Chapter 45 A GLIMPSE OF HOPE

SUZIE'S POV

"Let's go check up on the cat," Elliot beamed as he stood in front of me.

I blinked at him as I slowly processed his words. School had ended and I was slowly packing up my books and getting ready to leave the school premises. The quadruplets were still occupied with work, so I was going to walk home alone today.

Or so I thought.

I sighed as my eyes drifted back to my books. "Sure, why not?"

Elliot grinned at me and waited for me to finish up with what I was doing. I figured there was no use avoiding Elliot and he seemed like a nice person. It also helped that I felt comfortable around him, that way it didn't feel weird for me.

I picked up my bag, slinging it over my shoulder and we began to exit the classroom.

"Where did you keep the cat by the way?" I quizzed as we slipped out of the school building.

"Oh, yeah, I did tell you I'll handle the cat yesterday," Elliot chuckled. "Follow me, I'll show you."
