MA Ch 17 Working Things Out

Chey got dressed and went to work. Luckily, it’s going to be a slow week. She only has one new case. She was afraid it would be awkward with Mike, but he acted normal. Even made a joke when he saw she was tense.

Matt texted her within 30 minutes of her arriving at work. Just to check to see if she could get his texts now. Then another text at lunch, and another just after 2pm. By 4pm Chey had everything taken care of at work, and the materials she needed to take home for the week. She texted Matt to let him know she was leaving.

Chey arrived home after work. As she walked in, she sees lit candles, flowers, and a card with her name on it. On the kitchen table, there were two place settings with plates full of food.
