He took his bath and went to work, but still he couldn't stop thinking about how his wolf could call another woman a mate.

He had to cancel all his meetings because he couldn't concentrate. This is the first time such has happened to him in months. "Shit!" He closed his laptop frustratingly and took out his phone to make a call. "Eric, I need every detail about that girl this night. Even the little ones." He said this before hanging up.

The day kept becoming shorter for him as each minute passed by. He couldn't even get any work done until work was finally over for the day.

It was already late when he came back home. Almost midnight. Something that has never happened before. Even when he gets drunk in the club, he comes back home early and continues with his drinking.

He walked into the house. "Good evening, sir." Eric greeted. Eric was his assistant at work, and he had some things to attend to on that day, so he couldn't follow Aiden to work.

Without replying to his greetings, he asked, "Where is it?"

"Here is it, sir." Eric, the assistant, replied, stretching a file to him, which he also collected and opened. He went through it for a few minutes before looking up at the guy standing before him. "She's an Omega?"

Aiden was not surprised to hear that she was an omega, but being a wolfless one made him shocked and angry. He was still checking the file when Eric said, "I also found a phone. And I believe it belongs to her."

He collected the phone and looked at it before turning back to Eric. "You can go."

Eric also bowed his head. "Good night, sir." Before leaving the room.

He didn't bother going to bed because he knew he wouldn't sleep. He walked into a large room filled with shelves of books and a small mini-parlor opposite a big table arranged neatly. All giving him the best study and the perfect place to get his thinking together. Dropping the file and phone on the table, he sat down on the chair behind the table and went through the file for some minutes before dropping it. "A wolfless Omega." He called out so many times.

He sighed as he rested his back on the chair. "There must be something wrong somewhere," he said, holding his head so tightly as if he were in pain. How could he have another mate? "The moon goddess must be joking." He knew that thinking more about the matter would definitely not make him sleep that night, but he couldn't help it. He opened the drawer beside the table and took out a bottle filled with sleeping pills. He opened the bottle and took some of it before standing up to leave for his room, but stopped because of the loud ringtone coming from the small phone.

He looked back at the table. "Dad," he said, looking at the caller ID, before shutting down the phone.

He went to his room, but, as expected, he couldn't sleep. He found himself tossing around the whole night, despite adding to the dose of the pills he took.

***

In an empty, small room with only a small window. Nothing could be found in the room except a girl who sat in a corner with her knees held in front of her. She was covering her face with her knees, making her hair fall on her knees and her back. Only the small sobs from her could be heard.

After some time, she raised her head slowly and felt a terrible headache. "Why is this happening to you, Amelia? What did I do so wrong?" She cried even more, rubbing her face with her hands. She had been in the room for hours, and she felt so hungry and weak, but none of that was her problem.

"What could she have done to deserve such a cruel punishment?" She asked herself as she thought of her father, who would have been calling her. She was supposed to have been at home, but she was trapped serving punishment. The fact that she didn't know what time it was but only saw that it was getting darker got her even more scared and baffled.

She kept thinking about the excuse to give her father about not sending the money on time, without even thinking whether she would leave the room alive, but suddenly she remembered something. "Mate." She cleaned her face and tried to remember what she heard. "No. That's not possible. I must have misheard." She kept saying it to herself. She didn't want to think that what she heard was true. There was no way the Alpha would call her mate.

***

The next morning, the rays of the sun reflected through the glass wall of the room, making the room brighter, and it could disrupt the sleep of the man lying on the bed. But his eyes were widely open. He couldn't get any sleep, making him have dark circles and red eyes. He stretched his hand towards the drawer close to his bed and took out his phone to dial a number. "Hello. I need to see you." He said, waiting for the person's reply before he said again. "Yes. I'll see you in an hour.

He rose from bed and walked into his bathroom. Even bathing became a problem; he couldn't stop thinking about the possibility of him having another mate, who happened to be an omega. "Should I just reject her?" He thought, but suddenly replied to himself. "No. The moon goddess has to know she made a mistake."

He finished bathing, dressed up in his suit, and walked down the stairs only to find his assistant waiting for him and the housekeeper in the dining room. "Your breakfast is ready, alpha." The woman said with a slight bow, but raised her head when she heard. "Feed that, Omega. If she dies, you'll pay for it."

He said before walking out of the room with his assistant. The housekeeper only stood in that same position. She was surprised to see the alpha acting that way after what he did to the girl. Without bothering to think more, she packed the food and went towards the old, small storeroom where the girl was being kept.

She took the keys and opened them, only to see the frail creature sleeping on the floor, looking so weak. She walked closer to her and dropped the tray of food on the floor. "Sit up and have some food." The woman commanded, but seeing that the girl wouldn't move, she sighed.

She would have left her alone, but for a reason, she wanted to know why the Alpha had locked her up. "It's your choice if you don't want to eat. But tell me. What did you do to the Alpha?" She knew that even breaking the rules couldn't warrant such punishment, but still, seeing that the girl wouldn't talk or even look at her, she scoffed. "Such rude behavior. I'm sure it's nothing important." She said before walking out of the room and closing the door after her.

In the big office. The door opened, and a tall guy with blue eyes and brown hair walked in. Nicely carved brows, strong jaw. He was as handsome as Aiden, even in his white shirt tucked in black pants. "Is something wrong? I left home as soon as you called me." The guy named Liam said before noticing his pale face. "You didn't get any sleep again?" He asked, but Aiden just sighed. Aiden had already dropped the file he was going through. He walked towards the mini-palor in the middle of the office and took a seat on the couch, before Liam also sat opposite him. "That was why I said there was a problem. I met this girl... She's a new maid in the house or so, and..." He couldn't even complete his words. He ran his fingers into his hair in frustration and sighed. Liam was the only one he was really close with and could confide in. He shares everything going on in his life with him, maybe because he's a doctor. But he still talks with him more than he does with his other brother, Jason.

She noticed that her belongings had been brought to the room, but as she searched through her bag, her phone was not there. How can she call her father and tell him about the problem she has encountered? She cried, thinking about it, but stopped immediately when she heard a loud knock on the door. She became even more terrified as the knock kept getting louder, but still she couldn't move closer to open it. All of a sudden, the door opened. "Have you gone mad? Didn't you hear the knocks?" The housekeeper screamed, but Amelia was just looking quietly with her face all sweaty.Seeing that she wasn't saying a word, the housekeeper also sighed before dropping a pair of clothes, which she recognized as the clothes the full-time maids wear, on the bed. The van stopped in front of a cafe in the city. She looked around and noticed that the man had gone out of the van, and she took that as an opportunity to escape. Opening the trunk, she slowly crawled out and quickly moved away to avoid anyone seeing her. She was hoping she would get caught at the gate, because the guards at the entrance of the house would surely check any car that leaves the house, but strangely and luckily for her, they didn't, which made her more thankful. She made sure she walked far away from the van to avoid any problems with her getting caught. "You're finally saved, Amelia." She kept saying this to herself with tears running down her cheeks as she walked along the route home, but suddenly she remembered something. "No. I can't." She knew that the Alpha already knew she was an Omega from his pack, and going back home would surely get her caught. Not that she also had anywhere she could go, but home to her father was surely not an option.Having no destination

She entered the house and was left stunned. It wasn't as classy as Aiden's home, but the green and brown of the room blended so well, giving it its own class. Just the typical modern, dark werewolf house. She walked in between the people, admiring the beautiful halls. She didn't know what she went there for, but there was no harm in looking around. She was still looking around when she suddenly heard a voice, which she knew was directed at her. "Hey."The woman also knew she had caused a scene because of the people's gazes on her. She just walked up to Amelia and whispered, despite her tone denoting she was angry. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be serving drinks to the guests?"The woman did not even wait before she dragged her away from the place to the kitchen. In the kitchen. "Take this tray and go serve the guest." She said, pointing towards the drink filled with different glasses of drink, but Amelia, who was still standing there, confused, just kept looking at the drin

The woman called out with a smile, looking at the man who was already standing beside the girl."How much is the gown?" Liam asked, looking at the woman with no emotion. The woman, who was also surprised, felt embarrassed. She knew that she had caused a scene, which must have made the beta ask her how much she was shouting over, and not that she was pained about the clothes or worried; she just wanted to show the low-class omega a lesson. "The gown costs a fortune, Beta, but that's not even the problem. People like her need to be taught a lesson." She said, looking at Amelia, who was just looking down with tears falling out of her eyes.Liam sighed, as if he were trying to keep his cool. Eric had been his assistant for years, to the point that he could say he knew him well, but things seemed to have changed so much in the past few months. Aiden had become so cold and intimidating to the point that he even shivered from his silence. He bowed his head and left immediately. "You keep getting colder each day. Geez. I'm getting goosebumps," Jason said. His hands crossed in front of his chest, and he rubbed his arms in a dramatic way as if he were freezing cold. Two days later. He got discharged from the hospital and went back home with Amelia, who helped him with things despite his disapproval, saying he was fine. He got new maids to get Carrie's things out of the house and get the entire house cleaned. It was finally time to punish the evildoers. He walked into the hall of the pack's house. The elders have all stood silently on a side. His mother, Amelia, and brother were also present. "Bring them in." He said as he sat down in front of them. The guards left the room and came back with three people whose hands were tied. They all looked dirty and pale. And their body had marks like they'd been beaten a couple of times. His gaze was on Paul, who knelt on the floor with his face looking down. "You all have heard everything going on. It's a pity someone from our pack, who I trusted so much, had been... planning. No. He had planned so many evil things for me and my pack. Paul here. Killed Wes manipulated me, my wolf, into believing his

"Where's Aiden?""He's fine, Mum. Calm down. You both know he'll be fine." Jason said with a sigh. Vera also looked at Amelia. "Amelia. I'm sorry. How are you? You should get yourself treated first." She pulled Amelia with her to go get a doctor to treat the wound on her neck."No. Please. I'm fine. I want to stay here." She said, tears rolling down her cheeks. "It's my fault. I didn't tell him. Her head felt so heavy. She opened her eyes slowly to get familiar with her surroundings, but her eyes failed her. She couldn't move her eyelids because of the weakness. She knew she was tied to a chair, but she couldn't move a muscle. She felt like a vegetable in the chair. She swung her head to the back and stayed like that for hours, deep in sleep. An hour passed. Two. Four. She moved in her sleep and groaned painfully. She tried to use her hand to touch her neck, which hurts so much, but couldn't. She looked down to see her hands being tied to the hand of a wooden chair. "Ah!" she groaned even more because of the pain in her neck. She had kept it in that position for a long time. She tried to look around. The room was dark with only the light up the ceiling, pointing directly at her. The next morning."I don't know if I should be surprised. You've gotten quite bold lately, Amelia. Did Aiden know you're here?" She sat on the couch with her leg crossed on the other as she stared at Amelia, who was also sitting opposite her.Amelia had called her that morning to say they should see and talk. She was surprised at first, but agreed. She agreed they meet at Aiden's house. "I think you should be anxious instead," Amelia said to her. She had planned to expose her and her father that day. She had had enough of her lies. She needed to let Aiden know, but he would hear it from her herself.Carrie scoffed before saying coldly, "Know your place, omega. Think before you spout out nonsense." Amelia was boiling with anger. The thought of Carrie still talking with so much confidence after everything she had done annoyed her. "Of course. Suddenly, he stood up, running his hand through his hair. "I don't know. I killed a close friend and hid it from everyone." He paused and looked at her. He didn't see the emotion he expected from her face. The same one his mother and brothers had. They don't believe him, and it's making him feel more guilty."I killed him... because I was jealous. He was as strong as me, probably more. And maybe you all aren't worried, or you don't believe me, because I think I'm going insane. It haunts me every day, in my sleep.
