Caras pov

“Mama, tell me a story.” A little girl in a flowery gown tugged at her mother's cloth, her laughter soft and pure.

Her mother glanced at her father, who leaned against the doorframe with a faint smile. “Let your father tell it this time,” she said.

“Please, Papa?” the girl begged.

He crouched, chuckling. “Only if you listen closely.”

The girl climbed into his lap, her eyes bright with excitement. The moment was perfect, but perfection never lasted.

A crash shattered the peace. The walls shook with howls and snarls.

“What’s happening?” the girl whispered, clutching her mother.

Her father’s expression darkened. “Hide,” he ordered, moving fast to uncover a hidden compartment on the floor.

Her mother knelt, her voice trembling as she brushed the girl’s hair. “You’re strong,” she whispered. “Never forget that.”

Tears streamed as the girl was placed inside. “We love you,” her father said before closing the lid.

Caras povThe knock on my door was hard and sharp, jolting me out of the restless haze of half-sleep. I have been stuck in my former room after my last meeting with Alpha Black. I was still perplexed by my last dream. It was in two parts. The first was the same dream I had before, about a little girl whose pack was attacked. Then suddenly, it changed to the part of the handsome white-haired man. From his piercing eyes, he was a werewolf, a very powerful one at that. And it looks like he was fighting a very tough battle. But the thing that caught my attention was the way through his mere gaze, my blood reacted to him. my bloodline had roared inside of me, with great strength when he stared at me.Not understanding what the dream meant, I shook my head, standing up, with my heart hammering, but before I could take a step, those knocking burst in. A maid entered the room, her gaze lowered, accompanied by a tall warrior whose broad frame filled the doorway. He looked at me without any exp

Caras pov I woke up to the cold feeling of coldness numbing my wrists. My arms were stretched above me, and heavy chains running from the roof down, were cuffed into my wrists. The room was dim, the air heavy with the scent of damp stone. I tugged weakly at the chains, but they didn’t budge. My strength was gone, the repressant doing its job this time. The door creaked open, and in came in Alpha Black together with a bodyguard that was covered head to toe with heavy metals, leaving only the two orbs inplace of the eyes hole. He flaclnked alpha Black who had an expression of anger mixed with disappointment, his dark eyes smoldering with barely contained fury. “You really are a fool,” he said, his voice low and dangerous. “Who is he, the spiked haired warrior” not paying attention to what he was ranting about I asked him what have been bothering me since the time I was injected the repressants.I was almost close to escape, close to my freedom, but the spiked haired warrior, was

Cara's POVCold. That was the first thing I felt as I regained consciousness. The kind of cold that didn’t just touch your skin, it sank into your very bones, stealing every ounce of warmth. My vision was blurry, and a pounding headache throbbed at the base of my skull. I tried to move, but the sharp clink of metal echoed through the room. Panic set in as I looked down to find myself chained to a cold, metallic table. The restraints bit into my wrists and ankles, and the sizzling pain told me they were coated with wolfsbane. My stomach twisted. Where was I?.The room was dimly lit, the faint glow of a single bulb casting shadows across the walls. Surgical instruments glinted in the light, lined up neatly on a nearby tray. What was I doing here, tired like a lap rat inside an abandoned lab. I yanked at the chains, the metal biti

The world around me blurred into an indistinct haze of sorrow, pain, and the heavy scent of ash and blood. Two days had passed, though time had lost its meaning to me.I could hear them. The people. Cara's POVThe piercing sound of the war drum echoed through the air, sending chills down my spine. All around me, the arena descended into chaos. Brian stood tall, unwavering, his piercing gaze scanning the scene with the sharpness of a predator. The once vibrant faces of the Mafian pack, the people who had gathered for what should have been a resolution to Jules’ rebellion, were now etched with fear and determination.A sudden cry rang out. That was the shout of war acceptance. Warriors and rogues in their wolf form. streamed into the clearing, their weapons glinting in the dim light. I instinctively moved closer to Brian, my heart pounding as adrenaline coursed through my veins. Garreth’s arrival with Brian’s elite warriors was supposed to have tipped the balance, but fate had other plans. Emerging from the shadows like a tidal wave, enemy forces flooded the arena, their banners bearing the mark of the Council. And another symbol I can not make out. Like a sign of three wolves inte

Cara’s POVThe pressure and immense tension that fell over the arena was so thick it could be cut with a knife. At the center of it all stood Elder Jules, his signature smug grin plastered on his face, his arrogance radiating as strongly as the midday sun. He carried himself like an untouchable monarch, reveling in his perceived invincibility.I clenched my fists, forcing myself to meet his gaze. “This isn’t your pack, Jules. It’s Brian’s.”Jules chuckled, the sound cold and sharp, slicing through the fragile silence. “Slow down, young Omega. I am a respected elder of this pack. As such, I have every right to do what I am doing.”A collective intake of breath rippled through the gathered crowd, as though his words carried an unspoken threat. The elders, revered as symbols of wisdom and justice, held an unshakable authority. Even now, despite the undercurrent of fear, no one dared challenge him.“You’re sowing seeds of doubt and chaos,” I said, my voice steady even though anger churned

Cases of theft and robbery were a predominant situation these days. The once-unshakable Mafian Wolf Pack felt fractured, its foundation weakened without its Alpha. My gaze lingered on Brian’s face, pale and motionless, his strong frame looking smaller and more fragile than ever. I reached out, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead. “You’re stronger than this,” I whispered, my voice barely audible. “You always have been.”But no matter how many times I said those words, no matter how many sleepless nights I spent trying to heal him with the powers I had come to fear, nothing changed.
