LYRA'S POV
I stare in pity at the poor girl. She is severely injured and bruised in different body parts. Who would do something like this? “Hurry up. We have to take her to the pack clinic right away,” I told Josh, a warrior wolf. I watch as he lifts her gently, and we begin hurrying steadily but fast. As we clear the woods, I break off from them. “You guys go on ahead. I will meet you later,” I tell them. I head to the mansion and my brother's office. I enter without knocking. “Lyra, I have told you several times to always knock before entering,” he says without lifting his head from the papers he was looking at. “I don't want to,” I retort. “One of these days, I won't take it lightly with you when you do so,” he replied. “I doubt it,” I answered as I flopped down on one of the chairs facing him and placed my feet on his desk. He sighs at my antics before looking up. Tristan Celeste, my very own stubborn brother. Alpha of the Celeste pack. “Shouldn't you be busy right now? What do you want now?” he demands. He was already tired of my crap as he places his hands on his forehead. “Well, I brought in someone. We found her half-dead. She is with us now,” I answered. “You still need to question her to make sure she isn't a threat to us before we decide to take her in fully but I leave that to you. Do your thing,” he instructed. “Yes, sir.” I get up to give him a mock salute before walking away. There was something strange about her scent though. She smells different from us. Something not wolf-like, not human also. I kept that from my brother, of course. I am not sure he would take that lightly if he found out I brought in a strange being into the pack. As the Alpha, he takes matters like that very seriously. I dare not go against him nor his commands despite being my brother. He is like a god we all worship. A lot of things he has sacrificed for this pack. For that reason, I respect and adore him so much. “I guess I'd just keep that information to myself and find out who exactly she is,” I said to myself. ATHENA I woke up to the sound of a beeping machine, bright lights in the room nearly blinding me as I tried to make sense of where I was. “Where am I?” I wondered. “Did they take me back to Mother and Father? Am I back at Crystal Moon pack house? It can't be. I shouldn't be alive if that was the case. I took a good look around and it happened that I was in some sort of clinic. I could see sickbeds all around the room and tools that resembled first aid kits and medical equipment. “You are awake,” a voice came long from beside me. I look over to see two women standing at my bedside. One is the woman who now appeared to be the young lad I saw earlier, who had saved me. The voice that asked the question belonged to the other woman. “I am Sasha the healer. I have been watching over your health,” she introduces herself. “What happened…. Ho… How long have…I……” I break off to clear my throat. My voice is feint and it happened that I can't speak well. “Don't strain yourself; your vocal cords are bruised,” Sasha says. “Your whole body is still in its recovery phase. You still need rest. I am amazed you managed to hold on that long,” she commented. “This is Lyra,” she gestures to the other woman. “She is the one who saved you and brought you to the clinic.” “Thank you,” I voiced out. “Now tell us what your name is and where you are from,” Lyra asked. “Athena. My name is Athena. I am from the Crystal Moon pack. I was…..” I spoke weakly. “I knew it. What are you doing here? Who did this to you?” she interrupted. I paused. I have to rethink this. Whatever I say next might determine what these strange people will do to me. I can't tell them I was sent away. I can’t tell them about my shift. I can’t tell them I killed someone! “How do I tell them I have no control over my werewolf?” “If I tell them I was sent out by my parents and rejected by the pack that would only make me look like a rebel?” I could remember the word of my father then “No pack looks upon a rebel werewolf with mercy!” he reiterated. That night was when I first raised my voice at him. He sat me down and taught me a few things about the werewolf community. From Lyra's reply, she already knew I was from the Crystal Moon pack so she must have some notion in her head but I can't say what it is. I thought for a minute what I could say but there was no idea after all. “Athena. You are not responding. Who did this to you and why?” Catherine asked again, her gaze focused on me. I became scared. “Is your pack responsible for this?” she asked. “Are you a cast out? She asked further but I looked away. “Please where am I?” I asked, my face turned away from her. “Athena. You are in the Celeste pack territory,” Sasha the healer muttered. “Celeste?” No! It can’t be. I am forbidden to be here. That is the rival pack of the Crystal Moon. Those two hated themselves even the legends have it that they have been enemies from long ago. “How am I supposed to tell them what happened? That would only stir up something I can't control. They might even kill me. “The Alpha has already been informed of your presence. We just need to know who did this to you and why. Your stay would be questioned so……” Sasha the healer explained. Oh my God. Their Alpha already knows I am here. What would I say? My mind raced. My heartbeat increased and I began to breathe heavily. “I think she is going into shock!” Sasha said. “Anna!” A strange scent rented the air. And suddenly I heard a thick voice. “Is that her?” It's Alpha Tristan in the room. Lyra whispered. My heart skipped a beat. “Talk,” he shouted!ATHENA'S POV“Lock her in!” The Alpha’s voice came aloud to the men who held me bound. I weep as I am cast into the dungeon. It was a dark place and it was empty. Thank goddess for the holes in the wall through which light from outside reflected through. It would have been complete darkness in here. I crawled around as I could still feel the sharp pain in my back. It aches. My wolf was quiet. A terrible being. Only helps in the most awkward situation. I hadn’t recovered fully. I couldn’t blame Lyra or the other lady, they couldn’t have done anything. He was the Alpha and his words were final. I sat on the ground and wept bitterly. I thought my suffering had come to an end. I just got myself into another. I was lone for days and felt like ending my life with my bare hands. But I couldn’t. The air was polluted and I felt nauseated. “How do I survive this hell?” I pondered. Just while I sat there in isolation, I went deep into thought. The thoughts of my baby sister
TRISTAN’S POV “You disgust me, Athena!” Her eyes became teary at the sound of my voice. I can’t deny the fact that I desired her but for that moment, I didn’t want her anymore. She hailed from a pack I had so much hatred for. She can’t even be trusted. For all I know, she might be a spy sne t to infiltrate my pack or worse. My pack found her wandering in the woods from nowhere, bruised and left to die. Perhaps she was a cast away or a forbidden one. I can’t allow my pack see me as a weak Alpha to take her in just like that. Never, I won't allow that! This is how I can prove myself to them the more. Even my Luna, Lyra, confirms it. Athena can’t be trusted. “Yes, I brought her out of the dungeon but that was only because of how I felt,” She must have charmed me. Perhaps, a hidden trait she possess. I won’t allow her have her way with me. Every wolf was present that day with me. We were all gathered at the Dome as they all longed to hear my public announcement. I was to
DAMIAN'S POV“Who is she?” “Why is she appearing my dreams?”“Why?”“You need to stop!”I said to my wolf. I don’t know who this person is. “Why do you keep bringing flashes of her to my head?”Stop It.I struggled with my wolf as I rolled on the floor. The hairs on my skin grew longer and thicker. My emotions were heightened.I felt active all of a sudden and I felt this pull to the strange girl appearing in my dreams. She looked familiar but I didn’t even want to know who she was.I had a lot in my head. It was the mating ceremony of the Crystal Moon pack.I couldn’t pick a mate and these visions and dreams have been disturbing me even before then.As the Alpha, it would only tag me as weak. I cant afford to look like that in front of my pack. But what can I do? These visions keep messing with my sanity every single time.I was always in dispute with my wolf. An unusual incident.“Who would reason with me?” “That a whole Alpha is having troubles with his wolf all because of a dre
ATHENA I found myself trapped. Trapped in that space, that awkward moment qhe it dawned on you that you have just made a grave mistake. My eyes widened in fright and shock after I beheld the blood of the maiden on the floor and on my skin. “Are you okay???” I tried to console her. “Please let me…..” I stuttered, trying to offer to help nurse her wounds as she bled profusely. She didn't respond. Instead she crawled her way from the room mumbling at me what I figure to be curse words. She had every right to so I wouldn't stop her. “What the heck have we done?” I shouted at my wolf who had gone back to hiding after causing so much damage. How am I supposed to fix this? Before I moved an inch from where I stood, the door creaked open revealing the very image of someone I never expected to see. Not even in a hundred years as I have made up my mind never to set my foot there. It was Damian, the Alpha of my origin pack. The shock in my eyes when I saw him, I wonder what he was
ATHENAI sat in the garden just right outside my quarters as I pondered on Damian's visit and words.“I…..this same me, becoming Alpha Damian's mate?”“Am I dreaming or Is this the universe cracking another joke on my life?”Cause its fond of that. First, ny parents suddenly become my enemies, my whole pack turned their backs against me and now I am in a new pack where I am not loved and I stand the chance of being killed. His proposal wasn't all I had to think of but how my wolf suddenly links up with his, with so much ease surprises me.Before he left, he whispered through the mind link, “I will be nearby when you are done thinking about it. I am not leaving here without you.”This makes me imagine how he was able to find me.“So you are here?” I heard a voice from behind all of a sudden. The voice gave me a wide jump out of my deep thoughts and I mumbled in response, “Hmm?”“You can't be here, Athena. The Luna sent the Scenters to fetch you,” Vega, another Omega in the pack said.
LYRAStupid set of people!Even after everything I told about that witch who claims to be an angel. They still wouldn't send her way from here.I shook my head in disappointment.Even Elder Roy. That idiot I gave my body to, so as to gain grounds in the council decision still did the opposite of everything I agreed with him.“Such bulshitl!!!” I raised my voice in anger as I paced around my room alone. When Tristan comes back from his hunt, I would tell him everything.Every single thing.I no longer care why he geeks geeks girl should stay. She needs to leave!“Vega!!!” I called out.“Where is it?” I asked.“I couldn't find it. Alpha Tristan wouldn't so happy when he finds out about this, my Luna?”“Oh…you suddenly taking her side now, uhn? She has gotten to you too the way she got to Tristan?” I lashed at her.“No, my Luna. I just think its dangerous that we trying make her stay here a living hell,” she replied.“How dare you? Whose side are you really on…that stranger or your Luna?
ATHENAI pant.Standing in front of the mirror, I have just had the most unsettling conversation with Damian……who had again appeared out of nowhere.I still wonder how he manages to snuck in and out of the pack territory without alerting anyone. Not even the Scenters are able to manage his scent, around. Are they dumb or is Damian just too smart for them to detect?Well, he is an Alpha. What more was I expecting? He has special abilities that would take us years to master.I was just preparing my mind to meet that hell of a being called Tristan after telling Vega of the cruel punishment that was given to me by the elders. It was about time I voice out to him. I knkw all he wants from me and I wouldn't allow myself to be used.It was then I felt this whooshing sound and voice in my head, asking me, “What are you still doing here?”“What are you doing here again, Damian? I told you to leave me. I want nothing to do with you.”“Leave before anyone sees you here again,” I said.“I am not
I was shocked. Not exactly what I was expecting to see. What is a Sorcerer seed doing on the Luna's garden? If I remember my lessons well from the pack, they are only grown and used by the Shaman.Unless…Hmmm…“What did you do to me?” The wolf guard screamed and groaned in pain.“Nothing. I have nothing to do with this,” I defended myself. He kept scratching his body, jumping everywhere. “How do I relieve you of this?” I said in a loud tone.“Get the Luna, you bitch,” He responded harshly. So I am still a bitch for trying to help? How reasonable!I paused and gave him this dead stare. If I was heartless, I wouldn't move move inch and just leave him to die in his pains.“We should do that! Leave him,” my wolf suggested out of nowhere. “I won't. That would only make their opinions about me true,” I responded.I hurriedly walk to Lyra’s chambers and there between I heard Vega's voice from outside. It sounded like she was in a heated conversation with Lyra.“My Luna, that was raw seeds.
