ATHENA'S POV
“Lock her in!” The Alpha’s voice came aloud to the men who held me bound. I weep as I am cast into the dungeon. It was a dark place and it was empty. Thank goddess for the holes in the wall through which light from outside reflected through. It would have been complete darkness in here. I crawled around as I could still feel the sharp pain in my back. It aches. My wolf was quiet. A terrible being. Only helps in the most awkward situation. I hadn’t recovered fully. I couldn’t blame Lyra or the other lady, they couldn’t have done anything. He was the Alpha and his words were final. I sat on the ground and wept bitterly. I thought my suffering had come to an end. I just got myself into another. I was lone for days and felt like ending my life with my bare hands. But I couldn’t. The air was polluted and I felt nauseated. “How do I survive this hell?” I pondered. Just while I sat there in isolation, I went deep into thought. The thoughts of my baby sister invaded my mind and tears rolled down my eyes. I remember that fateful night. It was serene, I recall. My hometown, that night. The streets was at peace. Mother was already asleep and Father was on a call and seem to be in a hot argument with the person on the phone. I was just in front of the house with my baby sister after I had patted my brother to sleep inside. She loved to sit outside and watch the stars so I did that every night with her. It makes her fall asleep. She tried calling the attention of Father to a beautiful single star in the sky but he was occupied with the call and didn’t respond. “Hey, I’m here. Dad would join us when he is done, alright? I said softly as I played with her cute little hands. If only I knew the night would end badly, I would have taken her inside. I blame myself sometimes for allowing her stay up late. While we were staring at the starry sky, an awkward silence hovered the air. The crickets stopped chirping and it was like everything stood still Even Father noticed and he stopped and looked back at us. His nose got bigger like he was trying to catch a scent. It happened in a flash. A huge wolf flew across, snatching my sister from my hands. It held her in its mouth. I was still a teenager and I never thought of transforming. I stood up immediately to defend myself. Father taught us a few moves and I was ready to put them to use. My sister cried out as she hangs downwards from the wolf’s big teeth. Before I knew it, I saw another wolf attacked my father pulling him into the woods. “Please don’t hurt her,” I said, out of fear. The wolf didn’t think twice. He stared at me and in the blink of an eye, he threw my sister into the air and opened his mouth wide to catch her. He tore her to pieces right in front of me “Nooooooooooooo!” I screamed. I couldn’t do anything. I stared in fright as he tore my sister’s body in bits and ate her flesh. I lost myself in that spot and everything became dark and bloody. I couldn’t watch the sight. I can’t even recognize her anymore. Apparently, everywhere was raided and I could hear screams of pain and agony from all over. Blood splashed and stained the buildings and street floors. I stood still. My mother rushed out and seeing the almost unrecognized structure of her daughter lying in front of the wolf, she screamed and fell on her knees. I didn’t understand one thing. “Why the wolf stood in front of her body and didn’t move afterwards?” It stood there and stared at us like it was expecting us to attack. Well, Mother later did. After falling on her knees, she transformed and snarled at the wolf. It stepped back and I saw mother attack it. They rolled down the grass field in front of the house. My body still couldn’t move like I was paralyzed. I just stood. A massive shock, you would call it. I Just watched my sister murdered in cold blood. I could feel blood rushing through my veins as I stood there but I still didn’t move. My eyes were heavy and it was difficult to look to the side. Someone hit me. “Get inside, Athena,” the lady shouted. She lived close to our house. She dragged me as I didn’t answer and locked the door behind her. It was then I fall to the ground and hit my head on the floorboard. As I dive into unconsciousness, I could still hear the screams from outside but this time around, they had become feint. And before I know it, I am in motion. All I could hear was “Don’t stop,” I was someone’s shoulder who I believed was my father, the insignia on his cloth came in my line of sight as I opened my eyes slightly as he ran. Mother was beside him and my younger brother kept crying as Mother held his hands and her legs were moving fast. I don’t know where we were heading to but I figured Father and Mother were able to get out of the house safely from the werewolf But where were being followed or chased? That I don’t know. I saw another figure running beside Mother. It must be our neighbor. The one who dragged from the horrific scene outside then. She was also on the run with us. “I think they are onto us, Jim,” I heard her say to my father. “We can make it. Just keep going.” “I’d distract them. You guys go on ahead,” she said. “No, don’t,” Father warned but I saw her turned into a wolf and turned back. She sacrificed herself to save us. “Athena! Athena!! Athena!!!” “Wake up!” a voice echoed in my ears, snapping me out of my thoughts. I opened my eyes to find out I was still in the dungeon But my attention caught something else. The owner of the voice was standing right in from me. “It can’t be. No! How did you……….”TRISTAN “I have told you this several times. Don't beat about the bush whenever I ask you a question.”“You answer me straight or get lost!” I voiced out with all seriousness.“I was at the garden getting rid of some weeds with Loveth, my maid,” She answered.I scoffed.I unveiled the towel which I used to cover the pool of blood and she screamed all of a sudden.“Where did this come from, Tristan?” I looked at her with a side eye and hissed. “If you were here when you were supposed to be, do you think you won't hear my voice or screams at all?” She shook her head in agreement.“I'm sorry, my love. I didn't realize you needed me,” She added. That statement angered me. I became infuriated.Only if I could find a permanent solution to this dilemma of mine!I wouldn't have any need for pity.Athena.Her name once again rang in my ear.Damian would pay for this. He won't get away with what he did.I scoffed once more. I am very sure he is close to dead right now only if his pack doctor
DEREK“Someone saw us, Derek!!!” The voice of Lyra rented the air as I hurriedly put on my clothes. The sudden movement of the intruder made me jump up to my feet.“He mustn't get away!” Lyra echoed in my ears as I dashed out of the room.I followed after the figure.I had to catch up with him. If not, I would be damned.Tristan must never hear of this. My death won't be a good one if that happens. What am I supposed to say? How am I supposed to explain to everyone that I had always been sleeping with the Luna of the pack all these while in the disguise of being her closest friend? However, nobody knows that. We had been on it secretly for months and doing it without suspicion. He was pretty fast but I knew he was going to tire out soon.I kept running after him and on a hopeful trial, I bounced on him.“Urghh,” he screamed our as my claws scratched his skin.He fell to the ground that instant and I meediately climbed on top of him.“Perry?” “What the heck are you doing here?” I sho
LYRA “She escaped?"“Arghhhh. If only you would have allowed me kill that girl.”“But no, you just insist that we keep her all because of some nonsense about healing powers,” I said to Tristan who obviously wasn't paying attention to my rants.I was angry and pained.“What do I know she will do now?”“That girl could bring her people to come and attack us!”“We have tonattack before it's too late,” I added.Tristan didn't even respond to me. He walked out of the room with the blood drink in his hands.Don't they know we have to act fast? How long is he going to keep wasting time? There is no way that girl has any healing powers.I have to see that person before I run mad on this case.If Tristan won't do something about this Athena, I will!“Hello, where are you?” I said over the phone.“Know what, you don't even need to answer that. Let's meet at our usual spot. I have something important I need you to handle, baby,” I said and hung up the call immediately.Just as I was about to
DAMIANThe last thing I remember was saving Athena from Tristan and his assistant. But all that seem odd now that I even struggle to open my eyes. The whole place was dark and I couldn't see a thing. I tried moving my hands hoping I would touch Athena but there was nothing. Just me alone. It was as though my eyes were glued to each other and as for my mouth, words became heavy for me to utter.A lot of questions rolled through my head that instant. What if Athena was already taken? What If I was actually dead and this is just a midpoint between life and death? What if the pack was I trouble and that animal has come to take them under captive lest they give in to his authority? What if?I tried to call Athena but nothing came forth.I was on the verge of giving up when I suddenly heard this calm soft voice, “Damian.”“Damian,” the voice called out again. And surprisingly, this energy came on me and I could feel my strength once again.I could now open ny eyes and right there, I saw Ath
TRISTAN'S POVI wore my clothes that instant. Are my ears hearing wrong? How did she escape? The dungeon. No one escapes the dungeon.Could it be that idiot who calls himself an Alpha?I stepped out of the room in haste and Derek stood there, his face all frowned and roaring the need for violence.“Derek, what is this I am hearing?” “I just got the news, my Lord,” he said.“My Lord, Athena is no longer in the dungeon. She escaped but she wasn't alone,” Derek spoke.“Where the heck is Jarvis?”“Isn't he suppose to be on guard at the dungeon? How did all of this happen? I raised my voice.“Just regaining consciousness. They knocked him out,” he answered.“I suspect they made him forget everything cause he doesn't even know where he is,” Derek explained. We got to the dungeon and I met Jarvis sitting sitting on the floor looking comfiused.“I see. Damian!! that dude! He was here.”“Let's go, Derek, they couldnt have gone far,” I told Derek as we head into the woods together.I sniffed
LYRA I kept tapping my feet on the ground as I watched him walk of the Alpha's chambers. I turned to Tristan. “So he is her mater or what?” “I don't care. She is not leaving my vicinity. She belongs to me until I see no use for her!” He answered angrily. “But don't you think he would come back with his people to fight us?” “And I will be ready for him,” he replied in a haste. All my plans to get rid of this Athena keeps getting ruined. I just pray She dies in the dungeon she is locked that is if she is not dead already. “My love. Come let me relieve you of this stress and rage. Don't mind that fool. He thinks he can just come to our territory and do as he likes,” I said to him as I kept caressing his chest. He looked at me and smacked his lips. “You really know what I need right now. Take me away, my sexy wife,” he smacked his lips. Tristan was a beast not only in action but also on bed. This is one reason I would never allow any Omega take him from me. He handl
