Meeting with the pack

The Demini pack elders had to hold the meeting, to talk about having a new Alpha, since king Arthur is badly wounded.

They continued to murmur as they gather in the palace.

"We should just tell him what we think, and not mince words, we need to crown another person the Alpha, since he doesn't have a son". One of the elders pointed out, while another hushed him.

"Don't say it that way, you will break the heart of the Queen, and she is such a good Luna, she is just not fated to have a child of her own, but she treats us all well".

The first elder didn't like the others tone.

"Are you saying I am unappreciative? The fact that she treats us well isn't the point, the point is that the Blackmoon pack will take this opportunity to attack us, we need another leader as soon as possible".

He was about to get a response from yet another elder, when they heard a deep Baritone voice clears as the long mahogany door open to reveal king Arthur limping towards them.

He was assisted by his Queen, who would never show up to any gathering unattended, even if she is in her room, she would still represent an epitome of beauty, with her shiny brown hair and large green eyes that changes to a fierce amber, whenever she wants to shape shift.

Her dress, made from the purest of silk with a matching velvet gloves and jewelry carved out of gold and embedded sapphire stones. Around her neck, was a native emerald necklace, with colours matching her eyes.

"Please sit here". She says to him, but no matter how weak king Arthur feels, he would never show such weakness in front of his subjects.

He raised his head, and took a good look at all of them one after the other, which is his usual style, before he starts making his speech.

He knows why they have come, and with his friend's encouragement, he is going to tell the world, the truth, no matter how much it would hurt his Luna.

"I know why you are all here, to seek for a new Alpha, and just as the prophesy have said, that a great king will come from my loins, and up until now, you haven't seen him, that is because, my heir, was not borne to me by Queen Marinara". As soon as he said that, the entire room lit up with murmurs from the elders, they are not sure if they quite understand him. His best friend Zeta Luther wanted to speak, but he stopped him with his hands raised.

I got this". He whispers, but he didn't see what was coming to him, as his Luna kept looking at him, wondering what he was saying.

She doesn't know if he is just saying those things to buy more time, or he is actually saying, that he has an heir outside.

One of the elders was bold enough to speak up.

"If we understand well, the king is saying he has a son, borne to him by another woman? The king looked at his wife before answering, for he could see that her eyes were already changing to fierce Gold, but she tried keeping it all in, by closing her eyes, making her lashes clap together, she swallowed hard, then she sighs, before walking away from the meeting.

King Arthur followed her with his eyes, before looking back at his subjects.

"You will all hear from me later, but right now, I have a more pressing issue to handle". He dismissed them with a raise of the hand, but his best friend Zeta Luther remained.

"What do you plan to do now? He asked him, for they don't even know where the boy is".

"I have to go to Submarine to find Mogana, she should be able to help me". He replies, but his friend looked even shocked.

"What do you mean by that? Mogana is a witch, and we wolves have no relationship with witches, why would you want to visit her, we could always find your son, with the help of our sorcerer". Arthur didn't know how to break the news to his best friend, but he knows there was no way he would hid it anymore, he had hidden it for too long.

"Mogana is the mother of my son". The revelation was not only heard by Luther, Marinara also heard it, this time, she couldn't just stay quiet, she couldn't keep it all in. She howled in pain, her husband had broken her heart, and the heart of the pack.

After the war amongst witches, wolves and humans, it was discovered that the real enemies are the humans, so the witches lived among the wolves, in harmony, they had no issues, they shared things in common, and helped each other in different ways, until something happened, a witch living among the wolves fell inlove with a human, whose number one priority was to hunt wolves for tearing his family apart, the witch, shared details with this human, who in return killed her and the wolves he could get, ever since then, the wolves banned the witches to stay on their own, never to be seen close to wolves again. No wolf was ever allowed to be seen with a witch let alone to have anything to do with them, but sadly now, at that time, before king Arthur found his mate, he was having a mind blowing sexual affair with young witch Mogana, who is now the most powerful witch after the death of her mother.

The room was silent for what seem like forever, before Queen Marinara spoke up, when she opened her eyes.

"You slept with a witch? She was asking.

"That was before I met you, she was my lover, I didn't even know she was with child, she told me about being with child on the day their banishment was announced, and I thought she would get rid of the child, since we would no longer be together, but she didn't".

Queen Marinara was quiet again, biting her fingers thoughtful, before asking again.

"If you have not been seeing her behind my back, and breaking the pack rules, how then did you know she kept the baby, how did you know she had a son?

"She visited me in a dream. You know I don't dream, but if I dream, then it should be taken seriously. She says I should come to her, and now I have to, no matter how sick and wounded I am, I must see her". The Queen didn't have anymore question, with hands akimbo, she shook her head and walked away, leaving Arthur and Luther to do their things.
