BLAIR'S POV
I was fuming.
My whole body was filled with pent up anger and to make things worse, there was nothing I could do to quell it. I marched out of the small building that was only reserved for staff, and began to walk down the dusty, deserted road.
It made me enraged that my own brothers, who lover Suzie were acting so docile, when we can all feel the mate bond being tempered with. How could they not be on edge? Multiple thoughts and scenarios played lot in my head.
I often wondered, or imagined that the dark king had already had his way with Suzie. After all, she was in his territory. He had been wanting her for so long and there was nothing stopping him from ravishing her the way he wants.
The thought enraged me and I would often train, to let out my pent up anger. But now, I could not take it anymore. I needed to do something, anything, but now could I possibly find the dark kingdom? Suzie was only able to find it easily, because the dar
ELLIOT'S POVThe shock on their faces was well expected. The way they'd eyes roamed my body showed me just now much they couldn't believe my words. Asher scoffed, shaking his head as he took my features in. He walked up to me, looking at my shoulder, my hands and all the spots I jas suffered ulcerations."You're lying. There is no way this incurable disease just got cured immediately,"Asher shook his head.I raised my hands up, to give him a clearer view of my arms."Do you believe me now?""Take off your shirt,"Blair said, folding his arms as he walked up to me.I sighed, peeling my shirt off. They eyes roamed my entire bare skin and their eyes went wider as seconds passed by. I turned around, letting them see every nook and cranny of my body, in hopes that they would believe, but once I turned to look at them, they still had skeptism plastered on their faces."There is no way, there's no way. You're lying,"Felix sp
SUZIE'S POVI shifted on the small bed, my eyes turning to the empty tray of food that lay on the floor beside me. The cell has become more inhabitable after Carl and I had lied to the dark king about me being sick.I was unsure about Carl's plan, but now that it has happened, I couldn't thank him enough. Aside from the antidote being given to my people, the dark king made life a bit easier for me.He provided me with everything I needed to feel comfortable and at home. A bed, proper good, a table and some blankets to shield me from the cold. I had to pretend and fake my illness, and even after two days, the dark king had not seen through my facade. The sound of the cell bars cracking up, made me sit up on the bed. A guard walked in, and slid a large tray of food, right in front of the bed. He walked out, and I gazed at the tray filled with mouth watering delicacies. When the dark king originally started sending me proper meals, I told myself I wou
SUZIE'S POVI could feel his lathe handsz exploring the planes of my back. They felt rough, and I could feel them so vividly through the thin fabric of the clothing I wore. Goose bumps ignited on my skin, as his body pressed mine.He had this look of pleasure, as a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. His free hand caressed my cheeks, and he tilted my chin, making our eyes meet. His grin sent a shiver down my spine, and I began to struggle against his firm grip. But for some reason, my strength was nowhere to be found.I tried, and tried, but it felt like I was pushing against a brick wall. The dark king chuckle, and his eyes were filled with delight, like he was relishing in my struggle."I will save your energy if I were you,"he chuckled, "I know how strong you are, so I built this cage, especially for you. It has special bars, that make you incapable of using your powers."His words hit me like a blow to the chin, and my shock sl
CARL'S POVI slid my hands in my pocket as I approached the back of the palace where the dungeon was located. I walked over the soft grass, my mind causally drifting tie Elliot. Ever since I had left the light kingdom, he was the only thing on my mind.If I decided to think of something else, he would be thete evading my thoughts.I could remember his face, and how handsome he looked. It took my breath away, but I did not show him how much I missed him. I could not bring myself to become attached to him, just like I was in the past.I let out a sigh, reminiscing the short time we had spent together in the past. One of my first mission the dark king assigned to me, was to infiltrate the light kingdom, and obtain information from the prince. The dark mind suspected that Suzie was related to royalty, and he needed me to confirm. He also wanted me to assassinate the prince, but that plan went side ways. The moment I set eyes on Elliot, the mate
SUZIE'S POVI was curled up in a ball, laying on the cold ground, my mind filled with thoughts, most especially the words Carl had said to me. I was relieved that there was a chance, the quadruplets will not be assassinated, but my chances of ever leaving this place has reduced drastically. They were my last hope, the only people that could get me out of here, but that plan was long gone.I let out a sigh, confusion and a bit of urgency hitting me. I was clueless how, on what to do now. I had no plan, and now way to escape. A thought of dread hit me when I realized that the dark king may actually have his way with me.I shook my head, as I sought to dispel every negative thoughts that clouded my head. This could not be the end. There had to be a way out, I told myself over and over again. The sound of the door creaking open made my head snap forward. My heart began to race as the door swung open slowly. Guards trooped in and marched up to my cage.
SUZIE'S POVThe wide space that lay before me stretch far, like a wasteland. Large rocks, seemingly from a building were seen, scattered everywhere. The ground was filled with white sand, and it felt like I was in a desert.Ahead were large, old buildings that looked like they dated back to the early 50s. The building however, were old, and most of them were crumbling down. The buildings looked sacred, like a shrine of some sort.I stumbled forward as one of the guards pushed me. I looked back at him, my eyes shooting daggers at him."Keep moving," He sneered. The dark king came up to me, flanking my side. He then walked forward, and then further into the landscape. The guards pushed me forward, and we walked closely behind the dark king.We kept walking, my eyes trailing from one building to another. I had never seen anything like this before, and it piqued my interest. The dark king led us further in, and my eyes caught a glimpse of a large concrete circle.Once we got closer, I cou
CARL'S POVIn my small room that was detached from the rest of the palace, I was seated by my small desk, weapons spread right in front of me. My eyes glanced through each item, making sure that everything was intact. My knife, explosives and bombs were all set in place.I let a satisfactory nod, as I confirmed that everything was complete.Assassinating very powerful alphas was not an easy task. Using brute force was not an option, so I decided to use the ways I normally fought, a cunning way. After making sure all my weapons and tools were intact, I rose up from the chair. My eyes scanned the dreadful looking room I was in. The dark king was not as generous as it seemed he would be, since he was paying me a considerable amount of money. He had given me this room, as a place to stay while I went about doing his duties.I had no choice but to accept it, as I had nowhere else to sleep. Before I met the dark king, I would jump from one tin down motel to the other, and most times, I foun
CARL'S POVMy heart was racing in my chest as I stared at four of them. This was an unexpected turn of events, and I was clueless on how to go forward from here. I was the type of person that liked to plan, and without I plan, I was hopeless."You thought you were so smart," Asher scoffed as he folded his arms.Blair stepped forward, his fists clenched by his side. He looked ready to pounce on me, but I has already taken a defensive stance."You made the mistake of telling Elliot about the assassination attempt. That way we made sure we were prepared," Felix said.I grinned, clapping my hands in their faces. "I am impressed that you all took the initiative to surprise me like this. But telling Elliot was me giving you all a handicapped."Blair's face turned red with anger. "You cocky bastard!"He rushed to me, but I swiftly dodged to the side and gave them some distance. This was not a battle I could win of I faced them head on, so I had to brew up a way to escape this situation, aliv
SUZIE'S POVThe birds chirping outside the window, roused me up from my sleep. I moved around in the bed and noticed that there was no one beside me. My eyes fluttered open, and I pushed myself up on the bed as I rubbed my eyes.I looked around, my eyes scanning the empty bed as questions popped up in my head. I vividly remember falling asleep in my mates arms, but now, they were no where in sight.Where had they gone?I looked around, unsure of where they could've gone and why they were not in the bed when it was just a few minutes past 6am. I pushed myself up from the bed and as my feet touched the ground, the door burst open and my mates trouped in.Asher was grinning at me and beside him was Blair, who held a large tray in his hand. My eyes moved to Roy and Felix, who also has trays in their hand. I was puzzled and I raised my eyebrows at them."What is all of this?" I asked."We wanted to surprise the most beautiful woman in the world with some breakfast in bed. Pretty neat right
CARL'S POVI slipped through the window, my body hitting the floor. I breathed out a sigh of relief as I rose up from the floor, and dusted the dirt away from my shirt. I looked around the room, one more time to confirm if Elliot was here.Thankfully, he wasn't.I quickly peeled off everything item of clothing I had on, and slipped on a robe. I needed to act and look like I had never left the room before he came back. I quickly changed back to my original form, but the make up I had applied on my face was still there.I swiped some wipes off the table and sat in front of the vanity mirror. I had applied on some heavy make up, just in case someone managed to recognise me through the disguise. I wiped my forehead, and slowly went down to my eyebrows.I wiped of the mascara, and just as I was about to wipe off the red lipstick, I began to hear the locks on the door click. I froze, unable to move as I watched the door unlock. The door clicked, and swung open.My eyes went wide as they fel
SUZIE'S POV"Hey, how are you holding up?"I was suddenly jolted out of my mind, and it was only them I realised that I had still been staring at the burning pack house, only that now, it wasn't ablaze anymore. The remains, ashes, black debris was the only thing in sight.I turned back to see Felix, gazing at me with softness in his eyes. I shot him a wry smile, because even I was unable to tell if I was okay or not. Everything had happened so fast, and it was overwhelming. My mind kept replaying each scene, and I knew I would remember these events for a very long time. The carriage shook, and I turned to see Felix settling down beside me. He wrapped his arm around me and I snuggled closer to him, placing my head on his chest. He stroked my hair and the feeling put a sense of calmness over me."You don't have to say anything, I can tell how you're feeling. Everything that happened was really heavy and you are honestly very strong for pushing through."I chuckled. "The only reason I co
SUZIE'S POVThe boy I held in my hands, was not only covered in my blood, but his as well. I only noticed when I saw the large cut wound at his side. Blood was gushing out from the large wound, and the life in his eyes were slowly dimming out.My eyes went wide and I ran my hands across his face. "No, no, no, I can't let you die," I muttered through gritted teeth.I tried to push myself up from the ground, when I felt a sharp pain, just above my abdomen. The pain stopped me from moving, and my eyes travelled down to the spot. A large branch was stuck right in that spot, and blood filled the floor below it.I groaning, feeling the pain rising as I kept moving. I ignored the pain, and pushed myself up, until my back was resting on a large boulder. I held the bit close, his eyes blinking rapidly. His breathing was getting shallow by the minute, and soon, I could not see the rise and fall of his chest. My lips began to quiver, and so did my hands. I clutched him tightly, like he was my la
SUZIE'S POVI turned my head back slowly, and my eyes fell on the young boy. He had his first clenched to his sides and a mean scowl on his face. He had his gaze son Blair, who was still trying to recover. What had just happened? I assumed that Blair will deal with the boy easily, so what was going on?"Fuck, that bastard, how is he that strong? I underestimated him," Blair groaned as he rose to his feet. The boy began to breathe heavily, with his chest rising and falling rapidly. He eyes were growing redder by the minute, and so was his skin. He looked at me, and a chill ran down my spine."How dare you, how dare you, how dare all of you! How dare you interrupt me from serving my purpose in life!"He screamed again, and it resembled the shriek of that hideous monster. I placed my hands on my ears and winced as they began to ring. I watched, mortified as the boy's body began to change slowly. His skin grew as red as blood and two large horns emerged from his forehead. His eyes now hel
SUZIE'S POVI ran, as fast as my quivering legs could carry me. I was too scared to turn back, but I could hear the shrieks and screams of the monster, right behind me. I could hear the sound of it crawling through the boulder, and I knew it was a matter of time before it got its hands on me.My breath was laboured and I was gasping for air at this point. My legs were getting weak, but I had to push on. The images of my mate, and the sounds of their struggles replayed in my mind. My vision blurred with tears as I thought of their condition.I wished I could go back for them, but I could only pray that they weren't badly hurt. The screams of the entity rang through the air once again, the sound bouncing off against the wall, and making the whole cave shudder. Rocks and debris began to fall, hitting my skin, and nicking it.But I ignored the bruises and kept running. It didn't take long, like I had anticipated, before I could hear the sound of the monster heavy steps behind me. It was c
SUZIE'S POVI was in awe, and I didn't know how to act, or react to the tantrum Geraldine was exhibiting right in front of me. She kept shrieking like a mad person, again and, until the walls began to vibrate."What is she doing?" Asher asked.I turned to them, and they eyes were fixed on her, a fearful and confused look on their faces. I snapped my head back and suddenly, Geraldine passed. With her hands in the air and her eyes looking up to the roof, she stood still, unmoving.I watched, in amusement, as she slowly brought her hands back to her side and she looked at me. Her face and her whole demeanour was calmer that it was, a few seconds ago. She sighed and smiled at me while she shook her head."I knew it would come to this," she sighed, "I knew you would refuse my offer, and how i wish you had accepted. Now, I am forced to use my last resort."Last resort? All the hairs at the back of my neck stood up straight. I had a terrible feeling about her words, and I could not shake it
SUZIE'S POVMy eyes went so wide, I feared they would fall of, as I gazed at the people that trooped into the cave. They were children, elderly men and woman, and a few young men, but they all looked malnourished. Some of the were missing a limb, while some looked like they had a permanent brain disorder. Some could barely walk, and they limped, while some of them looked so skinny, their bones were protruding out of their skin.It was so bad, that I thought their bones would pop out, and tear through their skin. They all stood beside Geraldine, and they could not gaze into my eyes. They all looked downwards, and most of them did not have functioning eyes.I did not know whether to feel pity, or shock at the sight that was before me. And I couldn't even look at them, because of how deformed most of them looked. They didn't look human, and they had a creepy aura surrounding them.Geraldine's gaze switched to me, and she had a more firm and calm demeanour."As you can see, these are the
SUZIE'S POV"Please, forgive him, he was just a boy that went astray, do forgive him. He didn't know what he was doing," Geraldine said aa she clasped her hands together.I looked at the way her eyes were pleading with me. Hee whole demeanour looked like she was desperate. She was, but there was nothing I could do to help her. It also angered me that she wanted me to just forgive the dark king's transgressions so easily."You make it seem like the dark king, the things he did holds no weight, but it seems like you do not understand the height of the things he did. He sent our a deadly plague to my people. He killed families, children, women, men, he killed them without batting an eye lid. He tortured me countless of times and molested me when I was just a child!"My whole body began to quiver as I began to remember those bitter memories I had hidden at the back of my mind. I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I turned to see Asher, comforting me. I placed my hand on his ansShot him a sma
