Chapter 39 MY FATHER OUT OF MY LIFE

SUZIE'S POV

My eyes cracked open and my body felt like it has merged with the bed beneath me. It felt like I had been beaten with bricks. I tried to move my hand, but my sore muscles restricted me from moving it to far. I groaned and tried to roll to my side, but the same soreness hit me like a maelstrom.

I recoiled, each muscle in my body feeling like it was on fire. I heard the door to my room crack open, but I could not lift a muscle. Hurried footsteps echoed through the marble floor, and the moment I opened my eyes, I saw Roy standing right over me.

"Suzie? Are you alright?" He asked as concern bathed his features.

I opened my mouth to speak, but my voice failed me. A single croak left my lips and I grabbed a hold of my throat in shock. What happened to my voice?

"Shit," Roy cursed.

More footsteps filled my ears and within the blink of an eye, all brothers were standing right in front of me.

"She doesn't look very good, she's even lost her voice," Roy said.
