In the big office.
The door opened, and a tall guy with blue eyes and brown hair walked in. Nicely carved brows, strong jaw. He was as handsome as Aiden, even in his white shirt tucked in black pants. "Is something wrong? I left home as soon as you called me." The guy named Liam said before noticing his pale face. "You didn't get any sleep again?" He asked, but Aiden just sighed. Aiden had already dropped the file he was going through. He walked towards the mini-palor in the middle of the office and took a seat on the couch, before Liam also sat opposite him. "That was why I said there was a problem. I met this girl... She's a new maid in the house or so, and..." He couldn't even complete his words. He ran his fingers into his hair in frustration and sighed. Liam was the only one he was really close with and could confide in. He shares everything going on in his life with him, maybe because he's a doctor. But he still talks with him more than he does with his other brother, Jason. "And what?" Liam asked, wondering why he was acting that way. "She's my mate." He heard Aiden say, which also shocked him. "Mate? What are you talking about?" He asked before Aiden also explained everything. How the girl sneaked into his house to the point where she's still locked up in a room. "Wait. If I get you right, an omega of the pack is your mate, and she's locked up in your house right now." Liam asked to be sure his ears were working well, but Aiden did not say anything; he just sighed, making Liam sure he heard him right. "But I thought you had..." He couldn't continue his words because he didn't want to reopen healing wounds, but Aiden just smiled, looking at him. "I had a mate, right? I also wondered what was going on." Liam also sighed and kept quiet for some time before saying, "I think this is an opportunity, Aiden. The moon goddess must have given you another mate since you already rejected the first one." But the guy wasn't ready to accept his views. Aiden looked at him before scoffing. "Opportunity? This is not an opportunity. It's just the moon goddess trying to mess with me. And I'll show her she's making a mistake." "Calm down, Aiden. There must have been a reason why," Liam said, but was shut off by Aiden. "Don't give me that, Liam." "OK fine." He raised his two hands up, surrendering from arguing with him, but he still couldn't help but say, "Just release her. You can't lock her up because of something like that." Seeing that he wasn't saying anything, Liam added. "Should I go home with you tonight?" Aiden, who had been quiet, was quickly rejected. "No. I'll solve it myself." He said before standing up to go back to his work, but he alone knew what he would do. Liam also stood up, but not before saying, "Mother is expecting you for this coming anniversary for the pack." But not hearing him say anything or look at him, he just sighed. "OK. I'll call you then." He knew he wasn't going to attend. The party was for the pack to get together once in a while and celebrate the day he became Alpha, but he, as the Alpha, had always refused to attend. And no one seems to force him to come. Liam left the room. *** He got home late as usual, but this time around, he wasn't drunk. It felt like he was holding back from going home, but when he finally mustered up his courage, he went home. He was hoping Liam would administer more doses of sleeping pills, but the man was just saying things that he wasn't interested in. And neither was he planning to do what he said. As soon as he walked into the house, he turned to his assistant, who was also behind him. "Bring the girl here now." He said this to him before walking up the stairs to go to his room. And after some time, he came back to the living room. *** She knelt on the floor in the living room. She looked so pale with no tears on her face, but still, she was so scared. Not quite long ago, she saw a figure walking down the stairs, and her heart started beating faster. "Please forgive me. I promise I won't make such a mistake again. Just let me go." She begged. Her head touched the floor as she knelt down, but when she heard him scoff, she raised her head slowly to him. "Forgive and let you go. What do you even think you're here for? You think it's because you broke the rules for entering the house?" He asked, but Amelia could not say a word. "If he's not punishing me for entering, then why is he doing this?" She thought, but was quickly pushed out of her thoughts. "You're happy, ain't you?" He asked again. His face was so serious that Amelia did not know whether to cry. "A wolfless omega mated to an alpha. That must be fiction in your own world. Am I right?" He scoffed. Amelia had been quiet ever since he started talking. She didn't even understand what she did so wrong, and hearing him talk since made her feel that he would eventually forgive her and let her go, but hearing his last words about mating an alpha, she knew she was done for. All her suspicions and what she heard. They were all true. Cleaning the new tears that were already running down her cheeks, she whispered. "That's not possible." But it didn't go unheard from the Alpha. Suddenly, he stood up and turned to his assistant, who had also been standing behind a corner. "Make her my special maid and let her live here in the main building." Turning back to Amelia, who was already sobbing loudly, "I'll make your life so difficult that the moon goddess will blame herself for giving you such a cruel fate." He said before turning around to leave, but Amelia quickly ran up to him and held one of his legs. "No. I need to go home. I can't stay here. Please." She begged, but Aiden quickly pulled his legs away from her. He turned to her. "Blame your fate. If you ever try this again, I'll make you rot in a dungeon." He threatened, looking at her with disdain before leaving the room. Amelia cried for a long time, rolling on the ground like she wanted to end her life herself, but at one point she was pulled up by Eric and taken to her new room. The next morning,She woke up with puffy eyes. She had cried all night. Looking around the big room, she quickly moved away from the big bed. She noticed that her belongings had been brought to the room, but as she searched through her bag, her phone was not there. How can she call her father and tell him about the problem she has encountered? She cried, thinking about it, but stopped immediately when she heard a loud knock on the door. She became even more terrified as the knock kept getting louder, but still she couldn't move closer to open it. All of a sudden, the door opened. "Have you gone mad? Didn't you hear the knocks?" The housekeeper screamed, but Amelia was just looking quietly with her face all sweaty.Seeing that she wasn't saying a word, the housekeeper also sighed before dropping a pair of clothes, which she recognized as the clothes the full-time maids wear, on the bed. "You only have fifteen minutes." The woman said before leaving the room. She kept looking at the clo
The van stopped in front of a cafe in the city. She looked around and noticed that the man had gone out of the van, and she took that as an opportunity to escape. Opening the trunk, she slowly crawled out and quickly moved away to avoid anyone seeing her. She was hoping she would get caught at the gate, because the guards at the entrance of the house would surely check any car that leaves the house, but strangely and luckily for her, they didn't, which made her more thankful. She made sure she walked far away from the van to avoid any problems with her getting caught. "You're finally saved, Amelia." She kept saying this to herself with tears running down her cheeks as she walked along the route home, but suddenly she remembered something. "No. I can't." She knew that the Alpha already knew she was an Omega from his pack, and going back home would surely get her caught. Not that she also had anywhere she could go, but home to her father was surely not an option.Having no destination
The next morning, All night, she couldn't sleep. She couldn't believe she would be locked up in that small room again, but still, she didn't care. She kept telling herself she wouldn't be weak give in to his demands, even if he were to kill her. Her face looked strong and determined, with no emotions in it.Not too long, she heard a sound from the door, which made her know that someone was trying to unlock it. The door was pushed open, and two men entered and dragged her with them. She knelt on the cold floor of the living room, facing the empty couch, but she was not alone. Two men stood on different sides of the room, but not too far away from her. She kept looking at the couch, and as soon as she huffed a sigh, she heard a sound coming from the stairs. Without having to look at who it was, she already knew it was him. He walked majestically into the room, sat elegantly on the couch she was facing, and looked at the girl, who was also staring at him directly, like she didn't fear
In the bedroom given to her, she sat down on the bed, looking at the copy of the document she had just signed. She sighed before stretching forward to take the contract. And as she went through it, different kinds of emotions kept flowing through her.Party B must obey and do whatever Party A says at all times without complaining or refusing.Party B must not tell anyone about the relationship or the contract between them or talk to anyone without the permission of Party A.Party B is not allowed to leave the house without permission from Party A.Party B is only allowed to perform the activities of a personal maid for party A, including cooking and doing everything party A wants, except cleaning or going near party A's studies. There were a lot of conditions under which she couldn't even continue reading."This is more like slavery. He threatened me to sign this useless contract." She cried, trying to tear it off, but stopped when she remembered it was of no use.Suddenly, a knock ca
She entered the house and was left stunned. It wasn't as classy as Aiden's home, but the green and brown of the room blended so well, giving it its own class. Just the typical modern, dark werewolf house. She walked in between the people, admiring the beautiful halls. She didn't know what she went there for, but there was no harm in looking around. She was still looking around when she suddenly heard a voice, which she knew was directed at her. "Hey."The woman also knew she had caused a scene because of the people's gazes on her. She just walked up to Amelia and whispered, despite her tone denoting she was angry. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be serving drinks to the guests?"The woman did not even wait before she dragged her away from the place to the kitchen. In the kitchen. "Take this tray and go serve the guest." She said, pointing towards the drink filled with different glasses of drink, but Amelia, who was still standing there, confused, just kept looking at the drin
They had already caused a scene, making everyone's focus on them. Even the Luna was about to stop the woman when a loud voice sounded in the quiet room, making everyone look towards the route where it came from. "That's enough.""Beta Liam." The woman called out with a smile, looking at the man who was already standing beside the girl."How much is the gown?" Liam asked, looking at the woman with no emotion. The woman, who was also surprised, felt embarrassed. She knew that she had caused a scene, which must have made the beta ask her how much she was shouting over, and not that she was pained about the clothes or worried; she just wanted to show the low-class omega a lesson. "The gown costs a fortune, Beta, but that's not even the problem. People like her need to be taught a lesson." She said, looking at Amelia, who was just looking down with tears falling out of her eyes.Liam sighed, as if he were trying to keep his cool. "How much is it?"At that point, the woman knew she was don
He entered his office with Eric, his assistant, behind him, only to see two familiar figures sitting on a long chair in the minipalor. "What are you both doing here?" He asked them before looking at his assistant. "Why didn't you tell me they were here?" Eric, who also looked scared, was about to answer when he heard, "Just leave." Eric had been his assistant for years, to the point that he could say he knew him well, but things seemed to have changed so much in the past few months. Aiden had become so cold and intimidating to the point that he even shivered from his silence. He bowed his head and left immediately. "You keep getting colder each day. Geez. I'm getting goosebumps," Jason said. His hands crossed in front of his chest, and he rubbed his arms in a dramatic way as if he were freezing cold. Aiden just kept looking at the both of them before he moved and sat opposite them. "What are you both looking for here so early?" He asked, to which Jason left his seat and sat beside
She sat down on the couch in the living room, looking at the table in the middle of the room as she was lost in thoughts. She didn't even realize it when two people walked into the room. Her mom and dad, Cassandra and Gary, both entered the room, to which Gary asked, "You're back. How was the party?" But seeing that their daughter wasn't looking happy, they walked closer to her and sat beside her. "What's wrong?" Cassandra asked. Every time, they had always known that their daughter, Valerie, was the one who would change his life forever. They were happy when their daughter got to attend a party in the pack, even when they couldn't because of their status. But for their other daughter, Amelia, they didn't see her as anyone who would benefit their family, especially Gary, who was her biological father. The only thing he could do was collect Amelia's money or steal it from her.He really loved Valerie to the point that he would always give her anything she wanted just to make her happy
Aiden looked at her. His heart pounded fast. She knew everything, yet she didn't say anything. "Oh... Eric must have told you." She wanted to tell him she didn't know from Eric, but she let him be. "Are you okay?" She asked. He was avoiding her gaze, and she hated it."You should be scared.""Why would I be?" Amelia asked back. Suddenly, he stood up, running his hand through his hair. "I don't know. I killed a close friend and hid it from everyone." He paused and looked at her. He didn't see the emotion he expected from her face. The same one his mother and brothers had. They don't believe him, and it's making him feel more guilty."I killed him... because I was jealous. He was as strong as me, probably more. And maybe you all aren't worried, or you don't believe me, because I think I'm going insane. It haunts me every day, in my sleep. I've been suffering from insomnia since three years ago. I don't know if you all just think I'm making this up or something. I killed Wes, hid it, an
"What do you think you're doing? You've destroyed everything, Carrie! You're such a big fool. Aiden just told the pack everything about Wes!" He screamed but calmed down, knowing he was not in a safe place."I know." He heard her say."You know?! Carrie, do you know what this will cause me?!" He screamed, running his hands through his hair in anger, but he heard her scoff. "Enough of this. Do you think your plan for three years will work now? It had always been a stupid one, going after his feelings or whatever. Yuck."He couldn't believe she was talking to him that way. "How dare you, Carrie! Learn how to speak to me, or I'll remind you of your place." He said, but she scoffed again."I changed all your plans. We'll kill Aiden. And anyone that comes in our way.""That's not part of the plan." He snapped."It's not, but it would be. And now is the time... I'll call you back. I'm getting another call." She said, but before she could hang up, he screamed. "Don't you dare hang up on me!"
"Amelia. Wake up." She tapped her and tried collecting the glass ball from her, but it didn't work."You did not kill him. You know nothing about it. Please." She kept begging and crying in her sleep.Patricia knew she had seen somebody bad, and she needed to bring her back, but the spell to reverse it wasn't working on her. It seemed like she was seeing another memory.***"Elijah." She called out from the living room, but she didn't hear any sound. She looked at the baby in the cot and smiled. "I'll be back, dear." She stood up and left to go look for her second child."Oh my goodness!" She sighed, seeing the mess the three-year-old had caused in the kitchen. Ever since he started walking with his little legs, she hadn't had peace."So stubborn." She cleaned his shirt, which had a stain. Immediately, her phone beeped in her pocket. She brought it out and saw who it was. Without wasting time, she picked it. "Roseline, leave the house immediately. I saw a vision. He knows where you ar
"This is risky, Amelia. In some cases, it might not work." Patricia said to her as they both looked at the glass ball on the table.Amelia looked up at her. "Please, I need to. Carrie is hiding things, and I can't ask from Aiden. She's manipulating him because of something that has happened in the past."Patricia sighed. Amelia wouldn't let her rest. She had to even come so early in the morning to her place. "Ok. We can at least try. Are you ready?" "Yes." Amelia nodded. "Lie down," Patricia said, to which she also obeyed. She lay on the couch while Patricia began chanting some spells. Patricia gave her the ball to hold. After some minutes, she sprayed a powder at Amelia. "Do you feel sleepy?" She asked, to which Amelia shook her head. "No.""It's a powerful magic, and it won't work so easily. Seeing things from another's past isn't easy." She said it again before trying the spell again, but still, nothing happened. The time seemed shorter because they tried so many times. They ev
She sat in the living room watching a movie. She had just finished having dinner. She couldn't count how many times she had glanced at her phone since she sat down. "He said he'll call later. Should I call him myself? No. That would be too forward." She said to herself. "Gosh, I'm so worried about him." She had been worried since she contacted Patricia in the morning. Patricia told her it would be hard to check his past, but it was possible. She was worried Aiden wouldn't like it if she did it and worried she might see something more terrible about Carrie. She sighed for the umpteenth time, using the blanket on the couch to cover her body as she lay her back on the couch. Immediately, her phone beeped. She got up, flinging the blanket off her body."He's the one. Calm down, Amelia." She said to herself, trying to calm herself. She knew she had to pick up within the next few seconds before it would hang up, and she did."Hi." She heard his voice first."Hi," she said back to him, smi
The next morning. She stirred in her sleep as the ray of light fell on her face. "Ah!" she groaned, stretching her hands. She opened her eyes before sitting up. She looked at her bed before it dawned on her. "What happened last night?" She remembered watching a movie, and suddenly she had no memories of what happened next or how she got to the room."Oh my goodness!" She ran out of the room and made her way to the living room. She heard his voice. He was backing her and was on a call with someone. "Yes. Come soon." He said and hung up."You're up. Good morning." He said to her with a smile when he noticed her."Good morning." She replied with a smile. They exchanged gazes briefly before Aiden walked closer to her. "I'm sorry, but can we talk?"Her smile froze. Talk. What does he want to talk about? It got her scared. What if it was about last night? Did she do something to him?"Yes." She sat down, to which he also sat opposite her.It made her even more scared, and she couldn't help
She shouldn't have told him those. It felt so embarrassing, and now she couldn't face him again. It looked like luck wasn't on her side because Aiden asked as soon as they got into the living room. "So, where did we stop?" "It doesn't matter. I'm just being stupid." She said, unable to face him. Aiden raised her chin for her to look at him. "No, you're not. I appreciate you saying it. And I'm not angry. It's not like I didn't talk. I was just silent. I don't know if that makes any sense." He said, making Amelia chuckle. "Anyway, I didn't talk because I thought you might need space. And maybe because I didn't know what to say. About looking at you, I'm sorry I don't look at you more often." He smiled. "Gosh, I didn't mean it that way." Amelia hit his arm lightly. Her cheeks had become red, and she didn't want him to see, but he wasn't giving her the chance; he kept raising her chin so their gaze could meet. "And about offering to take you back home, it's not because I didn't want y
"What is all this commotion for?""Commotion? That girl tried to hurt me and the baby? Don't you even care about that?" She stood up from the bed to face him."I do. That's why I keep trying to stop the fight and focus on calling you a doctor, but you didn't want that because you're busy fighting.""No. This is not you. You should focus on punishing her first instead of calling for a doctor. That should be your priority." She screamed at him, poking his arm.Aiden looked at her in disbelief. He couldn't believe he was more interested in making Amelia suffer than her getting treated. She was even screaming like nothing had happened to her before. "Carrie. I don't want to have this conversation with you right now.""Did you get her a house?" She asked, but Aiden didn't say a word. "You're acting different, Aiden. This is not you. Not my Aiden. You should only focus on me. Forget about her. I know it's your wolf." She said, touching his face and arms. "Everything is because of the bond.
She followed the maid up the stairs to clean her dress. She couldn't help but be reminded of the past as she followed the maid. "Come in. You can use this room's bathroom." The maid said, opening a door to a room, but not just any room. The room she was sleeping in before. The room given to her when she was working in the house. "Can I use another bathroom? Perhaps the guests." She felt uncomfortable using the room's bathroom. She didn't want to remember the past, at least not the bad ones. "Why? You also think you're a guest?" The maid snorted with her hands crossed on her chest. Amelia looked surprised, but she didn't want to argue or fight with her. She just turned around to leave, but before she could, the maid pulled her back. "I'm not done talking to you. Because you're dressed in a classy gown, you think you've become special." "Do you have anything against me?" Amelia asked. She couldn't understand why the maid would bring her up there just to insult her. When she was s
