“I want to say yes, but I feel it’s a bad idea.” Kenzie saId.

“You saw how big my condo is, It’s paid for. All I pay are utilities. Stuff I pay whether you’re there or not.” Grant explained.

“Let me pay half?” Kenzie said.

“If it will get you to say yes, okay.” Grant said.

“Are you going to tell Leo?” Grant asked.

“No, I’ll leave a note when I leave.” Kenzie responded.

Kenzie didn't tell him about the one time she packed to leave and Leo threatened to kill her. Telling her he’d rather her be dead than with someone else. Or the many times he said if he caught her with another man he’d kill them both. It’s all talk, she thinks. She's moving 6 hours away and not telling him where.

She goes on lunch break to the courthouse and picked up the paperwork she needs to fill out for the divorce. She'll file it the Friday she leaves. Mary and Pat are going to help her pack at the last minute. All she really has are her clothes.
