Leo's POV

When Sierra told me about her, I was bothered for the wrong reasons. No doubt, when I was informed that Sierra was in the hospital I panicked, thinking the worst. When I saw her in a good condition and even calm, the relief was insurmountable.

But then I caught her scent, one which was mixed with that of a foreign wolf. The scent, no matter how faint, smelt of a pack, and a powerful one.

When Sierra talked to me, I could barely think, high off the initial adrenaline from thinking my sister was in danger, to the presence of a foreign wolf which she was asking me to take in.

I refused, adamantly before leaving.

Her scent was from a powerful pack, and I thought she must have run away for some rebellious petty reason. I couldn’t invite trouble into my pack because of that.

It took several days for Sierra to come barging into my office, tears in her eyes as she screamed angrily at me. I was confused at how different her attitude was and regret filled me as I found out.

Leo's POV If before the thought of her was difficult to get out of my head, now it was downright impossible. The interaction, if it could even be called such, was repetitive in my head, making me believe that yes, I had met her before. Why else would I look at her to see instant fear? Granted, perhaps I was giving myself too much credit and maybe none of my thoughts were actually a reality, but I couldn't help it as the image of her, however sudden, was stuck in my head.It took two more days for me to cave. Free of urgent work, I was strangely filled with the urge to go back. By the time I got home, the sun had already begun to dawn. It was probably time for dinner, I thought to myself. No doubt Sierra was waiting there and when I came in, she was going to give me a snarky reaction.True to my thoughts, I met Sierra in the dining room. Unlike what I had expected however, she hadn't noticed me the moment I walked in. She looked pensive, waiting for either something or someone. As

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   Finding a new job.

Isabella's POV The next day I woke up peacefully and found Treasure still asleep.A knock on my door brought me up. I opened the door to find it was Agathe, bringing food. She stayed over and we talked while I ate."How's Leo?" The words came out before I could even stop myself. "He's gone. Left late last night, or early in the morning. Silly workaholic." "Oh." I blinked, looking down. There was nothing wrong with him leaving. In fact, I should have been glad. "How's Sierra?""She went to meet someone." The way the older woman phrased the last word with a mischievous smile made me know that it went even deeper than it looked. "Are you fond of staying inside and doing nothing?""I-" I spoke, instantly wanting to defend myself. But no words came out, because the truth was...I wasn't. Despite the vast library, I found the passing time quite... boring. It was one of the reasons I wanted to get a job."Why don't you meet the pack, familiarise yourself with the place?"That made me ins

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   Trouble at work.

Isabella's POV Before I left, Anne gave me her number. I couldn't tell her that I didn't have a phone but lied that it was somewhere else. The work was supposed to begin next week. Today was a Thursday, which meant that I had only three days to go. I hesitated at the same time, thinking about what happens if Sierra comes back with a job.But two days had passed already, practically the end of the stipulated week and yet she hadn't said a thing.I pushed the thought away. It didn't matter, depending on someone was already risky. Whether or not Sierra said a thing, I already had a job in hand.So going to Agathe, I explained my plight and surprisingly, she accepted it."I'll talk to Felix to drive you around." She said, handing me a phone."You can use this in the meantime. His number is there, you can add your employer's number there too."As I looked at her, I whispered, "Thank you."She smiled gently, caressing my head "I told you I would take care of you, didn't I?"*************I

I waited for the impact only to have felt nothing. I opened my eyes and looked up.The man's hand was suspended in the air, held up by another one. A stronger hand. The scent hit me in waves. Confusion filled me at the instant feeling as questions popped up. It was someone. Someone I knew.I trailed to the hand stopping the customer, covered in suit. I trailed down to the arms until I reached the face.Leo?I blinked. It was not a dream. It was Leo who was there, blocking the unruly customer. He hadn't turned to me, focusing on the man. Oh! The customer.I turned to see the man carrying a completely different face. The anger was gone, filled with only pathetic fear. I could spy how his legs were trembling underneath the counter."Y-y-you you are-" the man spoke.I noticed that the noises had stopped as everyone was focused on the scene. I quickly turned towards the other side, where Lola was supposed to be to see her disappear into the door. I would have noted it was bad customer ser

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   A glimpse at Treasure.

Leo's POV As she stepped out of the café, I couldn’t help but look at her. Compared to the last time I had seen her, she was more comfortable in her own skin. Braver, as the events of the café showed. Rather than the dresses I had seen her in the few times we had met, she wore jeans and a grey long sleeved top, a change to the green café top she wore. Her hair was put up in a high bun.But her appearance there also begged the question; why was she working there?I came there as the owner to check on some of the buildings. It was surprising as I saw her as the girl I was saving. But why was she there?I recalled the short conversation in the living room. Sierra had offered to get her a job before. But I doubted Sierra knew of this place. So why was she here, working?Did Sierra even know of this?Perhaps it truly wasn’t in my place to ask, but technically she was my sister’s charge and by extension, mine. Moreover, the fact that it was the building I owned raised some problems. She m

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   Another job opportunity.

Isabella's POV I rushed into the house, shutting the door behind me. There was no noise behind me, until I heard the sound of an engine rumble, followed by the car driving away, until it couldn't reach my ears anymore.Giving a sigh, I looked around the empty space of the living room as dread filled me for what I knew I had to do.There were still probably a few reasons why I kept it from Sierra, the same reasons which I explained to Agathe for her to keep my job and secret safe. But it all fell apart at his words.Leo was right, no matter how much I wanted to resist it. I was going to hurt Sierra if I kept on going and although I still felt that she was going to be hurt once I told her, it was going to be far worse if she found out through her brother or worse, herself.Steeling my mind for what was to come, I first headed into my room to settle Treasure. After the outbreak of cries he had awoken, he was now playing happily in his crib. I looked into his eyes which were further squ

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   The human friend.

Isabella's POV In the following two days, Sierra didn't speak to me. Aside from normal greetings, she remained closed off.It was solely evident as on the weekend she stayed inside the house, another person likely taking the weekend shift in the bar. It felt even more awkward as on Saturday, I still had to leave to work in the cafe. It was equally difficult for me to meet her eyes before leaving. On Sunday, a day free for both of us, I barely saw her shadow. For the first time since, I truly felt lonely within the confines of the house. That night, I asked Anne for me to leave work in the afternoon, giving her only vague details. She accepted it, and I closed my eyes as I recalled what Sierra told me about the job the night she revealed it.Teaching. I was going to be a maths teacher. Sierra told me that I would learn the details later when I came. If I came, she had corrected before she left the dining room, not even bothering to eat anymore, leaving me with heaps of guilt.I felt

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   Troubled.

Isabella's POV Truthfully it was him in the flesh. I recognized him by his hair, his eyes. My sight trailed down to the chest I had bumped into the last time, making me frantically look back up whilst fighting a blush."How are you here?" Was the first thing to leave my lips. "Well, you see there's something called walking." His words inadvertently brought a chuckle from me. "If you're wondering why I'm here exactly, it's because I was let in. A friend of mine is a werewolf of this pack, you see."I nodded slightly."In fact, I was even hoping that I would catch you around here. You shouldn't have been so hard to find, with that pretty hair of yours, yet, you've managed to evade me."I fought the urge to smile at his compliment, something I hadn't heard in a long time."Maybe it's because I don't stay here," I said.He blinked in surprise. "You aren't a part of this pack?" I shrugged before shaking my head in negative. "I see...so you're a rogue. Makes sense." He nodded to himself.

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   Epilogue.

Isabella.Treasure played freely amongst other children. The happiness in his eyes made me smile from the window I watched him in.He had taken to them very well, free to reveal his claws at any time, compared to before. After what felt like minutes of watching, I settled back down onto the couch, filled with stacked books I was hoing to remove for the day.I settled into the dark couch where even before I left, it gave comfort. Now I needed that more than ever.It felt like before, yet everything was so different. Now Sierra came occasionally, no longer a resident of the pack yet still belonging to it. She had all the grace of a Luna. It was something I had known for a long time, yet pleased to see nonetheless - nevermind that I still beat her whenever it came to sparring. The biggest difference, however, was me.I had once come here as a guest, hiding myself away from the pack and not wanting to get attached. Now I was here as Leo's mate and the first and new Luna of the rogue pack.

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   Let’s go home.

Leo.I looked at Isabella who bore a stricken look. The disbelief in her was the same one I faced. This was the first time I had physically seen the person right in front of me, and as I looked at him, an open scar on his face with his hair in disarray and his eyes crazed, I knew what my answer would be.Turning to Isabella, I conveyed all I needed to, squeezing her hand lightly. She seemed to understand as she nodded. I let her go, walking toward the man who looked more pathetic as his hopeful eyes looked up at me.“I have no need to fight you, Darius, because there's nothing to fight with you about."I saw his expression morph into a frown and anger light up in his eyes in response, but I wasn't done.“Isabella is not a bargaining chip, nor an object to fight over or own. I doubt that you will understand that as you are now, but it's the truth. Scum like you deserve a terrible fate, and though I'm glad that Isabella is by my side now, I wished she didn't have to face someone like yo

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   The challenge.

Isabella.A chill went through me at the news. Looking at the rest of them filled with shock and plenty of questions, there was nothing we could do but wonder. How did they figure it out already? Was this part of their plan from the start? I saw a mix of emotions, none of them positive on everyone's face. It was only a light squeeze that made me turn to him.Leo's startlingly blue eyes couldn't cool down my tension, but it eased it a bit.And for a moment, knowing everything else, I only let one thought reverberate through my mind.Everything will be alright.…..Throughout the next few days, we had mobilized everybody possible. They had announced to the pack and the council of elders everything that had taken place, never leaving a single detail out. The pack was in an uproar, yet in a discussion of our allies, they felt mixed emotions.I looked around at the people around me. People who had once judged me in favor of the person who was now the biggest threat to the pack. When I sp

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   Darius and Lucy escaped.

Isabella.Together we left for the Alpha's quarters, only to see my parents.Surprise filled me as they also stood up.“What are you two doing here?” My mother demanded, eyeing both of us.“Please," Isabella pleaded.I stayed as she explained every word that she heard in the forest, and I could see every single one of their faces turned grave.“Isabella, are you sure that that was everything you heard?"I wanted to nod, but held back. There was still one thing I was holding back.“When they spoke, Lucy said that he needed her. Not just because of the rogues, but…”I knew that this was sure to hurt, no matter how much I steeled myself to say it was Leo's light squeeze that made me shut my eyes and finally let go.“Because she knew the truth behind his father's death."A shattering sound.“Melissa!”I whipped my head in surprise as I saw that Darius's mother was suddenly laying on the floor unconscious. The implications of my words were clear to everyone.I could only keep still, watch

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   Discovering the truth.

Leo.The moment she had frozen, I already sensed something was wrong. Two people, whom from the look on her face, she recognized were speaking.Closing my eyes, I heightened my senses to hear what they were saying. The first voice was a rough one that undoubtedly belonged to a man whilst the other was a woman.“You said that it'll work, but they haven't made any moves since.” Said the male one.“I mobilized all these rogues and I promised them domination. Do you think that it was easy?”Rogues? The mention of them.“Or better yet, do you think calming them down was? After they'd lost two people to your damned pack, you should be lucky that they haven't turned on you."“Shut the hell up.” The male voice spat out.“You can't get rid of me. Not when I'm the only one who knows the real secret behind your father's death. Not while you need me to appease the rogues while you mess up and no nothing. Not while I look like your dear–” The woman spat out.“–Shut up!” The words were so loud I wa

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   Our home.

Isabella. The next morning was far from normal. The only way it could have been described was cold.Neither of my parents were speaking to me, not even as I prepared breakfast earlier in the morning as an appeasement. They avoided my gaze as much as they could, never speaking a word.It hurt, the silent waves of disappointment that ebbed out of them. I braced through it however.Even little Treasure had noticed it.“Where's daddy?” He whispered to me. I noticed that my parents had stopped eating, either hearing or rightly assuming Treasure words.I attempted to smile at him. “He's not here, but we can visit him if you'd like,” I spoke invitingly. Before Treasure could say a word, I heard my mother's voice for the first time that morning.“Treasure dear, why don't you follow us to the pack gardens? There are plenty of beautiful animals there.”I stiffened at her passive aggressive nature. Yet when I looked at Treasure's imploring eyes which silently asked me for what to do, I gave a sl

  • Mated to the Rogue Alpha   Welcome to the pack.

Leo.The pain Isabella bore on her face made me want to hold her, yet those doubts and fears I thought I had rid myself of stopped me short, leaving me helpless and hollow. The night was silent and cold. Peaceful. It was a complete contrast to the violence that had occurred in what should have been less than 20 minutes ago.The pain from the hands that choked me still ached every time I swallowed, yet I kept silent.I almost flinched when I felt the brush of a hand, only to relax as there was only one person who could do that. I let her wrap her hand around mine, sighing at the guilty pleasure of her touch. When I turned to look at her again, all the warmth I gained drained away. Her eyes glistened with tears even as she stared stonily at the distance. She was devastated. From her parents' reaction to the way it all came crashing down.I vaguely realized that she was trying to do that. Comfort me. In turn, I held her closer, hoping that she gained a bit of warmth as well. When Connor

Goodnight.” He turned to Leo and oblivious to the tension in the air, told Leo. “Goodnight, daddy.” I heard the slight suck of breath from one of my parents, but I focused solely on my son, nudging him forward.“Go on then," I said, as he yawned before moving up the stairs.I watched him carefully until I was sure that he was out of sight and earshot. The sound of his guest room door shutting made me let out a breath of relief.I shouldn't have let my guard down.It happened instantly. One minute, we were all sitting on the table and in a flash, a person pinned Leo to the wall.“Dad!” I called out, panic filling me as I stood up, speeding across the room.My father was on his full feet, his hands wrapped around Leo's neck. Goddess! He was choking him!Leo remained still. Whether he was still in shock
