Alessia's POV

I hate stumbling on people's conversation, but somehow I just end up finding myself right on the spot. We were all out for our morning drill as usual and I had eavesdrop on my mum having some sort of argument with her father. As heated as it sounded, I couldn't hear a word they were saying.

It's almost like the both of them resulted into speaking a foreign language that I couldn't seem to understand. Coming to the realization that listening in was fruitless, I made my way to the field. As if fate really is awarding me for being good during the week, Joxer was the one training Allen and I.

Initially, I had been expecting to get rebuked by either uncle Walter or mum for waking up late and not eeportiing to the training field on time. But like I said, fate favored me this time around.

"Welcome, mademoiselle. Do we need to roll out the red carpet for you?" Joxer taunted.

"Morning to you too, uncle." I drawled.
