the hotel even more.

“Relax.” Lucas demanded in irritation as we walked past a few people dressed in suits that were quick to turn towards Lucas and greet him.

“Mr. Connery it’s an honor to finally meet you in person.” A man said as he basically grabbed Lucas’s arm and tried to shake it off.

“I am happy to make your acquaintance.” Lucas murmured lowly. I looked away from them and looked around at all of the people. We had spent two hours driving to this party that looked boring.

The decorations were beautiful but other than that all it seemed like we could do here was talk and drink.
