Chapter 3

The next morning, I woke up in my bedroom. I sprang up to a sitting position as I could not remember coming to the bedroom.

"Leo? I was with him in the living room last night." I thought and sprinted to the living room.

I was however caught unaware by this unusual and pleasant aroma that was coming from the kitchen. I could pick Leo's scent from where I was.

"Could he be the one cooking?"

"Hey!" I leaned against the kitchen door and waved.

"Good morning, pretty. How do you feel?"

"Quite better. Thanks for yesterday. But can I ask a question?"

"Sure, go ahead." He said, turned off the gas and turned to me.

"I don't remember going to the bedroom last night...... What happened?"

"Oh! That? You wouldn't talk and I could not leave you that way. The way you slept on the vouch seemed not so comforting so I took you to your room." He said and I raised a brow.

"So where did you sleep?"

"In the living room, of course." He paused and noticed the reaction on my face.

"Hey, calm down. Don't think if me as such. I'm an Alpha, I can have as many ladies as I want. I don't take advantage of women."

He set the table; the meal was delicious. I had never tasted of such delicacy. I later opened up to him and told him I would be leaving the house the next morning.

"I should get going." He said with a gloomy look and left before I could say a word.

I was happy he left because I don't want to decide his fate either. But it feel like I had lost something crucial. I spent the rest of the day packing my things and reminiscing about the love Eric and I shared.

The next morning, I was about to grab the knob of the door and leave; I was holding fast to my travel bags when I picked a familiar scent. My brain refused to process the scent and my hand opened the door. It was Leo; he was leaning against his car, waiting for me. He smiled and waved at me.

At first, I thought I was hallucinating but it was real. I sprinted to him, looking around if nobody had seen him.

"Why are you here?" I asked, slightly above a whisper.

"I'm here for you, to take you to your new home."

"Please, you have to leave now. Nobody must see you." I said sharply and tried to put him in his car.

"Nobody? Why do you still care about what they think when you are no longer a part of them? I got you a better place, hop in the car."

And as if he commanded me, I slowly hopped into the car and he drove me far away from Growl Blue. Far away from my fear.

He pulled to a halt in front of a hotel. I knew he was a Prevert. No man would do all of this for free, he only wants to get down with me.

"I'm not going to be doing this but thanks for the ride. I'll sort myself from here" I said with a straight face and avoided eyes contact but he laughed.

"Doing what? I didn't ask you for anything. Let's go in, please." He said and alighted from the car.

I was scared to follow him in but it's at least better than where I was coming from. He got the room keys from the receptionist and helped me to the room.

"This is your new home...... For now." He added the words followed by my looks.

I had for a reason think he was going to take me to his home. Once again, I was relieved he doesn't have any love intention toward me.

"I've paid the bills for three months. You should have been able to settled down and find a job before then."

"Thank you. How can I ever repay your kindness?"

"By proving to Growl Blue Pack that you are not who they think you are" He made it off a joke but I held on tight to the words.

"I told you I came to your pack to work. I have to ho now, duty calls" He said and made to leave.

"Stop!" I walked to him and hugged him.

"I hope I would be able to repay you one day, just the way you wished."

He nodded and left without a word.

I dropped the small bag I was holding on the bed and went to the window. Opened it and shut my eyes to take in the gush of fresh and new air that hit my face; it was different from where I was coming from.

I prayed to the Moon Goddess for a new life and new beginning.

Leo's POV

I went back to Growl Blue Pack, finished with my business and went back to my pack, Golden Moon Pack. I could tell I felt the mate bond between Raya and I but she doesn't seem to want me at all. Though, I can't blame her but I wish we could give us a chance.

My brothers were waiting for my in the house when I got to the Pack, it took me by surprise because it has been a while we see each other. Particularly after they got married. 

Yes, they are my triplet, Grayson and Kane but they found their mate early and got married. Now that I found my mate, she is hurting and not ready to love.

"What a pleasant surprise to see you all here!" I said to my brothers and waved to their wives.

"Let me take a quick shower, I'll be done soon" I said and rushed to my room.

A few moments later, I joined them in the living room. We all had a lot to talk about and I also told them I found my mate.

"Can you believe I found out who my mate is?" I asked out of the blues and all eyes fell on me.

"Finally, the one who had been keeping you from getting married has arrived." Grayson's wife, Maya teased.

"I wish so. This time, it's different. I have to convince her to love me"
