Chapter 31 HOW DO I FEEL ABOUT THEM?

SUZIE'S POV

The sound of a soft beep that repeated periodically roused me back to consciousness. My heavy eyelids lifted slowly and I froze as my eyes landed on a white ceiling.

Where was I?

I looked around and I saw white, sterile walls. To my left was a small machine that beeped repeatedly. It had numbers ranging from a hundred, to two hundred. My body felt heavy, like I had been hit by a truck. I looked down at myself and saw that I was laying down a bed, with white sheets covering me.

It took a while, but everything finally registered in my head. I was in a hospital. But why was I here?

I racked my brain for answers, but I got none. I pushed myself up from the bed into a sitting position, and my head began to throb. I groaned, holding my head as the pain rang through it.

The door to the small room opened and a man, who looked like he was in his early thirties walked in. He wore a lab coat and a big smile as he walked up to me.
