MA Ch 14 Bad Choices

“Let me see the text.” Laura demanded.

“Here.” Chey showed her.

“I’m going to rip him a new one.” Laura replied.

“No. Let’s just drop it. We need to focus on the charity thing Friday.” Chey demanded.

“No honey, we need to focus on you. This is not right!” Laura replied.

“Laura please, if I focus on me I’m going to fall apart. Please I need this distraction.” Chey begged.

“Well it’s not going to be this Friday but next Saturday week after. And I really could use your help.” Laura responded.

“Why?” Chey asked.

“It was such a mess. The venue had a pipe burst yesterday. Thousands of dollars damages and repairs are going to take 2 weeks to complete.” Laura explained.

“What a mess.” Chey said.

“Yeah so I’ve been calling everyone. Caterers guests you name it. I spent six hours on the phone yesterday and only talked to a fourth of the people.” Laura replied.
