Alessia's POV

One thing I do not like is bumping into people discussing about me. Especially when I am in the most awful mood, like right now. I glared at Allen then back at Cara.

"Why are you both discussing me?" I inquired, pulling out a stool for myself.

Cara stared at me with a pitiful glance, "my pretty angel, we were just talking about the condition of the family and yours."

"And even if you heard us discussing about you. There is nothing wrong with it." Allen blurted.

I pushed at his forehead, "you lack everything that is regarded as manners. Shouldn't you feel awful for talking behind my back?"

"You are my cousin, I will talk about you whichever way I want." He insisted

I flicked my tongue at him, knowing he wouldn't give up. "All I know is, I won't be like my mother and get subjected to carrying burdens that are not mine."
