Chapter 5: Rejection

Edna's POV

Honestly, Alpha Prince Ray was the most compassionate person I knew at that time, he showered me with all the love I could get and I couldn't express my gratitude no matter how hard I tried…but the fact that I was a slave from the duke family continue to taunt me. Each day I woke up my first prayer was that Theresa would never get the chance to meet Alpha Ray, because at that instant I would lose everything.

Few days to my grand arrival to the palace I decided to take a stroll around the mansion for atleast one more time when I saw Theresa and her mother talking in a distance, I wasted no time in hiding myself away from them while I secretly eavesdrop on their conversation.

"Mom, he bit her what else can I possibly do about that. It's been confirmed they are both mates." Theresa said to her mother clearly frustrated, I couldn't believe my ears. Weren't they happy I was finally leaving the house and now they want to sabotage my only chance of happiness due to jealousy, I couldn't stand there anymore and listen to their conversation. I stomped off angrily, when I leave this mansion I would make sure they regret everything they ever did to me from the beginning.

But one huge mistake I made was being impatient and stomping out before they could finish their discussion about me, how I wish I could turn back time but I guess it was too late for that.

I continued to live in the fantasy world I created for myself with Alpha Prince Ray and of course keeping him in the dark but for some unknown reason Theresa stopped being a threat and just then I thought I had won, but the the mysery in my life had just began just like I said in the beginning.

Theresa was furious about Edna's few days of happiness and couldn't wait to put her plans into place.

"We shall see Edna!" she said within herself.

Edna had just had her bath after having a long morning when she heard sounds from the compound.

Through the window, she glanced down only to see the chiefs of Aman Pack.

She froze.

She remembered Alpha Ray telling her would come for her.

Smiling, she closed the curtains and turned to her room to catch a breath.

"Go in and get her ready!" Father Duke said to his maids.

Happily they went in and got her ready.

Madam Duke also went to her jewelry box and brought out some beautiful jewelry, taking it to Edna's room.

Opening the door, "it's awesome as to how you will grow from a slave to a Luna. I must say, I am very proud of you. I will stand as your mother too."

"Thank you ma'am!" Edna felt so touched. She didn't know Madam Edna would ever be this supportive of her.

"It's fine! Put these on." She said, giving the jewelries to the other maids to wear it for her.

Edna's eyes widened in shock. She was moved to tears.

"if you cry, it will ruin your makeup so please don't.'' The maids teased her.

Soon, she came down and headed to the chiefs with the help of her fellow maids.

They opened their mouths amazed at the kind of beauty and elegance she exuded.

Happily, they took her to the palace.

Edna had never thought that such a day would exist in her life.

When they got to the palace, the royalties were already standing at the front door to welcome her.

The werewolves of Aman were present as well. Their eyeballs became larger when they saw how adorable she looked.

Their future Luna Queen was indeed beautiful.

Everyone admired her as she headed towards the royalties.

She fitted perfectly to the luxurious environment.

It was like she was already Luna.

Luna Jessy felt proud of her son when she saw Edna as she nodded her head approvingly.

"Greeting The greatest Alpha King Tyga! Greetings The great Luna Queen of this great Pack! Greetings Alpha Prince Ray! Aman's future hope! Greetings Alpha Prince Luke!"

She greeted them each, bowing to show her respect.

They were all amazed.

They nodded in approval.

Soon, the celebration started. There was a lot to eat and drink at the palace.

The Duke family were also present to dine with them as they watched Edna's interactions with Alpha Ray.

After a few minutes, Alpha Ray then took a break to go to his room and pick up a gift he had gotten for her.

"I will be back in a minute." he said to Edna as he stood up and left.

"OK..." before Edna would finish answering, he had already run off into the upper room.

Alpha Ray walked into his room with a bright face. Heading to his wardrobe, he opened it to bring out the present.

Seeing it, he smiled.

As he was to leave, his attention caught a note on his table.

Curious as to what it was, he headed to the table and picked up the paper to read the note.

When he read it, he froze.

"Who placed this note here?" he asked himself.

He could not believe it.

The joy he once felt seemed to have vanished. His blood boiled. It must not be true!

He felt his ego shattering.

He then threw the present on the floor and stormed out of the room.

Alpha Ray came out to the crowd with disgust written all over his face.

A few people noticed it as they wondered what had gone wrong.

Alpha Ray looked at the DJ, sending chills down his spine that he was forced to stop the music immediately.

He then looked into the crowd to search for Edna.

Edna saw his face and wondered what was going wrong on his end that she had to excuse herself to go check up on him.

By then, everyone's attention was solely on them.

"Ray, is something wrong? You don't look okay." she said, looking into his eyes.

As she tried to touch his face, Alpha Ray quickly flung her hand away.

Everyone froze.

Edna was dumbfounded.

"I want you to tell me the truth. Nothing but the truth. Are you just a maid in the Duke mansion or the real daughter of the couple?" he asked, raising his voice so that everyone could hear him.

It took sometime before she could open her mouth to speak.

"I'm their maid. I grew up there." she said plainly. "Also, I never said I was the real daughter. You never asked me either." she continued.

Alpha Ray took a large speaker that was close to him and threw it to the floor, making everyone around him cautious as they stepped back in fear.

He felt like his ego had been tampered with.

"How dare you come into my life. You are just a maid. Never on my level. I have no business with a slave." he said, vibrating in anger.

If he had known that he was mated to a slave, he would never have dared.

"Ray..."

"Don't dare to mention my name again. Let that be the very last time." he shouted.

"Ray, I never lied to you about anything..you can't just abandon me for a little mistake I made , think about all the things between us."Edna pleaded silently.

"You still dare to call my name and tell me we share something, I am ashamed to call you my mate."Alpha Ray exclaimed at Edna who still stood their in shock unable to process everything. This was more than

The werewolves of Aman could not believe what was happening as they all looked at Edna with pity.

Alpha King Tyga and Luna Jessy didn't know what to make of the situation at hand. They never saw this coming.

How could Ray reject his mate?

"I hate you Edna and I REJECT YOU AS MY MATE! Now get out of this palace." he commanded her furiously in front of everyone.

"Ray,you can't do this to me." Edna tried to explain but it wasn't working, Alpha Prince Ray still had hatred in his eyes for Edna.

"Prince Ray!!!" He yelled at her making everyone whisper amoungst themselves, Luna Jessy couldn't hold it in anymore and rushed up to prince Ray in an effort to calm him down.

"Ray, can you at least discuss this in private with the route you are taking it's no difference from banishing her." Luna Jessy whispered to her son.

"I don't care." He responded but his voice wasn't as gentle as her's.

"Ray." Luna Jessy called again, feeling pity for Edna who would not stop crying.

"She is a stealer wolf, she fucking charmed me!!" Prince Ray yelled making everyone in the room frightened.

"She has to leave." Alpha king Tyga concluded and with his involvement it clearly meant Edna was being banished from her home.

"Alpha king…." Edna began but was stopped midway.

"Don't call me that…I never really liked you from the start." Alpha king Tyga said with disgust on his face.

Edna turned towards Theresa and her foster family but they all avoided her stares like they were all embarrassed. But Theresa stared directly at her with a devilish smirk.

Tears dripped out of Edna's eyes as she turned and walked out of the palace under the watch of everyone.

Alpha Ray walked into the house in anger. He didn't need her in his life anymore.

He then thought of how that letter had gotten into his room.

He was going to find out! It had better not be what he thought.

Edna POV

"Have you finally made a decision?"

"Yes, I want to become better than I ever was and come back. Everyone would pay for what they did to me dearly."

"That's the spirit Edna, and who is the first person on your list?"

"Alpha Prince Ray."
