I was curled up in a ball, laying on the cold ground, my mind filled with thoughts, most especially the words Carl had said to me. I was relieved that there was a chance, the quadruplets will not be assassinated, but my chances of ever leaving this place has reduced drastically.
They were my last hope, the only people that could get me out of here, but that plan was long gone.
I let out a sigh, confusion and a bit of urgency hitting me. I was clueless how, on what to do now. I had no plan, and now way to escape. A thought of dread hit me when I realized that the dark king may actually have his way with me.
I shook my head, as I sought to dispel every negative thoughts that clouded my head. This could not be the end. There had to be a way out, I told myself over and over again.
The sound of the door creaking open made my head snap forward. My heart began to race as the door swung open slowly. Guards trooped in and marched up to my cage.
