“Look babe, I have to go to work early, 4 to 4 shifts. We’re short on people for this week.” Leonard said.

“Okay.” Kenzie said.

“I’ll give Mary the money for the ticket. But you’re not going.” Leonard said.

“I’m at work and not supposed to be on my phone. But I am going tonight with my friend. You may be my husband but you don’t own me. You can’t forbid me to go out with my friend. I’m 35, not a child.” McKenzie said.

“You’re not going, end of story. I’ll expect you to be home.” Leonard replied.

“I can’t help it if you have insecurities. I’ve never cheated on you nor gave you any reason to think so. But that doesn’t stop you from accusing me does it? Look I’m going, end of story.” She said.

I get up and go to the bathroom, so embarrassed that I said that with Grant in the room.
