Carter, Ajax and a few Blue moon pack warriors are running in the direction of the human city based on the information given by their warriors who were assigned to follow Joshua. After one hour, when they came a little closer to their destination, Carter's wolf stopped suddenly and began to sniff the air.

'What is it Alpha? Did you catch something? ' Ajax asked while coming to his Alpha's side.

'Blood mixed with that metallic scent. Can't you smell it?' Carter asked Ajax's wolf.

Ajax and all the warriors began to sniff the air. They couldn't sense anything.

'My apologies Alpha, but I can smell only the wood and the sand. Nothing else' Ajax replied to which the others agreed to.

But Carter can sense it. This scent is faint, but it is there.

'You stay here. I will go and check if there is something. We have been running for a while now. Our wolves need to rest for a few minutes. Wait here ' he instructed his Beta and followed his nose.
